I myself have taken a calculated risk and purchased this...

When you "calculate" your risk based on the words of some anonymous dude/gal on an internet forum - that's not risk, that's charity.

Risk is calculated by what you could afford to possibly lose, in relation to how much you have in total. Being a fulltime forex trader has blessed me so that 4000usd is a 'small' risk, let alone 400....so i assure you it is calculated risk mate. The price to pay either way. What you are referring to is judgement bro.

There seems to be some hostility and anger in this group. The fear is very much present here.

Fear = No risk/Play it safe = Smart = Boring/No emotional attachment = No possibilitiy of pleasure or pain
No Fear = Take risk/Experiment = Not Smart = Exciting/Emotionally attached = Possibiblity of pleasure or pain

Human beings fall into 1 of 2 of these categories. Regardless of industry there will always be a place for innovation, and along with it will always come the scammers.  I myself have taken a calculated risk and purchased this...I am sure thousands of others did for all these units to sell out.

The interesting part of this is the OP stated that once someone sees the chip and how it is setup that others will be able to clone it.  So "if" it is an actual working fpga and worth anything others will be along to make copies of it.

yes it seems that way......will still need the firmware to be coded to mine certain algos though

I believe this is actually FPGA and can be firmware updated...not your average ASIC machine...there may still be great value in these units. Especially if a home dev manages to find a hack for v7 or heavy. Cryptocurrency is an uncharted territory and a battle between manufacturers/devs and the altcoin devs is well underway.
