Re: Long-term investment.

Long term investment is pretty cool. the only challenge here is how ready are you for that feat.
If you are liquid; why get in a haste to sell off you potential investments on the short run.

Again; you need a very good analysis of some ICO project to discover that most doesn't seem to have that intrinsic value. Taking a close look and discovering an unexpected appreciation in value; it's actually worth selling off and reinvesting same in coins with better promises.

In all; it's not all about long term Hodle; but long term with utmost vigilance.

Re: First cryptocurrency company listed on London Stock Exchange raises Rs 224 crore

Initially it was coinbase accepting GBP on their platform and people were critical about the idea; now we're witnessing signs that cryptocurrency may be going into full bloom in the United Kingdom with this listing of a mining company on the exchange.

it doesn't matter much about organisational principles of a company; what matters much is that the cryptosphere is bn propagated and going the right direction which includes: visibility, acceptability, increased usage etc. these factors will no doubt add value to the cryptosphere.
I think this is a plus to the crypto community.

Re: Strategy to invest in crypto ?
by

on 09/08/2018, 22:46:19 UTC
I think am learning something new here, normally i dont have a particular strategy; all i do is invest, get to the exchange and then sell off.
The only place i apply this kind of strategy is in my bounty rewards. I share them 50/50; utilize some for none crypto related transactions and the rest goes to crypto related investments; altcoins in particular.

This is an eye opener Grin

Re: HODL or NOT? Оne year HODL expirience.

An impressive story i must say. However; i know three guys that purchased a particular coin at the ICO; when this coin got to the exchange, the value quadrupled seriously bullish....
Two of the guys sold off their coins to fiat and made a hell lot of cash; while the other one is still waiting for the coin to come back to the value he bought the coin.

Greed can only be dealt with if you have a strategy put in place. For me, i keep 60% of the coin and sell off fourty percent once i notices that a coin has mooned. In that way, i don't wallow in regrets and self pity.

You too can give that a trial.

Bitcointalk is actually a very big place to get all the informations you need. Check out the announcement channels and you'll be pretty impressed.
Again; sometimes you may not get all the informations you need from the channel. How about looking at the different signatures of the bitcointalk members Grin

all you need is just copy the url and check what they have to offer as most times, ICOs seems to go hand in hand with bounties Cheesy

Re: How bad are ICOs this year?
by

on 08/08/2018, 18:09:46 UTC
I will always emphasize due diligence in your personal research before indulging to invest in an ICO, wether the market is bearish or bullish.
Not all ICOs have a bad record. You can see some extending  their ICO/bounty duration for one lapse or the other. Again, a situation where one person buys into a fifth of an ICO is not really good for me. Check out at what is happening to Seele and you'll understand.

If you do your homework very well; a non performing coin today will definitely have a reason for bn in that situattion. Give it more time and you'll definiely reap from your investment. Crypto trading needs patience.

Re: Wallets for altcoins

I'd suggest myetherwallet anytime of the day.
Going by the brand alone, you'll know they have their integrity to protect.

I don't even consider most of the prevalent wallets that you can easily get out there.
What if you fall victim to a scam? you''ll have all your coins gone.

Provided you can safe keep your private key, myetherwallet remains a sure bet. Other people who already have success in an alternative wallets can share their experiences.

Re: Should I continue to invest?

Most of the rich investors i know today, didn't give up when they encountered a challenge. What they normally do is go back to the drawing board, check why they failed and then launch back for a more successful journey using a different strategy.

You need to get back to your own drawing board and check where you got it wrong in terms of forcasting before investing. Project utility, core team and team of advisers, competetive advantages amongst other things are what you need to check in your analysis of a project. Dont give up bro, the future will always be brighter if we get it right.

Re: My advice to bounty hunters About needmoney bounty.
by
meklinks4
on 08/08/2018, 17:36:08 UTC
I just wish to advice new or inexperienced bounty hunters looking to make some money by investing their energy, time, data and other resources to promote a project. If you love yourself stay away from NEEDMONEY bounty. Out of every five campaigns he manage three end up being scam, the remaining two takes a long time before you are paid and the tokens sometimes end up being useless and mind you his campaign are usually 9weeks and above. I have experienced this first hand and I want you to take a cue from me.
I am not putting this out here to pull him down but only if someone told me about this  I wouldn't have been a victim. It is unfair to waste your resources promoting projects for months and at the end of the day you don't get rewarded.
I think bounty hunters should be ready to call out this incompetent bounty managers so that others can learn and  won't fall a victim.
Also for those that have experienced a similar feat with him, share your experience.
Say no to incompetent bounty managers.

There is nothing more discouraging as putting in your precious time to help a project make the necessary impact, only to end up waiting endlessly to a very cheap token or worst still, discover you took part in a scam project damn; that's really a bad one.

