Thank you for your answer nc50lc!

I have a few more perhaps stupid beginner's questions:

I only have one wallet.dat file, so not several wallets. I use this as long-term storage for my coins.
I have passphrase encrypted my wallet and always make backups of the wallet.dat if I generate a new address.

If I now convert my wallet into an HD wallet or a Descriptor wallet and something goes wrong, can I still use my old wallet.dat file again if I copy it to the wallet.dat location via linux termial?

Should I update my wallet.dat at all? I hardly ever generate new addresses. Or do I have a disadvantage if I leave everything as it is?
What would you recommend?

Thx a lot

Michael

⭐ Merited by ETFbitcoin (2)
Hello,

I am running a wallet on ubuntu 22.04 with snap and bitcoin core 26.

When I run in terminal:

Code:
bitcoin-core.qt --help

there is no option like
Code:
-upgradewallet

Is there a way to get my old wallet to a HD-Wallet?
I found really nothing on google.

Thanks

Hello,

I just sent ETHs from Bitfinex to xBTCe.
Bitfinex shows the transaction as completed, but nothing arrives at xBTCe.

Here is the tx

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x13383d1cf685e0c970db42107ffd82e5eeae2bb82f4d1d11178b15f9adf18de0

Already over 500 confirmations.

Do you have any idea or have you had already this issue?

Thx

by

Hello,

A year ago I stared using the ASRock H81 PRO BTC REV 1 with 6 cards.
Now I changed to the ASRock H81 PRO BTC REV 2 board and I only get 5 cards wokring.

My Setup:

Linux 16.04
Claymore ETH Miner
2 X 1200 Watt Powersupply
Cards: R9 390 RX 480
Latest AMD Pro driver

The Miner strats with the six cards and after some second the last installed cards crashes. Miner shows "GPU 1 hangs in OpenCL call, exit"

GPU0 t=79C fan=88%, GPU1 t=63C fan=67%, GPU2 t=74C fan=72%, GPU3 t=73C fan=68%, GPU4 t=72C fan=61%, GPU5 t=69C fan=50%

The Cards are all OK, I have checked them one by one.

Also tested powered riser, no effect.

I have the same effect on two rigs, both the REV 2 board.

Do you have any idea?

thx
