Hi everyone, after some careful consideration and speaking with the team, i have decided to step down from the community manager position, as of today. While i will still be involved and helping out with some things I'm stepping down due to some disagreements from within the community, I would like to stress the importance of this being my decision for the greater good of keeping the community together, I still believe Zano has a very bright future and believe it will succeed. For the time being I will remain a admin/moderator here and continue to help out with tech support and other community related tasks. It has been a great couple years working here with you all and these world class devs, here's to the future.

We are very excited to have announced three major updates on the progress we have made over the last several months. We have gone into detail here in the medium article (https://medium.com/@zano_project/zano-dev-update-auditable-wallets-mobile-app-release-and-new-team-member-e86bd2eb87de) but in short these are the 3 main points:

* First of all - We have a new GUI release v1.1.7.96, which includes Auditable wallets! Now in Zano it is possible to create and track auditable wallets.

* Secondly, We have officially launched the Zano Mobile Wallet, available in Apple Store and Google Play

*Last but not least we have brought a new team member on board - Anton Sokolov, a researcher with a strong mathematical background. He has his own ideas on how to build log-size signatures, which he described in his work here: https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/688.pdf

And here is a change log for new desktop node release:

• implemented auditable wallets and tracking wallets, supported in both GUI and simplewallet
• 26th word added to new wallets' seed phrase
• wallet files size and syncing speed were greatly optimized
• added new checkpoint at height 600k + updated predownload links for faster syncing from scratch
• simplewallet: new options and command for work with auditable wallets
• GUI: QR code for receiving coins was enlarged for more robust scanning
• Zano core and automated tests are adapted for upcoming hardfork 2
• codebase adopted to support MSVC2019
• Bunch of fixes in wallets manager to prevent crashes on mobile devices
• Fixed wallet pulling daemon like there is no tomorrow
• Extended mobile wallet interface API (wallet size, validating address, generalised response codes)
• Improved wallet sync protocol:  implemented global output indexes deferred fetching (faster sync on staking wallets)

Yeah currently we are not on any dex since we dont have atomic swaps like Orson mentioned but this is definitely in our plans for the near future

TradeOgre doesnt and will not accept listing fees, They will only list coins the want to list. Its important to note that Zano was listed on their own terms. The best way to get BBR listed is fill out the listing form on their site, if enough from the community request it then they maybe will list BBR also

Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update regarding marketplace release date. To be short it’s a process. Technically speaking it has been already released with build 1.1.2.67 and available to use for anyone with most recent wallet version. There will be more manuals and use cases, right now We're working on the blog post that should guide you through the process of creation, updating and deleting your listing, as well as building your own online store on Zano blockchain.

As soon as it’s done, we’ll announce it to the general public and put it on the website with description and all the features. Right now, We wanted to share the vision we have with our community.
 
Zano marketplace is not an application or the website, we’ve seen number of implementations like this and we don’t think it’s a right approach. First, it contradicts the idea of decentralization, one of the main features of Zano, dev team shouldn’t be the owner of online store of any kind, it requires whole different set of skills and business process behind it. Second having all the listings in one place will make it bulky and hard to navigate through. There are so many things you can build on top of Zano blockchain, all kinds of online stores and service platforms. Each would probably have their own goods and categories, unique design and purchase process. And the last there shouldn’t be a single point of pressure if we’re trying to build the censorship resistant platform.
Zano marketplace does everything website owner needs from the blockchain side, it’s highly secure due to Zano unique hybrid consensus algo, anonymous and easy to use. It allows unlimited customization; it doesn’t even force you to you ZANO coins, deal can be settled in any agreed fiat or crypto currency, while listing is being broadcasted through Zano blockchain. Although using ZANO has certain advantages such as built-in escrow contracts with security deposit that could be adjusted to each situation. Which is very important when you’re dealing with completely anonymous counterparty.
