Bitcoin seems more and more dead  Shocked

Maybe it's time for another and more matured crypto currency to enter the stage.

I have no idea which one, but it appears that the Bitcoin is going to experience strong headwind in the future.

Where is the money then?

Who owns them?

The logic behind buy and sell, is that before a price can increase/ decrease there need to be some money / btc in the system. If the ppl have money at their accounts they are exchanging those to Bitcoins and vice versa.

If no money can enter or leave the system, then it makes absolutely no sense that the price is dropping, except that the clever ones must be very happy to receive cheap Bitcoins. Theoretically the price could increase 10-fold, due to the fact that the system is isolated.

Common sense must denote that it is extremely stupid to exchange anything at an exchange that is heading for bankruptcy.

Why do most people think that the money is coming from MtGox, when they actually should/ are coming from the customers that use MtGox.

The only way I can see that MtGox is not able to payout fiat, is that the fiat is lost/ stolen from the accounts (and has been for a very long time) and that the fiat-amount one could see in their account balance was fake. (i.e. the money behind it was gone/ deported to the MtGox-scammers)

Not sure I understand this fully.

Is it impossible to withdraw Bitcoins from MtGox to another exchange?

It seems weird that the price is dumping.

The basic gist is that most investors believe Gox is going to go bankrupt and it's better to have a claim against them in fiat than in btc -- so people are dumping all they can, and at this point, at whatever price they can get.

I see...

But the reasoning behind this must be that there actually exists fiat at MtGox, either already in ppl accounts or somehow deposited.

They are as many buyers as sellers, so it seems a bit strange that one part wants to have fiat, while another want Bitcoins, if investors are going to claim against them?

I don't think that regulation of some sort necessarily is bad, but unfortunately it points in that direction  Undecided

Minor regulation could be seen as a white listing of Bitcoin and thereby make it easier to act legally within the boundaries.

Something I don't like about USA (living in Denmark) is that it seems that people can get arrested with an alleged law (non-written) and then be accused of violating another weird law.
It seems that the legal certainty in USA has disappeared more and more over the last decade.

Wonder what the capital requirements could be that are mentioned in that article at Reuters?

Glad to see that illegal money operations are seized and the guys behind are being prosecuted. If Bitcoin should have a chance growing up, we need to stop those youngsters that think they can get away with transactions in Bitcoin that are not allowed in fiat-money.

I received mine today as well 278000 Smiley

I withdrew them all to my local wallet (they are received and secured now) I then tried for fun depositing 10 doges again, but they aren't redeemed yet - so I guess Coins-E still has some problems with synchronization.

I'm very pleased and hope that Coins-E just is having troubles with the tech stuff and nothing else.

He is stating that he get around 488, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=361041.0

3x488 consume 450W => 0.3074 w/kh/s. Diff around 20%, that is amazing imho.

Hi Ferris

So a single card pulls about 120 watt given that the MB swallows around 100W (Asrock 970 + Sempron 245).

If you could push the card higher than 400 kh/s it would actually outperform the R9 280X for 710-720kh/s.

As real world experience mentions that the 2GB card can reach 450kh/s, I would believe without any theoretical mumbling that the 4GB at least could perform the same and then some.

My mining rig consumes 800W (undervolted) with 3xR9 280X incl. MB consumption at 100W. That is around 0.38 W/KH/S for 700kh/s/card

If you have 3 cards you would consume 450W => 450/0.38 = 1184 / 3 = 394kh/s anything higher is pure win Smiley

Nice indeed Smiley

On January 13, I deposited 145k DOGE but it did not appear on Coins-e.
I sent a ticket to support but I still don't have an answer. What can I do please ?

That was stupid... Both I and others have mentioned and documented Coins E scam and fraud many times.

Chances are unfortunately your coins are lost, together with both mine and others too.

I hope however that Coins-E turns out to fix their issues and keep running their website as a legit business.

Hi Ferris

I've been looking at those card for a couple of days, do you know how many watt they consume from the wall?

I would assume they should at least be hashing with 700 kh/s and watt consumption at 200watt for each card.

A normal 7950 card:
Memory Clock   5000 MHz
Memory Size   3072 MB
Memory Bus   384 bit

Yours:
Memory Size 4096 MB Size
Memory Bus 256 -bit GDDR5
Memory Clock 5600 MHz Effective

Faster memory clock, but not being able to transfer at the same speed - but 1 gb more when it does..  Shocked

I have Gigabyte underclocked R9 280X they consume around 230-235 watt each card and produce 705-710 kh/s

Something is wrong at Coins-E, I used to be a happy user, but the last couple of weeks has been a nightmare. Extreme slow deposits, missing transactions etc.

This is my current deposit at Coins-E: http://dogechain.info/address/DJk6qW1eHnKvVuPQ3hvKatn33Pe7d2HbNM . Look at the balance, they haven't redeemed any of the coins that I've sent.

Even if I manually try to track my transaction id, I just get a message box informing me that I should contact Coins-E support.

I understand that unforeseen things can happen if the fork is changed, but why the hell was it changed without any notice Angry - and why isn't it fixed yet?

Unfortunately I can't rollback the transactions, so my coins are lost if Coins-E doesn't wake up.

NB: As my loss to Coins-E isn't enough I lost around 102.000 in a doge pool caused by that fork.

This whole fork mess has costed my around 300.000 coins, which I don't think is particular funny, I still have my electrical bill to pay.

I will occasionally bump this thread, until Coins-E get their stuff and obligations cleared up. I hope I thereby can warn other people for the same frustration as I have.

It could be interesting if other fellow miners could post their findings related to Coins-E and Doges, let us keep this thread clean and hold it until Coins-E has fulfilled their promises for a serious exchange service.

i dont understand all this doubt people have, just because butterfly labs had problems doesnt mean this is the archetype for every machine ever launched in this crypto industry. this company is registerd in the UK and has an office building, their partner is a reliable company in India....

Have you checked their address? I have myself, another one here at Bitcointalk did take some pictures...
