It seem people swap ETH to PND.
price up
https://www.yobit.net/en/trade/PND/ETH Grin
oh that's why PANDA is only 2 Sat on Jan it was 14 . Wink
I got few , but in loossssss.....

It's not worth investing to this coin at this time because there are many potential coins are still cheap to buy .
I think Maybe this is a fake pump for exiting . If some investors bought it then they should try to sell it as soon as possible .

The Pnd community is resillient and while the price is low now, it is not nearly as low as it was before it rose above 1 sat a year ago when it was trading thinly on the LTC only markets.  Consider that when bitcoin mooned to 19k last november in like 10 days time, the pnd price followed going 21x to 21 sat.  Similarly, btc is down like 70% from that high, and PND and most other alt coins also followed.  The point is, when BTC moons again (and believe me it will),  PND will moon, and most likely will moon at an even greater % because alt coins generally tend to overshoot in both directions.

Taking a longer term perspective, with a fresh roadmap and team behind the coin, there is a much greater likelihood of forming higher lows and higher highs based on the long term charts of this coin.  When people see other coins mooning and they fomo into those coins, people are going to start hunting for bargains like PND that have potential to easily 10x or better.  It's just a matter of patience, and with each rally more people are brought into the community that can help PND grow and mature for better purposes other than just price elevation.

We need everyone's patience and help, lets discuss ideas also from the community. Everyone's input is important and we want to do a good job not rush and make mistakes.
Please check and consider voting at http://cryptodepot.org/voting-booth/  it has a number of ideas we are working on.

Also right now is a good time to donate some low priced Pandacoin to help real Pandas.  Please see http://cryptodepot.org/pnd4pnd/

I just sent 5000 Pnd to this charity. Great cause.

With the roadmap nearing completion, please get your opinion heard for 2018! There is a long year ahead, full of opportunity. Help make Pandacoin great by casting your vote(s) at http://cryptodepot.org/voting-booth/

To this point,  the voting page requires tabbing through each one to see which is getting the most attention.  It would be great if these could be sorted and show the 'weight' if not the actual pnd bounty associated with each one to quickly see which projects are gaining the communities attention most.

What an exciting week it has been  Shocked Cheesy

Please know that the developers are hard at work, particularly working on issues that some new users have experienced in addition to the items that will be on the road map. The increase in price and large volume increase was not expected, to my knowledge. This coin is alive as ever but everything came very, very quickly. While this can pose a struggle, it also brought new life into the coin and showed the devs some things that may need to be worked on. Opportunity was created as a result to make the currency stronger in the future.

In addition, yes, there is a road map that will be released. I am not able to give an ETA at the moment. As it has always been, this is a coin that VALUES your feedback. You are what makes Pandacoin so special; your votes determine the direction the coin takes in the future. To have your voice heard, please visit http://cryptodepot.org/voting-booth/ . You can see the results of the votes on there, which will be the basis for the roadmap.

As far as volume and price: it is expected that Cryptopia will be adding BTC pairing for PND soon. Please know that the actions of exchanges are largely out of the hands of the team. That being said, if it makes sense to add exchanges and/or pairings, it will be looked in to. It is understood that some people may have bought PND at a price that is not currently favorable. I must offer a generic reminder to please research all moves you make in the market prior to making them. With that being out of the way, know that PND has never and does not plan in the future to be a hype coin, pump and dump, etc. Everything that is planned and under development is for long term health. Personally, I have not sold any of my holdings as I fully expect the price to continue to rise in the future. Everyone has their own financial situation and you must handle your situation to the best of your ability. If you can hold, I would hold. If you can buy, I would buy for the long term.

If you have any ideas for the improvement of the coin, it is strongly encouraged that you share those ideas. That is the point of this being a community coin. Make your voice heard, have a positive impact and enjoy the rewards as they come.

Thanks guys and gals  Cool

Very well said.  For any doubters, keep re-reading this.

C’mon we are slowly falling down.. all
Panda are getting killed ! Please save the Panda!

The market in total is mostly red, it's completely normal to have a period of consolidation after a vertical spike which happened to tons of coin projects these past few days / weeks.

If you are a long term investor, you have nothing to worry about.  PnD will form a new higher base than we were weeks ago, and assuming there is no global event or negative cloud, when the market turns green, PnD will likely follow in like kind.   Also, there are many who are looking for value in the micro-coin arena, and we are only just beginning to get noticed. There are a lot of good things to look forward to in 2018 for PnD hodlers.

