Their is an article on CoinDesk right now about the carbon footprint of bitcoin. Some of you guys and gals can post additional comments in the discussion about the benefits of NEM.

It is not easy to start a fork and a new genesis block with NXT code bases. We are going to use NXT codes but it has to be adapted to our new distribution scheme. So things take time and probably need a good cryptographer to make it happen. So we will move forward but patience is needed.
I don't know who you are or why you are talking about the NXT code base.
I was going to say something, because I was asking myself who the hell is that guy.
