I think if he shapeshifts BTC to alt coins , like litecoin , ethereum  then it is impossible to track. So BTC wallet address do not matter. Right ?

I dont know who stole, I think one person knew the seed in my desktop wallet because I left the paper including my seed on a table and some people must have seen that.

And I dont understand what kind of risk you are mentioning about .

Hello everybody .

Some of my bitcoins are stolen. And I have a teachnical question about this.

If the thief shapeshifts my BTC to alt coins , like Litecoin , Ethereum , Dash or Monero , then all tracking info gets lost ?

In this situation , is there a chance still to track ?

Electrum is quiet safe as the private keys (seed) is generated on your mahine only. You need to keep the seed safe and you can access your funds anytime you want. Plus you can go for a watch only wallet with electrum, keeping your private keys safe. Hope this helps.

Second question : Can I create and use a password to access my wallet in Electrum ?


Watch only is same as read only. You'll be able to see all the addresses within the wallet but unable to spend those bitcoins.

And yes you can. Electrum supports pass protection. You need the pass to be able to send BTC  ... without pass it's just read only (watch only) wallet

And , I have second question : even if I use password protection in Electrum wallet , then someone knowing my private key can steal my BTC even if that person does not know the password ?

I am new at BTC and I think that , if someone knows my private key or seed to generate my private key , then he can easily steal all my Bitcoins . is that correct ?

Well this is very difficult to say if it will rise to 5000$ or not. It will depend if some major growing economy country legalize then yes it could inch towards 3500$ atleast. As majority coins is being held by China a negative move from China will certainly make the price fall flat. So yes it could breach 1000$ below at that time.


In China , did government make any good or bad action towards Bitcoin ? I mean did they ban or legalize Bitcoin ?

I think it is very difficult for price of Bitcoin to go below 1.000 $ . Actually I think it will rise upto 5.000 dolars soon .
