Re: Listing VS IEO
by

Both are necessary and okay to do. There's no advantage too much over the other except with the marketing side, IMO. IEO can gather more people to have the "fundraising" part and is already going to be listed to the certain exchange they are holding at, that's a sure thing. For listing a token to exchange, it requires a lot of work to be recognized and accepted.

Are you planning to list your own? Or do you have a token OP?

Yes we are considering getting our token listed VS going for an IEO.

Thank you all for the feedback. Another question, is it normal getting listed in one exchange and then doing an IEO in another one?

What do you think are the advantages of doing an IEO vs simply listing a token in a exchange?

We have a proposal to list our token in Catex.io and would like to know your opinion about this exchange. Any good or bad experiences? The info we got so far about it was fine and interaction with their team also.

Listing on Finexbox

Simracer Coin - https://simracercoin.org - was invited to be listed in Finexbox. I was doing a background research on this exchange, that I didn't heard about before, and got some red flags:

https://www.cryptowisser.com/exchange/finexbox/
https://www.cointelligence.com/exchanges_list/finexbox/

Does anyone have any info on the situation mentioned in this sites?

Thanks in advance!

Fox Sports 1 earned a 0.53 rating and 903,000 viewers for last Sunday's inaugural NASCAR eSports event. That is huge for sim racing!

NASCAR going virtual for a while until real racing can resume. It's not for a good reason but will make sim racing grow even faster.

Thank you for your words CaV032! Our objective for the first quarter was to initiate the process and find someone to focus on that part. That happened this week, Hugo joined our team and he has a lot of connections both in iRacing and Rfactor communities, you can read about it in the team section of our website. We have already one team and league confirmed but the league and team partnerships is something that we we'll continue doing. As you can read in our whitepaper 30% of the tokens are allocated for the community and are to be released over a 5-year period.

someone who knows this particular eSport will make your life easier in tapping your potential partners for this project. smart move to get one who is really into this iRacing category. he will help a lot in reaching out those people that you will need to make your platform a success. with more leagues and partnerships on board, these will make your project stronger in crypto. and maybe later on, your simracer coin will be popular to this eSport. good luck!

also, i think you need to run marketing campaigns here to boost your presence in the forum and other social media channels.

Thank you for the input! I also know very well this particular eSport, I've been competing online since 2003, currently active mainly in iRacing and also Asseto Corsa (but not so often). We intend to leverage this presence in the sim racing community to make this project stronger each day.

It's funny that the author does not agree with the title of the article and with the things that are discussed in it, because he himself admits that he does not consider Ethereum to be like fiat funds.
However, for some reason, he decided to name the topic that way. Apparently to attract as many people as possible to read this article.

Not true, I got mixed feelings about it and would like to read more opinions, the title of the topic is the title of the article because it's the one I would like to discuss. You're good with conspiracy theories I guess.

FAQs:

Where's the token contract?

You can see it here in this Etherscan link:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x16587cf43f044aba0165ffa00acf412631194e4b

What are the setup files you mention?

This are files with mechanical adjustments for the cars (for example tire pressures, spring settings). As the games/simulators get more and more realistic these files, in many cases, can be the difference between having a winning car or being last. There are some websites where you can buy these, like Virtual Racing School - https://virtualracingschool.com/ - but these are centralized, we want to make a decentralized marketplace where all racers can buy and sell setups and other assets.

Example of a setup file in iRacing:

obrigado Lucasgabd!

Re: What if Bitcoin Gets Centralized Through Massive Mergers
by
mike_spr
on 04/03/2020, 16:35:06 UTC
Bitcoin can't just be bought up like Steemit did, it's a completely decentralized protocol.

The only thing that could happen is a massive corporation or government sinks a load of money into Bitcoin mining equipment to perform a majority attack.

That said, even if somebody tries to attack the network for a takeover, a chain split will just isolate those miners anyway. In short, Bitcoin is too big to become centralized now.

Exactly, Steemit is a blockchain-based blogging and social media website, that's a completely different concept compared to Bitcoin.
