You're clearly lacking some professionalism here. There are good posters who deserved a spot, and shitposters who clearly don't.
You could make life easier for yourself by fixing these problems.

Re: How many types of Altcoin are there?

Now that there is a lot of Altcoin in the market, do you know how many types it has?
You can classify them by different criteria.
For example, you can classify them by the distribution: coins distributed by mining, ICOs or airdrops.

But the best way to classify them is by the technology, which can be PoW, PoS and, an old concept, but only recently brought to crypto: DAG, which stands for Directed-Acyclic-Graph.

Re: Interesting new blockchain projects with social benefits?

I think Byteball is a very innovative cryptocurrency, and quite underpriced for the level of development the currency has right now.

For you who looks for a project with social benefits, it brings conditional smart-payments, which opens up a range of possibilities in the insurance sector.
It uses a new consensus mechanism (DAG) to allow the best possible level of scalability. It has already a very user-friendly wallet, and development happens continuously. so keep an eye on it.

Re: ICOs are getting attacked and banned everywhere, ETH is dumping hard

It might be temporarily painful to some people, but I tell you that it's better to be done now than later.

Imagine these things reaching the trillion dollar total market cap, and then people see that 99% of them are nothing else but empty promises. It would be terrible for crypto, and good projects would be affected too.

Re: How to not get SCAMMED investing in ICOs!!!
by
megalith researcher
on 23/03/2018, 06:30:29 UTC
The problem here lies in the fact that the creators of a project can create fake accounts and buy coins from themselves, and there is not way to prevent that kind of practice without any type of regulation that involves verification of IDs.

That's why I think that, in the future, if ICOs will continue to exist, they will be regulated.

Re: The big schock coming! But to which levels? 8500 or further?
by
megalith researcher
on 02/02/2018, 11:22:18 UTC
Hi guys and girls,

I think the time is there for the big shock in price.
I do not know how low it will go. If it continues from here (9200) it will go to at least 8500, maybe 6800.
I still see a lot of potential for bitcoin to grow, but this kind of correction (backtest) is nessecary to go back up again.
There is enough money that wants to flow in, so i would not worry.
I keep my position and am ready to buy a little more!

To which levels do you think we are heading?

I think it can go to $7000, and, as you said, it might be necessary before we see new highs.
I think the trick now is to be patient, and do not trade if you are not experienced. History has shown that trade at the bottom price is, most of the time, a bad idea.

Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ?
by

Bitcoin is controversial only in the minds of people, because in reality, it is one of the most transparent things that exists.

Besides using blockchain technology, it is open source, which allows people to evaluate and understand all aspects of it.

It looks like even Coinbase is having really big problems. It doesn't mean it will fail, but the article has very good points about the problems exchanges are facing.

Re: Do you USE your BTC?
by
megalith researcher
on 06/12/2017, 17:05:15 UTC
I've used it sometimes, to charge my cell phone and pay some bills, but the fees doesn't make it very attractive for such use cases.
I'm confident this will be better in the future though. The network needs time to receive more improvements, and the market needs more companies, so there is more competition and lower commissions charged by these services.

Re: So low market cap is better for investment?
by

on 02/11/2017, 04:45:28 UTC
Not necessarily, but chances are higher that you will find 10x to 100x return potential in coins with low position in coinmarketcap, let's say, between position 15 and 50. Below that, the vast majority of coins are projects that you don't want mess with.

Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!
You chose coins with not very solid fundamentals. I would not be holding these bags, but you have to choose what is the best for yourself.

Not holding very well against USD. Are we going to see the MB at 10 cents? Sounds too good to be true.
I guess you can't buy it with USD yet, I see only GBYTE/BTC market.

I'm surprised BCash still has a multi-billion dollar market cap, it's quite high for a cryptocurrency with almost no usage and very few developers.

Preferably something that is not the result of an ICO...

Re: I need some advice on NEO
by

on 19/09/2017, 10:51:37 UTC
I bought 79 coins at $30.7 like a dummy... Anyway I'm down quite a large amount. I'm not hoping to sell and take the loss, but I may if things don't look up.
I am hoping if anybody can give their insight as to whether or not NEO may bounce back.

I was thinking it would bounce back to at least $28 range if China brings out good news this week, but no sign of that as of now.

Any opinions?
I see now that the price is around 20 bucks, so I hope you have sold last week. If not, being an alt with significant hype, there is a chance to recover, but the risk of holding it continues to be high, since it seems that Bitcoin will continue to go up.

Re: Do you read ICOs white paper before investing?
by
megalith researcher
on 19/09/2017, 10:43:05 UTC
I prefer not to invest into ICOs, not by the sole fact of being an ICO, but because most ICO proposals that I've seen so far don't make much sense. That's also the reason why I avoid reading the whole whitepaper. But I bet that not even half of the people who put money into it read the whole thing.

Re: Can we stop calling all coins pump and dump?
by
megalith researcher
on 30/08/2017, 07:01:38 UTC
But that's what the vast majority of these cryptocurrencies are. The reason is simple, most of them do not have any real use-case, besides speculation, of course. Even Bitcoin was considered a pump and dump in its early days, until people finally realized that it is useful for something.

Re: Filecoin Presale Raises $52 Million Ahead of ICO Launch

I don't understand how these ICOs are getting tens of millions of dollars in short periods of time (in a pre-sale, in that case). Some way of knowing if the developers are not buying coins from themselves.
