Could we get an update as to where the eASIC deal is at...

Is it still been mulled over by Lawyers? Is it pending ExCo approval?
Is it still in the hashing phase, rolling out all the deats?

Its been 2 weeks since anything substantial to the actual eASIC deal thats been released. I understand there have been updates as to the progress of ActiveMining as a whole. I'm just interested in the eASIC deal. I'm not saying "WHY YOU NO COMMUNICATE!".

Just wondering if ActiveMining-PR could provide an update please  Kiss

These "OMG WTF INSTANT ANSWER PLZ" are somewhat counter productive to discussion of the ACTIVE MINING. My 50k~ shares in ACTM give me a little piece of the pie. It's Friday, chillax... if no update by Monday had been provided then I would release the hounds; till then... time to go stretch the legs.

I can only assume Ken is having an hectic time trying to keep up with life and business at the moment.

Ah ok, so my information is accurate:

20k chips already paid for
The 68 boards, at 16 chips per, 1088 chips and assembly paid for
Now the coming expense on the quote with the Engineering firm for the remaining chips to be assembled onto the Avalon clone boards

Is the above accurate?

Ken Slaughter:
Yes

According to this earlier quote, the 20k chips are already paid for, yet Ken is now saying it's an upcoming expense?

He's talking about the boards not the chips.

How are we going with the AMC BTC-TC -----> AM BTC-TC. I see its still awaiting approval by BTC-TC?

I've read through the post and I am just clarifying for BTC-TC AMC-PT Shares -> BTC-TC AM Shares.

Those that want to keep shares on BTC-TC will need to wait for a couple of days whist BTC-TC creates the new AM-PT and at that point according to past posts BTC-TC should auto swap over the shares for BTC-TC Share holders.

If this changes please let me know Smiley I know the 31st is a little while away but I both keen and anxious to make sure this changes over smoothly.

Kslaughter has thus far been very committed to answering questions and providing updates for the community. Very excited to see where AM goes in the next couple of months.

Ken is on a mini vacation at the moment.

I am confident he will really sort things out once he gets back. A clear concise overview of what is happening and then a detailed breakdown of whats happening would really ease my mind and maybe those of the skeptics. Dumping now (weak hands) will only net small gains, look for the long term.

Love your work kslaughter.

I think being in competition with ASIC Mining, Active Mining is a good name for it, anything else would seem second rate to me.

ASIC Mining is clearly ASICMINER-PT on BTC-TC and Active Mining will more than likely be AM-PT. They may be confusion if someone refers to ASIC Mining as AM, but I feel people will still refer to this as AMC even though it will be AM to differentiate.

I don't think that is going to happen, AMC will continue to exist for a long time to come.  Even if the 10M shares where all swapped for VMC shares, AMC still has more to offer and will continue to grow.  The only difference will be that some of the revenue from AMC will flow into VMC.  I think it is a win for AMC and a win for VMC.

Ken, from the bolded points above, it is clear that you have mixed up what was supposed to happen ... what everyone was asking for.

AMC and VMC was supposed to be merged ... so that there is only ONE entity.

Now, you are completely changing this around so that both will still exist, and AMC will grow ??

This is completely wrong! and will bring us right back to all the issues and dramas of the last 130 pages of this thread.

You need to merge AMC into VMC, with the express intention of COMPLETELY dropping AMC from existence.

Sure, it will take sometime for all AMC shares to be swapped over, but no one is going to hold on to AMC shares on purpose when they know AMC is being closed/merged into VMC.

If you don't do this, and FIX what you have been saying for the past few pages, then we are right back where we started. Two companies, and a lot of crap in between.

Please fix it, and stop confusing/mixing sh!t up.

Ideally a single company with shares ie. VMC. At worst; two companies, One with shares, the other without.

I really don't know how it will play out, but shareholders which decide to not swap will continue to receive their dividends for the foreseeable future.  I think there wii be a market for the shares

How will AMC shares still receive dividends if mining dividends will be paid to VMC shares? Won't the Avalon's and the 20k chips be used to mine for VMC shareholders?
I believe that VMC will be buying back or absorbing the majority of AMC's shares, AMC will still mine and payout to their shareholders. VMC will be a majority shareholder of AMC and pass on the dividend to the VMC shareholders.
(Dont know if this is the case, but thats how I interpret it)

I interpret that as AMC will purely mine and give dividends for mining. VMC will receive dividends for both mining and sales.

AMC and VMC will share dividends from mining? and VMC will have the added dividends from sales?

I have AMC-PT Shares on BTC-TC. I am reading that we need to swap them to VMC? Which hasn't started a PT on BTC-TC yet?!

Ditto.

Looks like it hasn't started on Bitfund either. I think we need to sit tight and keep a close eye on it when Ken releases the VMC Shares.

The calculator is awesome. Nice find Smiley

I too received a never result.
But on the flip side its only 12 dollars away from being paid off in a 24 month period at a 1%/day difficulty rise.

My plan is to continually add to my pool until it can negate this investment.

The 20 odd that I wish to purchase will push my pool up to 16GH/s. The existing 8000 has almost paid itself off. It would have paid itself off much faster if I didn't have to pay for power.

You do raise a good point tho; Everyone should do their research and review their motives before deciding to invest in mining equipment.

I am buying them for the portability and power usage. They will eventually pay themselves off.

I can't run my 12x7950s at work (They create a lot of heat and noise.) I can however run 50 (planned) of these little suckers at work.

I could fill the whole 50 order in about 1 months time but I might as well kick things off and help others get small amounts as well. Instead of paying 1400 in power bills every quarter I can reduce and replace them with something right now. Something that ASICMiners have available and are shipping. I don't want to wait till September for this. The Diff at that point will be at around 98Mill (Rough Estimation). If I consistently add to the ASICMiner USB's which I might add take up a very small footprint. I can keep up with the diff changes. I've been calculating at a 20% diff rise - Adding these miners to my 12GH/s farm I already run and adding to this run with newer ASIC miners replacing the GPUs I will be able to keep ahead and make a profit.

If you have free energy who cares if it takes a year to pay itself off? Its all about multiples/quantity.

If you have 1 share with ASICMiner and you were paid .02 each week... it would still take you two years to have that share pay itself off. That's factoring in it does last that long and the share consistently pays it out with the ever increasing diff.

TL;DR: Why wait for empty ASIC (60+GH/s) promises when you can have something now factoring in no power. USB ASIC Miners are small, portable, silent and easy.
