This is one of the most transparent projects run by a promising team. Still, I don't understand why price falling....

Running 11 AMD GPUs on AsRock H110 Pro BTC+

So I got my awaited AsRock H110 Pro BTC+ motherboard and finally managed to run 11 GPUs on Ubuntu 16.04. Here's the setup:

AsRock H110 Pro BTC+
Intel Celeron G3930
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2166 MH/s 8GB (4GB*2)
SSD 16 GB
9x Sappihire RX 480 8GB
2x Sapphire RX 580 4GB
2x Sapphire RX 470 8GB
3x 850W Thermaltake Toughpower RGB PSU

This is how to got 11 GPUs to work (duration: 7:15):

I will post update if I find something useful.

Of the 13 cards (not-yet-modded) installed, 11 are recognized and mining Ethereum at ~245 MH/s and Siacoin at ~7300 MH/s using Claymore's Dual miner. Instead of doing anything fancy I built an open frame with aluminium bars that cost me only $20.

OS: Ubuntu 16.04
RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3200MHz

Two GPUs work no matter how I connect them to motherboard, be it via risers or on 16x slots. If M.2 installed, only one GPU works. I'm currently using one 850W Thermaltake toughpower RGB PSU to run two GPUs, 850W should easily be able run three GPUs, right? Risers are SATA powered (instead of Molex).

ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 for 4-6 GPUs?

I wanted to build a rig with with Ryzen 5 1600 as the CPU mines cryptonote (XMR) at around 350H/s. ASRock AB350 with 6 PCIe looked to me a good option for the price, but I can't run more than two GPUs. Worse, when one M.2 SSD is installed, only one GPU works. Anyone tried this motherboard?

Blockchain distributed email service?
by
mhossen
on 28/05/2017, 00:01:37 UTC
A privacy friendly email service is long due. I'm a total noob in blockchain technology; my idea might look outright infeasible or there might already be such platforms.
Blockchain enables distributed storage solutions like SIA, storj; digital marketplace like LBRY and the list is becoming longer. Is it possible to create a distributed email service? https://protonmail.com, https://tutanota.com and https://mailbox.org, among a few others, claim to respect users' privacy. Still, distributed ecosystem is always more appealing.