Those that have some history with Pnd, know it has a lot of great things going for it, including great technical features as a base. The wallet alone far exceeds hundreds of other crypto projects.

Crypto has matured a lot over the past years, while many coin projects came and went, PnD has fought back again and again. This says something about it's fortitude, and it's community. We all know what can happen to coins thought to be 'jokes'..  Doge is sitting pretty at a $1.7bln market cap at the time of this writing, and they have had literally no development evidenced by the lack of commits in their repository. As I mentioned on telegram, the big difference is that in 2017, the world is beginning to realize crypto as a new asset class. There are the big name 'blue chips' out there are a few great un-discovered value propositions out there, of which Pnd is a potentially huge one.  Thousands in the community have yet to discover PnD. Those who are are here now, are here early. How long will it be before we see fully sanctioned crypto ETF's? a year or two? Maybe less... the blue chips will be first, but the value and growth coins will follow. I would have to speculate a coin like PnD will not stay at 6 or 8 or 10 sat for long if the trend continues with the notion of crypto as a real asset class.

Give the team some time.  A new roadmap is in the works, and the team's devs are committed to making PnD greater than ever, sustainably.   If there's one thing I would have done differently and learned over and over the past few years learning crypto, is I would have made out a LOT better, by simply hodling and not trading as much between coins.  There are some coins that are relatively undiscovered and have great value, I believe PnD is one of them, and the best is yet to come. Here's to a great 2018 for PnD and it's community.

PandaCoin up 22.35% today, slightly over 1 sat. Very nice.   I think there's only a short time before coins won't be able to be purchased below 1 sat, I"m excited by the activity on the slack and telegram channels for those who haven't joined yet.

Btw, how does one insert an image into a bitcointalk post? Do I have to host it somewhere?

I figured having a twitter account is a good way to interact with the community, which why I've set one up at https://twitter.com/amrealpanda.

What is the difference between the above twitter, and this

Jommy,

It would be great to share with the community what this project might be able to look forward to in 2018. The suggestions below:

http://cryptodepot.org/voting-booth/

Are great, but these need a bit of  horsepower from committed devs to make progress in any of these areas with any frequency in order to get new members excited about future potential.  I honestly feel PND could EASILY become as or more valuable as many coins that enjoy a position within the top 100 list on coinmarketcap, but pnd needs a big push initially to show there is fresh new commitment from a new team to bring enhancements and progress the technology, and or social presence.  I mean, why is DOGE, and a hundred other coins so valuable, and yet there are literally no developments with these?  PND's wallet alone is light years ahead of many of these already.

Do we need to offer some type of bounty to attract committed devs? I remember there was a guy a long time ago that was willing, for a sufficient amount of PND as an incentive. I think there are at least a few members that given the choice of slow, or stagnant development would be willing to donate a few PND if it can serve to align the commitment from a few good people to construct and deliver on a new roadmap.

What can the community do to help you, and or, to attract more committed devs to the team to build momentum? What can we do to incentivize new players to join the development team?

Thanks so much for all you've done already. I know PND has great potential for a fresh emergence, but it will take effort.  One or two people can only do so much.

Best.

Jommy99 - so this worked, I got Pandabank up and the application opened without error.  BUT. I am not seeing my pandacoins... (yikes!) I'm not sure why it's not picking up the wallet.dat file that I have in there. I made a few copies of this file, so I'm not worried that the wallet (pre-install) is missing.  The wallet.dat file shows 5.4 mb on my mac, so it shouldn't be empty.

Anyone have suggestions on how to get the pandabank to see my coins and previous transactions?

Thanks!!

Are you all synced up with our network?  This can take awhile for a new PandaBank install, you should see a green check mark on the bottom right when you are fully synced with our blockchain.  Is the address(s) you see the same as what you sent to ? As long as the blockchain shows your balance for that address you should be fine, you can check here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/

Not yet, and I'm guessing this takes a while.  It IS syncing though, so maybe I just need to be patient.  I used your link above, and see  my wallet address is in fact the one I'm seeing in the panda bank, it's just zeros for now, and no transaction history.  So,,,, just wait?   Should I quit the bank app, add one of those long 'addnodes' to the pandacoin.conf file and re-start?

Side question - I see on the block explorer, that It says I've received about twice as many coins as I have in the actual bank, not sure how is this possible?

Thanks Jommy, much appreciated.

