The new DEX looks astonishing! Looking forward to using it. Will there also be placeholder assets involved like on Openledger DEX (OPEN.BTC) or will all assets be real assets?

All Non-WAVES assets are placeholder assets (wBTC, wETH, etc.).

can someone share the screenshoots of the new dex? I mean those one who particapates in closed beta

 Shocked Shocked

so this will be available also as chrome app ??

i like this very much , simple and clear layout yet it calling you Smiley cant wait till it will be released ....

btw is this the reason why its mooning now ??

Yes, also as Chrome app. The app is only a very thin layer which just opens the webpages. I wouldn't say "mooning" Smiley, but yes, i think this is one of the reasons why price is going up.

Why is the price not rocketering Huh

i mean with every (positive) post or news about the waves price is same or lower Huh

how come ??

It was 0.16 cents two months ago. Now it's 5 dollars. x30 rise just in two months. Crazy isn't it? Don't worry it will be 50 - 100$ next year.

Two months ago it was about $4.

IMO the main reason is currently, that BTC is rising again and most alts are down.

Awesome news on Waves!  The stress test went very well, you can check the result in the blogpost!

https://blog.wavesplatform.com/waves-ng-stress-test-results-in-44090f59bb15

"The nodes processed a total of 4.6 million transactions, giving an average throughput of 2,000 txs/minute. Peak bandwidth was 17,000 txs/minute. When it comes to running the software on mainnet, we expect nodes to be able to process up to 6,000 txs/minute, or 100 per second."

This is great. So waves is going to be the coin with the most txs/minute? Is there any other coin out there with similar stats?

Bitcore (BTX) can process 42k txs per minute (60.8 mio per 24hr) . It is growing exponentially. Waves NG's speed was impressive however. These speeds are crypto approriate Cheesy

Are these real signed onchain txs? I really doubt. IMO such an amount of signed onchain txs is not possible due to restrictions in computing power and network limitations.

There is also an FAQ over here, which actually states multiple airdrops of 100 BCH each will take place:

http://support.wavesplatform.com/forums/1-general/topics/9821-bch-airdrop-faq-9-nov-2017/

Thanks, i still think they should have withdraw sashas statement earlier and made if more official though.
I don't want to defend them for things I don't know, and I don't know what exactly was happening. But it might be possible that they wanted to drop the entire amount at once first, but then found out that it would cause legal problems which forced them to change their plans very promptly.

But yeah, I wish that projects would be more anticipating of these problems at the very least.

Devs are great, but communication skills of the waves team could be improved.

watch the waves price now Smiley

Too late to jump in, should've bought more when it was $3.30. I missed the chance. Sad

Just remember to buy again when it hits 3.3, that time will surely come. I bought a bunch at 2.9 during last dump, and now sold everything at 5. Will reinvest again when it goes below 3.5. The thing to remember, as long as the project and philosophy of the project havent changed then just keep welcoming those dumps.

Let's see if and when it will go again below 3.5 Smiley.

why do you need blockchain for this project?

question not understood

Just look at the last posts of this guy. He is always asking the same stupid questions.

Dear Waves community!

Bitcointalk seems to have an influx of "account farmers", resulting in newbie accounts asking stupid questions that can be found in the OP or that are completely irrelevant to this coin.

They just post 1 question and don't return to the topic.

If you think you see one, check the users' post history and report the post.
Don't quote them, don't reply, just report and "mprep" will take care!

For the discussion about these "account farmers", join us in meta:

75,000 transactions for waves on the last 24 hours, pretty good; as indicated by wavesgo.com

what is the unit of the 395 fees earned in last day? bitcoin, waves ?

I don't know exactly which 395 fees you mean, but for sure they are not BTC Smiley.

Hello, I just created waves token. What to do with it? If I send it to someone would the fee will be in waves or in my created tokens?

If you send it, you have to pay the transfer fee in WAVES.

Thanks.  Smiley

If waves price increases would my tokens price increase with it?

No. The price of your token only increases, if the demand increases. The price is determined by supply and demand.

best way to buy waves?

Your own Waves-wallet of course. Just deposit your Bitcoins there and you are good to go.

Ps. If you are fast you may have time to grab some supercheap Waves Community Tokens ass well, and receive some free Bitcoin Cash on the first round tomorrow (and many rounds later).    Wink
You need at least 0.001 Waves if you want to buy Waves in the Waves wallet with Bitcoin to pay the fees. A faucet can fix that, but it's an unpleasant surprise if you are not aware of this.

This problem is fixed in the meantime.

How will be the money, collected during the ICO be spent?
There was no ico , only the membership sale

And during membership sale SALT tokens were sold, so it was an ICO.

Where to buy tokens?

You can buy WAVES for example at bittrex.com, shapeshift.io and of course WAVES DEX.

Does anybody know if there are any ongoing efforts to create a new official announcement thread or to reopen the closed one?

The linked topic in the Coinmarketcap listing is still closed. This will scare new potential investors imho.

The waves team did already try to reopen the thread, but it seems to be without success. The waves team will open a new official bitcoin thread when the new branding materials are available. Probably mid of November.

I have feeling that the entire WAVES Platform is a total scam that steals people's money. It's only my opinion, and you all can prove me wrong.

No time to convince you,
I just don't see how they stole people's money atm.

Or did you just lost money by trading on Waves for your new account ?  Grin

I'm sure, this guy is just a sad troll who can't afford his new legendary account Grin.

Hello,
I cancelled waves leasing, sold 30 waves on DEX and tried to send BTC to the Cryptopia exchange. It says "wrong address". I doubt that cryptopia gave me the wrong address.
Is it because I did not wait 1000 blocks (if I remember right) for leasing to be fully cancelled (or smth like that)? But I managed to sell waves on DEX.
Can somebody explain that? Thank you!

EDIT: Solved. I just used "Withdraw" instead of "Send". But what the purpose of "Send"?
You can "Send" coins to other Waves wallets.
without paying the fee??
I think you might not have to pay the Bitcoin transaction fee, but you'll still pay the 0.001 Waves fee. That's a very interesting question actually that I don't know the definite answer to. This could potentially make Waves the cheapest and quickest way to move coins around.
wait a minute, is this what your saying :
send btc via waveswallet and you pay 0.001waves??

As soon as you use a gateway (which is the case if you send wBTC to a BTC address), you have to pay a gateway fee which is another 0.001 WAVES.

No, fee is 0.001.