Thanks for sharing @alexishugh7

Re: COINBASE now accepting BRITISH POUNDS for trading!
by

on 07/08/2018, 21:59:09 UTC
it's interesting to get several attacks on the reputation of the company rather than the news that just filtered in.
we celebrate the intended involvement of mastercard in the cryptosphere but attack this landmark achievement.

Have we asked ourselves the impact this news will have on the cryptosphere before these attacks?
How about the reputation of the country that owns the GBP; why wasnt they attacked?

My take: the widening exchange possibilities in many regular currencies will improve on the acceptability and acceptability of cryptocurrencies. If that gets to happen; the impact on crypto will be positive.

so to me, this is meant to be a welcomed development.
lets not leave the message and attack the messenger!

thank you!

Re: ICO VS TRADING
by

I beg to differ from the many advices that prefers trading to ICOs, with ICO, you have a slim chance of staying in profits. A slight mistake can wreck your entire investment.

Normally. investments in ICOs normally appreciates on getting to the exchange and even more when most of the targeted roadmaps are met.

i'd advice the author of this thread to research into the product offering, management team, competitive advantages and several other parameters that will prove to him that a project is a good one;

luckily for him; he can easily get into massive profiting in a very short time

I'd advice you to do your own personal research. Make out the time; pick randomly on altcoins within the first 50 and analyse their performance and the tendency for them to do better. I have shared some of my research parameters and am not bulging just yet. Inbox me if you don't trust your own analytical method.

After the research, you'll be amazed at what you'll discover.

Going back to your question; i'd suggest;

Re: Shall I buy BTC?
by
meklinks4
on 07/08/2018, 18:20:42 UTC
Bitcoin still have a utility value, in the sence that it can be used in making purchases amongst other values.
Again you need to check the needed impact of your investment. Are you looking forward to profitability?
if yes, why not look at other coins that also have utility values but are way cheaper to buy. assuming you are buying 1 bitcoin for $3000.00 and it appreciates by 50 dollars; you only gained $50.00
What if you buy 3000 seele at $0.5 each and it appreciates to $!.3?
please do the arithmetic and form your opinion.
Except if you have enough cash to buy multiple btc and on the long run; you'll definitely have a rethink.

your write up really means a lot and coming at the right time.
I started doing bounty when i didnt have a bitcoin account let alone becoming a newbie.
A friend explained the procedure to me and promised to credit me the proceeds of the content once my articles gets accepted.
As it stands today; my patience seems to be running out because most of my write ups has been accepted but payments hasn't been released.
And once again i'd say; thank you for the morale booster.

Re: how to earn token and coin free ?
by
meklinks4
on 07/08/2018, 03:54:38 UTC
I want to believe by now you've gotten enough information needed to make token.
let me just give you a recap

- bounties; where you engage in the advertising of an ICO through articles, videos and translations and end up been rewarded in tokens after the campain

- Airdrops; basically a social media campaign that involves you sharing informations about a coin or an ICO to create public awareness of the coin

- Freelancing; Platforms like the steemit will pay you in steem tokens for a good article that attracted so much reactions on the platform. Reactions like comments, upvotes, etc. will no doubt overtime give you a sizeable amount of inflows in token.

You can do other personal research as there are games that rewards you in tokens two via winnings

Re: ICO's in 2018
by
meklinks4
on 07/08/2018, 03:45:19 UTC
Any idea how many new ICO's will be launched in 2018.What will be the future of new projects.
As we can in 2017 It's like a bubble everyday new ICO's with few pages whitepaper, just a business plan no founder details,no physical address.
In order for us to have an idea of how many ICOs are going to be launched next year we will need to have a regulatory body that oversees the activities of ICOs and that is never going to happen, the only other way could be to calculate at the end of the year how many ICOs were created in this year and then with that information to try to predict how much more ICOs will be created

some months after now; i think the trend is actually changing greatly; the necessity of KYC's, the advent of SEC, some regional/national regulations etc. Very soon we'll be having Debit cards for crypto related transactions and this comes with further regulations if opted for. The idea of having the crypto-sphere remaining unregulated may not be a welcomed development; but on the long run; it's going to be obvious. The only challenge here may have to deal with an individual opting in for those activities that  has the regulatory frame works attached to them.

Have you taken your time to go through the cryptassist white paper?
Bros, those guys have nothing less than 10 features which i am very optimistic will be needed in the crypto market. Despite the services that they offer, they still have plans to enhance the coin values like burning funds accumulated via commissions, accepting most payments in the CTA tokens and given certain waivers in charges made with the token for transactions.

Am not trying to convince you, am only encouraging you to make your own research and see if what i just suggested made any sense.
