well gl all this block has killed me getting hot in AZ just sold all my miners may rent some hash if we ever complete this block but most likely just chalking up as loss  Cry Cry 450.00 in electricity and 5 btc in rentals no return sell miners for 1600.00 and call it a wash

Sorry to hear that. It has been a tough one.
Same here, sorry to hear that.  I'm mining a lot of Namecoin, when it hits $250, all will be good. Wink

My rentals are running out and my btc also.  Block you are needed badly.

..and it looks like we are less than three hours away from a just under 5% increase in difficulty, and an expected return of 0.0108BTC per Th/Day.  Angry

pushing 100 th/s next 4-5 hours anyone else wanna help lol Kiss Kiss
I've been trying for 10 days, but it's been a sellers market on both nicehash and westhash since the last difficulty adjustment (mmr too, and betrarigs is a mess).  If the expected return is 0.01131 per TH/Day, it only makes sense - for me - to buy at ≥ 5% below that.  ..and it looks like it will get 'worse' on Monday, based on current network hash rate.

But I hope you solve one, and it's loaded with transaction fees. Smiley

we havent stolen anything. We dont have the ability to steal anything sorry to say. We can provide full logs upon request for any rig and its associated rentals.

the reason why your rig is connected but showing as offline is because the site cronjob's are still updating from the move. When its done it will show as online and rented if it is. For now it isnt hashing on anything but it is connected

Ahmed
No, my rig was offline because I took it offline on January 28th via 'Do not allow renting of this rig' - and today, in the 'Down for Maintenance' state it was alive and hashing nothing but rejects for 5-6 hours.  Rig #9239, check you logs.  It wasn't rented, it wasn't available to rent.

Betarigs was my highest priority pool. You gave me the ability to take my rig offline and failover to my primary pool when I wanted.  Or go online and make my rig available for renting while I mined at my primary pool until you found me a renter - at which time you'd go alive.

Here, my rig was offline and not available for rent - YET betarigs went alive, causing my miners to switch from my primary pool to betarigs. ..to an unrented rig, just rejects. Stolen maybe a strong word, but your error caused my miners to mine to an effectively dead pool.  [Edit: for between 5-6 hours]

Transition pains is one thing, but what the hell?!

I set my rig to go offline on January 28th, and it has been offline since.  Until sometime earlier today, it became ONLINE - as in hashing away to nothing but rejects, but it still shows OFFLINE and not available to rent on betarigs.  Sorry guys, you've stolen my hashing power and thrown it away - this is costly and unacceptable.

From the westhash.com home page:

They are paying 0.0116 at this moment. (Edit: for SHA-256)

For grins I did the same ping test. My ping times to westhash.com are around 3.6 ms!

I'm thinking that their server must be in the same data center that we use ;-)

Yeah, like you're connected with an ethernet cable. Wink

I get a little better numbers from my office - on westhash, not f2:

PING westhash.com (141.101.127.76): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=0 ttl=56 time=6.906 ms
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=1 ttl=56 time=5.956 ms
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=2 ttl=56 time=6.868 ms
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=3 ttl=56 time=6.564 ms

trying to mine on westhash I put p=0.0122 and my miner is not mining put if I just put x as password it mines how to I set the p value ?

It is behaving correctly, westhash is paying 0.0115 at the moment.  So you're not mining there since 0.0115<0.0122.

Still I make more than that on f2pool.com why would I want to use westhash Huh?
If you are certain that you can outperform variance and expected return, then that's an argument for buying from Westhash.

As to speed and locale, if I ping each from the US west coast, the results are:

PING westhash.com (141.101.127.76): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=0 ttl=56 time=13.977 ms

64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=3 ttl=56 time=14.928 ms
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=4 ttl=56 time=15.658 ms
64 bytes from 141.101.127.76: icmp_seq=5 ttl=56 time=13.533 ms
^C

PING f2pool.com (112.124.23.109): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 112.124.23.109: icmp_seq=0 ttl=49 time=291.457 ms
64 bytes from 112.124.23.109: icmp_seq=1 ttl=49 time=295.321 ms

Try Nicehash but currently the profit is low. ...

..now with the difficulty increase two blocks ago, the profit is "high" - paying ~6% above the expected return.

Average statistics for past 24 hours:
Quote
Paying to Miners    : 0.0120 BTC/TH/Day
Hashing speed : 1728.9897 TH/s
Bitcoin mining profit : 0.0122 BTC/TH/Day
NiceHash mining profit above Bitcoin mining : -1.5064 %

   -MZ

Except "Bitcoin mining profit:"  of 0.0122 BTC/TH/Day is now 0.0113, as of 8 blocks ago.  Your source of calculation, including Nicehash just hasn't updated yet.  Not trying to argue here..

i have no idea how to mine with tor do i have to have tor installed on my pc to point miners there?
I don't think you need the Tor browser installed.  If you have command line access to cgminer, I think you just use the 'usewithtor' command and the mmpool Tor address.

pool is down Cry Cry Cry Cry
The site is available via Tor @ phkttm64gbquasaq.onion

I don't know if mining on Tor is up.  I'm not sure I can configure my miners to usewithtor via the GUI interface, and will wait a bit longer before giving the command line a go.

If someone else wants to try, from the FAQ:
cgminer using TOR
    Stratum at difficulty 32: usewithtor ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://phkttm64gbquasaq.onion:3333 -u myusername -p d=32

Whoops, wasn't asking for advice on the power settings. BTW if you select any of the "Basic" settings, it auto puts those super high wattage figures in. Anyways, I'm happy with my current power to hashrate figures so not going to muck with those.

My pictures were intended to point out that I had the extranonce setting on 2 and was still seeing cgminer4.7.0 in contrast to what the previous poster mentioned. Trying to get that issue resolved.
As you have, plus adding #xnsub to the end of the URL and a restart worked for me on all miners.  i.e.
Code:
stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub

Thanks, this allows the green checkmark on Nicehash, but breaks the secondary pool as Nicehash, even when pricing is below p=value, stays Alive and never fails over to the secondary pool.
Also when using p=value in this way, once the price is no longer met, the miner simply stops sending any shares, and does not fail over to the secondary.
Firmware 2.6.9, tested on multiple SP20s and also affects S5 the same way.
Are you using anything in addition to p=value in the password field?  Does your rollover pool show Alive, even while mining on Nicehash?

My settings are similar to philipma's, and work exactly as expected on multiple miners.  I'm on fw v2.6.9 - I don't know where *it* went to, or why it was pulled (edit: current fw shows v2.6.1)

(another edit) only use the #xnsub on Nicehash and Westhash, not on your fallover pool(s).

Any idea on what is up with the 8% down on SHA mining. Thanks
6% is from a drop in difficulty that has not recovered yet.  It's currently a buyers market.
