good is not always appreciated so quickly, people need to think and draw conclusions, and this takes time and huge amount of people dont really wanted to think . Only after this, more and more people will appreciate and love EMC2.

I have to agree with this - I have seen coins take off unpredictably when nobody would ever think that they would, take a look at the chaincoin graph if anyone is curious to see a coin go from nothing to something in a blink of an eye.

But the thing with EMC2 is, it is a great coin and is scrypt, and will always be around and viable for trading and Mining. Although there's not any proof of stake, it is a really good coin to HOLD if you ask me.

The value comes from the long-standing community behind it and the development staff that is still present,  even though  they are working on other projects perhaps, but we have good support and we can advance our marketing whenever you boys feel like doing so! ;-);-) ;-)

Good community? Give then a reference to the group in Telegram. I did not find it.

How active is this coin?
Is solo mining still possible?
Has it been affected by any major problems (hacks, code, etc.) ?

I am looking for a good investment.

Cheers,

Devs -
Love seeing MNX on Cryptopia!
However, when I go to withdraw my coins from Cryptopia, the withdraw fee shows 132 MNX
And the fee amount does not change when I adjust my withdraw amount.
I have opened a ticket with Cryptopia and they told me to ask the dev  LOL
So, any idea what the problem is?

Thanks,
the real Michael Phelps

EDIT:  Issue resolved, NOT THE SAME COIN

Hello!

Minex on Cryptopia it's not the same with MNX, it's other coin.

Aaarrrghh,  my bad!  Whoever made MINEX needs to go 'eff themselves.

Thanks though, Dev, certainly answers my question.

Dev can you please send plan for returning of 60% of the coins we have sent you for swap? Tnx

Sorry Doctor, you won't be getting anything back. This guy is a ripoff. Kiss your coins goodbye and invest in legitimate coins. This ain't one of them. Neither is CoinonatX and Etheriya all created by iam2good.
I suspect CTIC/CTIC2 are in the same line.

Yep!

The only option I see on bittrex is btc to zec. I do not show zec-btc therefore is it true I cannot trade zec-btc there?

You can just type ZEC into the search bar on the Bittrex main market page once logged in.

Improving wallet sync times from a bootstrap with command line arguments?
by
michael_phelps
on 27/05/2017, 22:42:57 UTC
I'm wondering how to improve wallet sync times from a bootstrap via command line (or .conf file) arguments.

Most wallet have the -dbcache= option where is size in MB of the database cache size. Default value varies depending on the coin. Increasing this value (something like 256 MB) will make your wallet sync faster when downloading the blocks from peers, but does it affects sync time when sycning from a bootstrap? (Question 1)

Another command is -dblogsize= where is the size in MB of the database disk log. What impact does increasing/decreasing this value have? (Question 2)

I am 99% sure that the command -maxreceivebuffer= will not affect syncing from a bootstrap, since you are loading blocks from your disk, not the network peers. True? (Question 3)

Lastly, some wallet do not have the -par= option listed on the available commands, so if it is not listed will it not function? (Question 4)

Thanks in advance everybody  Smiley

Dev-

Your whitepaper does not mention Coinonat.

It does, however, mention something completely different - Chronobank (the dev group), and also Ethereum blockchain  TIME  and  LH  tokens.   The following is a direct quote from your website (chronobank.io/faq):

Quote
Which blockchain network is ChoronoBank based on?

TIME token is on the Ethereum blockchain. LH tokens will be initially created on the Ethereum blockchain, and then the software will be ported to other blockchains: WAVES, NEM, ETC. We are focusing on the Ethereum blockchain; all others will be developed only after the system is fully operational, and there's a decent volume of LH tokens. In addition to that, we will have a 3rd party security audit of all smart contracts in the system.

Dev -- In order for this community to put any faith in you and your Coinonat project, you really need to answer the following question: How do you plan on connecting Coinonat (CXT) with your Ethereum based TIME and LH tokens mentioned in the whitepaper?

Sorry I get confused with all these different algos what exactly is nist5 ? Asic resistant ?
CPU or gpu ?

I have never heard of nist5 is it new ?

Remember Talkcoin? It was the BitcoinTalk forum coin (I think), and it used nist5 algo.  The algo is not used by itself for any other coin at the moment, but I think it is used in some of the X11/13/15/17 chained algorithms.

nist5 is minable with GPU and CPU.

I recommend this miner for GPU:  http://cryptomining-blog.com/2779-new-sph-sgminer-nist5mod-with-higher-performance-for-talkcoin-mining/

For CPU you can use cpuminer-opt or cpuminer-multi (minerd).

I have been solo mining this coin since release, and continue to do so because the diff is so low.

You can also mine it at this pool (official pool post to follow, I believe):

http://bitcrush.pw/

-> Use your Coinonat CXT address for your username, password is just 'x' (no quotes)

Enjoy!  Smiley

uhh.. guys?

Has anyone else looked at the whitepaper on the OP for Coinonat Huh

Quote from the Coinonat whitepaper, section two:

Quote
The ChronoBank System
Similar to existing stable-coins (such as USDT by Tether
and Digix), we propose a centralised entity that coordinates
the creation, redemption, and destruction of Labour-Hour
Tokens (LHT)
. We refer to this entity as the ChronoBank
Entity (CBE)
. It is responsible for the acquisition and
coordination of legally binding contracts for labour, in
addition to the creation and dissemination of LHT.

It appears that the dev (or devs) have bigger plans for the future.

What get me is the fact that the whitepaper contains absolutely No mention of Coinonat CXT...  whaaaaa??

Pool:

https://twlv.suprnova.cc

CPU Miner:

https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-twlv

Would appreciate if someone could compile a working Windows version of the cpuminer, my build environment on win is broken currently.

The CPU miner is just a "quick & dirty" hack, you have to mine using the "-a x11" switch even though its mining twlv instead of x11..

So for this miner version, the following string gets you going:

./cpuminer -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://twlv.suprnova.cc:5367 -u worker.username -p worker.password

Again, it is NOT x11, i just hacked the cpu miner to work with this algo and did not rename it !

Have fun

I am trying to build the minerd executable from the Git repo, but I am getting this when I run  make :

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [cpuminer] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/user/cpuminer-twlv'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/user/cpuminer-twlv'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Any suggestions?
