I see some of the old people still looking into this thread once in a while... How are you all doing - I hope you guys recovered well from this mess  Undecided
Is FC really moving Bitcoin Cash funds around? Do we know it's him or did other people from AM/Bitfountain have access to the mining and/or selling funds, as well?

Highly important to look at threads like these from time to time! Remember, this thread is from February 2013! Well before the crazy bubbles we all know and love! Don't be afraid. And if you contemplate selling all your coins now, please make sure it isn't just the panic talking!

Re: $10k????

The chance is quite small that we can reach that value and that is because you have to know that the value of Bitcoin is now rising slowly so we need patience for it.
And it is hard to choose the right moment to sell it because the value is always changing.

I will hold the bitcoin for the long term. So I will not sell at present. I will keep on buying to accumulate enough.

I also don't believe it will reach $10k this year, but in the long term... who knows? In my books it's perfectly possible to reach that price one day!

Re: When are you selling your bitcoins?

I'm selling bitcoins when the price is higher than now, I'm waiting on the halving and if it will be done I will look if I'm gonna sell them.
Its purely all about the price.
Higher than 670? Thats the current price of bitcoin right now, i wonder if bitcoin has the strenght to go back on the upward trend.
If bitcoin drops below 500i bitcoin will have a hard time climbing again to the top.

Why? The trend is still very much within well-established uptrend channels and hasn't even remotely broken support lines. It is important to re-test (and therefore also confirm!) existing support lines!

I sure am glad I don't use online exchanges. Learned my lesson with Gox. It's paper wallets for me.

Okay, we can go up now.  Cheesy

But where do you get your coins? I mean, transferring them instantly to a paper wallet is best practice if you're in for the long run, but you first have to obtain them.

Even if a hardfork happens an things go berserk for some time, Bitcoin will prevail in the long run, simply because it will have proven it didn't die under these circumstances!

Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ?
by

This of course already happened and this is a very goof sign, its now raising to some nice and good prices.
Its just a matter of time before it even will hit and surpass the 1000 dollar.
It wont most likely be easy to surpass 1000 USD. There will be lots of dumping at around 990 USD as 1000 USD is a benchmark for many.

If it indeed has some momentum, there's no stopping at the previous ATH. We will go up quite some bit then, I'm certain!

I'm most likely gonna sell my bitcoins at the end of this year when the price is really high, maybe earlier or maybe a bit later but I hope this year.. if the price is good.

why the end of this year exactly ? if. you are looking for high profit then you should look for a long term investment. you need to wait tell bitcoin become widespread and its price is very higher than now
I guess it was sold at the end of the year was very good, because most likely bitcoin prices will increase at the end of the year. but I would suggest selling bitcoin bitcoin when prices rise

Price will start rising when we will get closer to halving, and I think majority of people will sell their coins at that time to earn higher  profits and that is a good decision to make.

Well, I think we're actually already *pretty* close to the halving already. But no one knows what happens afterwards. There's always a slim chance that the whole rise is just due to mere speculation and everything will go down. But if there's in fact buying pressure, the decline in supply will really push the price up quite a bit still!

$753 is reasonably decent

It is. Price didn't want to break $790, but that's fine since it also didn't want to go down again. Look at the longterm log-charts. Everything's fine Smiley

I spent some a coupla weeks ago. Do I regret it? Well, I could've gotten more stuff with it but I'm happy enough. I think there's gonna be threads like this for as long as crypto exists.

If some store accepts BTC, I often instantly just re-buy the required amount on an exchange. That way I don't lose any BTC, yet I still supported the BTC ecosystem.

Target is actually $260 by the 23rd.  What TA did you use?

No TA at all, I bet it's something along the lines of FUD..... Well, now we know that this didn't metrialize *at all* and yeah... $270 and still going strong Smiley

Yeah well I'd be all in for this scenario to happen, but let's not reach the 'euphoria' phase just yet! Otherwise the bulls will stumble and fall before we get to form a new ATH!

E-Commerce to 1% and store of value to 0.2% would make the price explode.

Yeah. I see it mostly becoming an interesting bet in the realm of store of wealth, actually. E commerce... well... Yes, but not *that* big, to be honest! But hey, prove me wrong Cheesy

The biggest problem with this scenario really is the fact that they would have to *buy* the BTC that are supposed to go into circulation. You can't just go and issue imaginary BTC created out of thin air, you know...

If it really follows a similar pattern as LTC currently describes, we may be in for quite a surprise, actually. But I think the thing with LTC is more due to the fact that the downtrend has been broken so significantly! That being said.... $2'800.

1,5k BTC have just been sold on Huobi. Down to 1534 CNY. There's an ask wall trying to push things down below the resistance line.
