Hello andrucrypt,

i reduced the mem clock to 945 MHz. The first calculation do the "result rejected, low difficulty". The probleme stay for me (radeon software 20.10.35.02 - old design). If you have time (in future), it would be nice that your software works well for me. Thanks.
No overclock.  It's running at 1040 clock and 1500 memory.  I'm using 20.4.2
Sorry guys, will check your found bugs closely only next year. Happy holiday season and good profit to everyone Smiley

0.28.2 beta
- --print-devices now will print busID
- x11k algo will use the same algo for devfee, this should improve miner stability on some cards

Have a good one as well.  I don't think you need to worry about my problem.  I think the card is dying.  It crashes the computer on all miners.

I'm not able to mine raven with the default settings at auto nor others

wildrig.exe --print-full --algo kawpow --url stratum+tcp://rvn.woolypooly.com:55555 --worker test --user RJjr1sMM2uVsiBpUN86vgbs3JnkPzwfWFD --pass x --opencl-threads auto --opencl-launch auto

I've tried 1 and 2 threads, lowered intensity from 23 to 18.  I just get crashes.  Any ideas?

what's your error? What gpu's are you using?

There's no error in the console.  It just goes blank and eventually the machine crashes.  This is on one r9 390
what driver version are you using and what OC settings?

Undervolting the R9 390s to  -30mV and using the parameter: --opencl-launch 24x128, the hashrate reach 15.5 Mh/s (Core Clock 1100, Memory Clock 1500). Temperature around 70c

What is your actual voltage being reported?  All of my 390s probably need new thermal paste, I can't overclock and I have to underclock just to have a normal temperature.  Also do your cards hold a steady 1100, or does the clock bounce around?

Voltage 1.102V, Core Clock at 1100 Steady

Thanks.  Mine can't do that.  Oh well

I just noticed at the nicehash site that it says I don't have xnsub activated, yet I did not put "--no-extranonce" in my bat...
Hmm, seems I need to fix handling set_extranonce, since I don't change anything if there no "new job" after it. Thanks for reorting, hope will fix this in next release.

Could this be the cause of the problem I have at NiceHash?

Also I've noticed that the kernel gets re-compiled while mining, is this expected behavior?

0.24.1 beta
- fixed broken non-progpow algorithms
- progpow-kernel now set to 2 for Vega
- tune up slightly progpow kernel 2

I think I misled you about the amount of rejects, it's pretty much all of them.  I can't use kernel 2 at all the way it is now.  I'm stuck using kernel 0 or 1 which give me about 14 mh/s.  A hotfix would be greatly appreciated, you have the only public stable AMD kapow miner.
Looks like NiceHash sending weird seed phrase sometimes(read it from z-enemy dev), and maybe this is a reason of your problem. Right now I have no idea what can I do here, but will look into it.

That's interesting, but I haven't noticed it the problem with my 290 machines.  I'll test a different pool, then I'll try different drivers, and report back.

Tested at 2miners and it worked fine.  Went back to nicehash and it works fine.  I guess the z-enemy dev got in touch with them.

Nice work on 0.24.1, I got a little speed boost.

Well, the problem came back.  Could it be that the nicehash buyer is pointing it at a bad pool or doesn't know how to set it up?

Hello, I suggest to mine directly RVN in RavenMiner Pool, using Static Diff. I was mining the first days in nicehash and the avg hashrate was 20% under the displayed in the WildRig miner console. Now in mining in the pool the hashrate is almost 100% of displayed by miner.

Yes I should be doing that, and may switch to it, but I'm just a little too busy now.  Maybe I should focus on that.

0.24.0 beta
-added parameter --progpow-kernel(1 or 2 can give better hashrate on different drivers or gpu configuration)
-speedup ProgPow/KawPow up to 10% on pre-Navi gpu's

Compare different --progpow-kernel values(1 or 2) in benchmark(on KawPow add --benchmark --benchmark-epoch 170 on ProgPowZ try --benchmark --benchmark-epoch 17)

Kernel 2 is great for Vega 56's with 19.2 drivers around 19mh/s but I got too many Share Above Target rejects with Send Stale Shares activated.  I turned send stale shares off and it seems to work fine. Is this expected behavior?

edit: As soon as I posted that, I started getting rejects for Share Above Target.
what pool it is? Difficulty?

Nicehash    256M

The rejects don't happen all the time.  Could it be the person that 'rented' my hash pointed it to a bad pool?
Would a newer driver work better?
Looks I have found the reason. Job target should be all 256 bits, not just 64 bit I check. Will fix that in next release. But this is not critical, since miner shouldn't send this solutions anyway. What about drivers, I prefer good old one 18.3.4 or 18.6.1

I'm using 19.2     I don't think the miner is sending the solutions, it disconnects, then recompiles the kernel.  Then the rejects start over again.

I can't open the miner, I get this:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I've updated to the latest redistributables and .NET runtimes.

Any ideas?

I just noticed you have this on the 1st post

NOTE: Update in progress. XFX R9 290X benchmark done with new auto parameters from next release.

It has been a while since I checked the first post, has this released already happened or is it going to be a future release like 15.3.9 or 15.4

Thank you for continuing to support GCN2.

Thanks
Done, check build 0.15.3.3

Thank you!
