@tytanick or any admin

Need some advice.
Is there a specific order of pci slots to follow on Asrock h110 pro. Does the standard(full size)  onboard pci slot have to be utilized? Does installing on random slots cause issues?

With reference to another rig that normally runs very well with one exception.
I have closely monitored this rig on ssh console  for strange behavior but cannot find anything wrong.
Literally once a day, the rig goes offline in the simplemining dashboard monitor.
The problem is that the rig is still physically  running and the energy meter shows +-700wats off usage during this state. I cannot ssh when this happens. Is it some kind  of halt state?
The rig still is active on my network and I usually set static ip address on miners so it isn't a dhcp issue.

Rig spec :
Max power draw when functioning normally is +-2100w
9x 1080ti rig
Celeron cpu
4gb ram
Standard usb 32gb

Hi

I have been using bminer on 2x 12 1070ti rigs with no issue.
I have setup another rig with 9x 1080tis. The miner constantly restarts every 30mins or so. The last line in the console is "killed".
Previously when I had a riser fail while running bminer,  it stated exactly which gpu/riser it could not get temperature from.

The restarts do not happen with other softwares.

I am using simple mining and mining on nicehash.

Can anybody assist with the above

Can't assist you on how to solve the problem, but can report I am having the same problem or similar problem to yours also on a nine card rig. I am also using smos.

Mine is a 9x 1070ti rig. It took me a while to realise I had a problem. I was not paying attention to the console.

Whats happening with mine is that the rig loads up as normal on smos with the slow start from Bminer, then when all GPUs are running at full speed, GPU 8 starts dropping off slowly, the sol rate eventually drops down to zero, the rig keeps running for a while and but then I start getting the restarts about every 30 minutes or so. When I revert back to Bminer v5.5.0 the problem goes away, the rig runs normally. I tried dialing back the overclock on GPU 8 to see if this was the problem but that didn't work either. So for now just working v5.5.0. on this rig.

Funny thing is I have another 9 card rig with identical setup to the first, same mobo same power supply etc. Except this is a mixed card rig, 6x 1070 and 3x 1070t1 but this rig runs normally on Bminer v6.0.0.

I have a third 6x 1070ti card rig and this runs problem free as well with v6.0.0.

Just go back to v5.5.0 is my fix for the moment anyhow.

Thanks for feedback. Are you mining nicehash by any chance?
The restarts have somehow reduced to 1 per day.

I have now noticed that my rig shows offline on the pool as well as on simplemining monitor console but strangely the system is still drawing +750watts off power during this state, as per my energy meter. Full draw on this rig is - +2150watts. This would mean that my system is in some kind on halt state? Is some watchdog initiating?

@minebomb @Roby1
Thank you for the feedback. How many memory the rig has? This information will help me diagnose the problem and fix it in the next release.

@realbminer
Thanks for response.
I am using 4gb Ram and a celeron cpu on simplemining.

Thanks await your feedback

 9x1080ti rig.
Using Bminer 0550

Rig   shows OFF at least once everyday. Strangely the rig is still physically on and   my energy meter shows a power draw of +-750wats. This system normally uses +-2150 at full draw.
When this happens I am unable to Ssh into my console.
Any ideas?

hi DSTM

please help me.

with reference to two rigs of mine that do over 3000 sols each.

almost every morning when i wake up i notice no hashrate on pool monitor for these two rigs.  i then check miner and see  -
connection closed by server   r 0
reconnecting

what do i do ?
i have done much troubleshooting with no luck.

regards

note:  i have other rigs under 3000sols on the same network that dont do this

Hi

Does the --target-temp feature work in simplemining?
It seems smos is overriding that miner option.

I receive 'ssl want write' error when using an ssl connection. It happens on two separate pools. It happens intermittently.

How can I set miner to reload when internet connection fails? sometimes if internet connectivity is unstable then the miner does not recover and begin working properly again. It kind of times out.

Please advise.

with reference to 12 GPU rigs:

i have noticed using DSTM on my 12 gpu rigs that GPU number 7 and 11 are on noticeably wamer than the others by 5-10degrees.

 I FIND THIS REALLY STRANGE.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

This is nothing unusual, the temperature might differ even if you're using the same vendor/model. You could also check the GPU-utilization like it's reported by 'nvidia-smi' to make sure there are not software issues.

Thank you.
One more problem, miner reduces hash rates until almost zero but does not automatically reload or adjust accordingly as pool switches coin.  Not sure how to explain it. What can I do to resolve this. It only happens with DSTM and if I'm asleep it remains low for hours until I reload  manually.
Also some gpus drop to a far lower intensity than others but do not recover.
Happens on nicehash and miningpoolhub so I'm convinced it's the miner.
I'm fine with paying dev fees as long as I have good product support..

HELP SOMEONE.

SSL WRITE TIMEOUT.

Miner randomly stops with error.

Miner hashrate drops really low and sometimes freezes up completely.

Is DSTM supposed to reload miner automatically in a bad state?

I HOPE I CAN GET SOME SUPPORT MY LAST QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN IGNORED! @DSTM

Is it possible to mine multiple pools with certain GPU's?

Lets say mine ZCL on GPU 0-3 and mine Zcash on GPU 3-6

yes. you can use the --dev to specify which devices to use.
so just run zm twice with different pool configuration. in the first use parameter "--dev 0 1 2" in the second "--dev 3 4 5".
for more details run "zm --help".

Thanks if figured that out, only thing that bothers me but you cannot solve that, is that ethmonitor uses a static port for monitoring (2222) and you cannot change it: (

Hi. How would i write the config line for mining two different pools with selected gpus in Simplemining/Ubuntu?

Is it normal for hash rate to drop by half on DSTM miner console, NOT on pool hash rate. I am mining equihash on nicehash or miningpoolhub.

I cant understand why it does this. The gpus are not overheating or crashing. It is just a massive reduction in hash rate that's fixed by reboot of console.

It changes the difficulty rate and then drops.

I receive the follow error:
Cannot Get Temperature : error 15.
GPU has fallen off the bus.

This can happen with weak PSU. Or weak wires. And yes, still the risers...

i have a corsair 1000watt with only 2 gpus plugged in.  everything else is disconnected
as mentioned in the post, i have tried multiple risers, and 2 more brand new corsair 850s.  also 1060s work fine on same risers

Hi

i am relatively new to HIVE OS.
i am having difficulty with a new rig of 12 x 1070tis.

With one gpu plugged directly onto the motherboard, it mines just fine.
as soon as i plug in the second gpu, the miner begins to restart continuously.

I am sure that it is not a riser problem.  when i plug a 1060 6gb onto the same riser as the second gpu, it then mines fines. even if i add multiple 1060s to the one 1070ti(plugged on motherboard) it is fine.

I receive the follow error:
Cannot Get Temperature : error 15.
GPU has fallen off the bus.

Basically anything more than one 1070ti is a problem.

On the console box the driver for the 1060gb shows as - GTX Geforce 1060
whereas the 1070ti shows as  -  Graphics Driver 8113

i have multiple 12x1060 6gb rigs and have not experienced this issue

PLEASE HELP! I HAVE SPENT 2 DAYS NON STOP TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS.
