Thanks pondi and crtpt.... it was nice having you around for help.it is fully synced and my quarkcoins is back !. guess i went on the wrong fork. I have tried mining as suggested but there is no sign that it is mining. any explanation ? i also noticed mining mode on the client under the file tab ... but it is not activated ... i tried to click on it but it aint working ? any help ? how can i mined faster please

Your wallet.dat file containing your balance and transaction history is located within your Quarkcoin folder. C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin
1. Copy the wallet.dat file directly from the Quarkcoin folder (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin) and save it safely on your pc where you can easily locate it, if needed.
2. Rename the above mentioned "Quarkcoin" folder to Quarkcoinoldbackup.
3. Download the latest build of quark wallet and save to hard drive. https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3
4. Install the latest build of Quark. Close down the wallet immediately after completion of installation if you left the run automatically after installation checked.
5. Open the newly created Quarkcoin folder, (not the Quarkcoinoldbackup) C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin and delete all the files within it. Do not overwrite existing files just to ensure no conflicts. leave the Quarkcoin folder open for the next step.
6. Copy and paste your wallet.dat file from your Quarkcoinoldbackup folder into your now empty Quarkcoin folder.

To Stake:
1. Open Quark wallet latest build v0.10.6.3
2. select help - debug window
3. select console tab
4. enter into console text field: walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000

(command) (your passphrase) (number of seconds for unlock)
5. press ctrl L to clear your console.
6. close debug window and watch your coins get minted if they are 30 days old or greater.

hello everyone.. i have a huge problem . I have not use my quark client for a long time so i opened it up and sent all the coins to my account in one of the exchanges but it looks like it has hanged since dec 24th. i have tried to update the client since then but still no progress ...

There are two transactions before the ones where 1840 was taken out (for 902 and 977 XEM added to your account). Those transactions took place around May time this year.
I'm assuming that was an exchange you brought from and added to your account? Those same XEM have been sent to that same exchange address:

If someone has access to your account then they probably sent the amount to the exchange to sell.

They would know the users details (assuming they have a verified account) KYC etc.

ok. thank s. i will read up and use the electum . so by exporting and sweeping , i will get back the 1 bitcoin already sent ?
Yes, you should do. If you sweep you only have to backup a string of words that you are given when you create a standard electrum wallet. They are called its seed words and are all you need to recover from a disaster. If you import your multibit private key into electrum you need to save a backup of it in case your wallet gets corrupted.
i have exported the private keys as described. downloaded electrum and tried to sweep but tit is not working. i also saw about 5 lines of private key and i choose the most recent dated one and inputed in electron wallet under wallet - private keys - sweep ... and it says no transaction. I a, lost . How do i just get back my 1 bitcoin pls ?

..I use multibit wallet version.5.16 and i sent 1 Bitcoin on Saturday to my localbitcoin wallet address and today is Monday and it has not been received
i assume you mean you are using multibit classic version 5.16. It's out of date and can send a type of transaction the network no longer accepts.
You can choose to upgrade to the latest version of multibit classic, but the maximum fee it can pay is often too low to get fast confirmations if the network's overloaded. The devs aren't likely to fix that problem, so you are better off switching to using the electrum wallet.

I would need some help with my bitcoin transaction. I use multibit wallet version.5.16 and i sent 1 Bitcoin on Saturday to my localbitcoin
wallet address and today is Monday and it has not been received . I am guessing it has to do with the fees but i dont know how to adjust the
