Re: [850 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff

I have been running 5 antminer u1's for 2 or 3 weeks now and I have a USB fan to cool them. When I started using them I noticed based on the site for the pool I was getting about 7 to 8 Mhash/s. Now I'm getting just over 6. Is this due to difficulty going up or do I have a miner about to fail?

if you are only getting 7 or 8 MH there is something really wrong. you should getting GH

And if Gh, then yes - it would seem one (or all) are not up to par. I am not sure what software you are using for that, but if possible could you run them individually? If you could , and then could set each one up for a mining instance then you could compare them to each other.

Question - I am relatively new to this all, and I have been mining only with Slush's pool since the beginning of September. I started with a GPU miner at first, then I added 9 ASIC block errupters, and then about a month ago I added a 10g blade. My MHash/s rates are as follows:
GPU = 615 Mhash/s
9 Block Erruptors = 3,050 Mhash/sec
1 Blade = 10,331 Mhash/s

I notice at first I seem to get a decent payout, but it decreases over time. I recently switched to a Raspberry Pi unit to cut down on the power consumption (powered by one of the hubs) and I noticed I am now averaging around 0.00058202 as a Payout for each round, where as for a while I was at about 0.00100000. Is the difference the amount of people/devices mining the same pool or is something else going on? Should I expect it to drop down much more? Or is it just always going to get lower and I just need to keep adding?

Sorry if this is not the right place for this kind of questions

Payout reduces about 50% per month   http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

Thank you for the quick reply and link!

.01 payout was working forever up in-till yesterday. There was no notice of the change.
Nothing at all mentioned on the quick update section.
Pretty shady if you ask me. I already moved all my miners.

Ditto,
just plain wrong.  I moved mine too.

So... I have only used Slush - do you mind me asking where you moved to or who you might recommend?

The minimum payout threshold used to be 0.01 BTC, however the FAQ now says 0.05 BTC.  This is why people including me thought that automatic payouts are not happening.
This is higher threshold unfair to most of us, who are small miners and would take a week or more to get to this threshold.  Slush, please go back to the original minimum threshold of 0.01.

Kabopar

I agree - and did not notice the change Sad
It will take me almost a week before I get a payout.

This is bad. It's a brand new Lenovo yoga and I can't even run my recovery tools on it. It's also a ssd drive. I'm screwed. I'll get a black eye when wife finds out.

The HD in the Yoga is not removable, which sucks. Did you delete all of the partitions when you did the install? If not there are apps that may help.

I have an Anker 9 port USB 3 hub that works great for 8 miners. I bought a notebook cooler fan from Big Lots ($5) that works well to cool. The first hub I got had a bad port, but they shipped me out a replacement right away that worked completely.

Are you signed up with a mining pool? I would recommend Slush's if you have not.
After you sign up with Slush you should go to the FAQ and it will give you what you need to connect. (It should be something like:
BFGMiner -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u (your username) -p (password) --disable-gpu (to disable your GPU if wanted) -G -S erupter:all )

keep in mind that 1 ASICMiner will take you over a year to earn 1 btc.