If you would like to try our latest Stand alone PandaBank for mac we can use your help too.  We seem to still be having a problem in some cases and are trying to understand better exactly what is happening.   In order to help make it easier to try and test we have combined the prerequisite libraries into this latest package http://files.cryptodepot.org/pandacoin-standalone.pkg  Thank you in advance for your assistance and feedback.
[/quote]

So it seems this package is the same one I attempted to download from this link:
http://cryptodepot.org/downloads/

it's the same file size as the direct link above, and so it is giving the the same error upon installation.

It errors out so quickly, it's difficult to say at what stage, but I can see it's happening very shortly at 'Validating packages', then boom.  Errors out with a failure to install.

Is there a log file I can provide? If you tell me where to find it, I will submit this here.

Thanks so much for the help!

I have an error to report, I am trying to get the latest version of the pandabank wallet running, and it fails to install on my mac.

Jommy99 - I followed the download link for Mac you recently posted when helping jdhadwin on Dec 13th.

I backed up my wallet.dat file (I actually duplicated the entire folder in my /Library/Application Support folder), and deleted the pandacoin-qt file in the /Applications folder.

I then went to run the pandacoin-standalone-pkg file, and it got through the first few steps, where it asked for my pass and went to 'Installation' step, then it says:

Installation Failed
The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the manufacturer for assistance.

I then decided to make sure my OS was fully up to date, so I ran the installer and updated my OS to the latest High Sierra  10.13.2. (running on a Macbook Pro Retina circa 2013.

I tried the installer again, and got the same error.

Anyone have any  suggestions on what to do next?  Many thanks.

Am expecting lots and lots of dumping along the way though. Not just from normal folk  wh hold large bags from 4years ago but also from Amdoge and cronies who will be holding seriously large sacks.
There are many lost wallets and un-recoverable Pandacoins, we have always been an ideal cryptocurrency to learn with, and over the years mistakes are made.  Many exchanges have had trouble and disappeared with lots of Pandacoin, computers crash without proper backups etc so many large wallets from the old days will never be active again so it is hard to tell our true distribution or our circulating supply.

https://steemit.com/pandacoin/@dp1011/staking-pandacoin-pnd-for-nostalgia-maybe-profit

I agree, but you know what? Let them dump. When the price goes beyond what they sold it for, they will regret it BIG time, especially if we can truly bring a new community together to make this loved coin last. There is no reason why this coin can't be as successful if not more successful than DOGE.

Jommy or anyone,

I haven't logged into my pandabank in ages, but would like to fire it up again this week.  Can someone help me get started?

I can launch the bank (gosh, what an amazing wallet, I think the Panda wallet was ahead of it's time for a while anyway).  I don't see any activity that it is active or staking. The last stakes were back in 9/2016.

I see from the past few messages that there are these 'nodes' to add, but not sure where to add these on a mac?  Will my getting the panda wallet back up and running help the network to grow once again? I love this coin, it would be so great to see if we can bring it back to life again.

Thanks.

I would be willing to give 15 million PND to a GROUP of devs that are serious about re-ignighting this coin with a decent reboot roadmap.

Who's with me?  Who else would be willing to put up a bounty to pool up enough of a stake to get some serious business strategy and comittment behind a re-brand?  If DOGECOIN can go from 20 sats to nearly 200 at the time of this writing, I see no reason why PND shouldn't be the equivalent meme of Asia.

Projections anyone on the value of an MGO token as it begins trading in a few weeks?

I'm meditating on the following:

1.) what is the value of an MGO token vs. a GAMECREDITS token, given the similar market caps of roughly 100 million vs. 62 million supply?

2.) what is the *potential* value of MGO vs. other cryptocurrencies of similar market caps, in the growing market space purely from an investor perspective?

3.) MGO is possibly one of the first coins that can be equated to a stock, in that it's tapping a potential marketshare of roughly 80 billion.  Stocks values price in earnings potential, which is HUGE for MGO and the Gamecredits store & all the partnerships they have achieved, plus all the potential with the huge success of this ICO which is still raking in $.  How will investors and traders treat this value once MGO is out there in the open market?

4.) What is an overall reasonable market cap based on thoughts from the above in 6 months time?

11 days to go... Nobody interested in speculation based on the above?

my .02 - With an ICO that is looking to BEAT Eth, I am even more enthusiastic about the project & potential investment.  For all that say the expensive ICO means low returns to investors, I say rubbish.. look where ETH is trading, if this team manages the ICO proceeds successfully and can execute on it's promises, I think the coin can easily top $1 usd.
