Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't?

A Ponzi scheme is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors. The scheme leads victims to believe that profits are coming from legitimate business activity (e.g. product sales and/or successful investments), and they remain unaware that other investors are the source of funds.
from wikipedia.org
Bitcoin wasn't created to generate profit. It isn't a tool to generate money, Bitcoin is deflationary medium of exchange.

EOS is 100% good investment. It almost doubled its price in a month. Buying it via Ownr this February was an excellent idea.

I can't agree more. It took me more than 25 years to understand that being rich isn't about spending a lot of money. Luckily, I changed my mind.

#1. security.  When you make a bitcoin payment; that one payment address then forever connects you to your wallet thus allows the receiving person to see all your previous receives/sends, and, all your future receives/sends.  Any payment you received, or spent, then crushes your anonymity.  You are forever outed; fully exposed.  Really, it's no different than everyone in the world watching your bank account; seeing all the payments coming in and going out.  Bottom line is you can never send or receive a payment to anyone in the real world.  Your bitcoins/activity will forever be linked to you.  Chainalysis perfectly lays out the problem.
This problem is already solved. Some wallets let you generate multiple Bitcoin addresses. And one can use mixers to enhance your privacy.

I hold some Tether on Ownr to use it as a crypto fiat gate. I know USDT is only 74% backed, but I don't think it's a scam and an average hodler has something to worry about.

Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future?
by

It's a pointless question. Like how much money do you need to live a good life? It depends on your needs. And our needs are never fulfilled as we know, so one can't have too many Bitcoins.

As I read on your site, a prepaid card is available for customers all around the world. So is the list of those who can apply for the card similar to Ownr's list of supported countries?

One of my greatest fear is that I won't be able to buy it anonymously in few years. The crypto industry becomes more regulated from day to day.

High transaction fee is the biggest disadvantage of Bitcoin, but it isn't the only one. What's about high volatility? It makes Bitcoin a worthy investment and not so cool medium of exchange. And the network is so slow. Sometimes it takes up to a couple of days to get Bitcoin transactions approved.

I understand what you mean. I had been experiencing such a problem with EOS. When the crypto was in its infancy stage, there were EOS desktop apps only. This factor made EOS not so "handy" and easy in use. That's why when some mobile wallets (Atomic, Lumi, OWNR) added support, the crypto became more demanded.

Re: Why Satoshi created Bitcoin
by

Bitcoin white paper was realized soon after the 2008 financial collapse. I don't think that Satoshi had an aim to replace fiat. Creating Bitcoin was more like an attempt to show that there is an alternative to fiat.

Why do people avoid using closed source wallets?
by
mikeauerbach
on 29/10/2020, 15:12:35 UTC
I've noticed that experienced crypto enthusiasts recommend not to use closed source wallets like Coinomi and Ownr. Open source ones are supposed to be more trustworthy. Why? Only a small number of hodlers can read the code in fact.
