Yes, not the fact that the price will be very high.. everyone can take and dump on some other convenient cryptocurrency thread and the cue ball will fall down. For example on Ethereum, also very impressive.

Re: Please Buy a Hardware Wallet
by

Everyday I come on here and read a sad story about someone getting hacked and losing their Bitcoin / Ethereum.  I hate reading them but its like a car accident on the side of the road, you can't help but look.  Once you read the story it's clear that it could have been avoid had the user used a hardware wallet.  I dont have alot of Bitcoin or Ethereum but I recently purchased my own hardware wallet to keep them secure, I strongly suggest others in my situation (less than 1BTC total invested) to go out and buy a hardware wallet.  Right now.

Why do small fries need a hardware wallet?
We are the most vulnerable because we are less experienced.  Most of us haven't experienced losing coins yet, either directly or through a friend.  We probably download shit we shouldn't, left our private keys in some email we sent (I haven't done this but I could see myself doing something this stupid when I first started) and probably leave our desktop wallets open a bit too long.  The small fries are vulnerable so we need to protect our investments.

What is a hardware wallet
Its a devise that essentially stores your private key on it so you can't be keylogged and requires you input a password onto it, not your computer, before unlocking the wallet AND withdrawing any coins.  Its safe, its secure and only the person with possession of the hardware wallet can withdraw funds (at least I've been told no one has legitimately hacked a hardware wallet without possession of it).  It's easy to use. When you use a Ledger Nano S and activate it, the devise presents you with a private passphrase that does not show up on your computer.  You write down the pass phrases, by hand (do not type it out, take a photograph, or anyhing of the like), and if you lose or break your hardware wallet you can buy another and gain access to it with the private passphrases.  If you are really concerned about the passphrase being lost, buy a fireproof, waterproof safe and ziplock your private passphrase (waterproof safes are known to trap condensation which gets things wet - wet paper with pen = lost writing) so its airtight and lock it up.  Its really secure so long as you keep the pass phrase safe.

Trezor - https://www.amazon.com/Satoshi-Labs-bitcoin-wallet-white/dp/B00P5HU80A/

I have all my valuable crypto, that's currently supported, on my Ledger.  My Bitcoin, Ethereum and you can bet your ass once Deep Onion is supported it will be safely secured on there too.  The Ledger is easy to use and the instructions are crystal clear.  At less than $80, there is no reason not to protect your investment.  Even if you only have $250 in BTC/ETH, you will buy more so you might as well buy one of these now.

I don't want to read another story about someone getting robbed of their Bitcoin and I want our community to flourish.  Secure your coins!

In the future, Bitcoin will grow, so now a lot of companies, cafes, restaurants, online stores accept this currency, in the future they will become even more and Bitcoin can be used everywhere.

Logically, it should grow for several decades without any problems, and I think that growth will even accelerate. The wider the range of knowledge of the subject, the more their contacts with those who are not in the theme, the snowball effect, in short, progression is not linear.

Re: Nothing can stop Bitcoin! Big News!

According to Brian Kelly at CNBC this is the most positive news for Bitcoin all year: I Agree!

https://ethereumworldnews.com/bitcoin-btc-etf-might-be-possible-with-the-bakkt-announcement-says-cnbcs-brian-kelly/
I do not see any prerequisites for significant growth. Events with exchanges in China, a possible ban on mining in the same place, the upcoming hard fork, all this does not particularly stimulate the course, in my opinion.

My thoughts are these - while the cue ball is not particularly popular, I think it is not touched because it is the only entertainment for the population, along with showbiz, but if the cue ball starts too spread, they will definitely do.

Re: Airdrops profitable?

Hi guys, I'm doing airdrops now for 2 weeks but are airdrops that profitable they look like? The main question for me is: Could you make money (100+$ a month) with airdrops?
You write yourself that there is a Commission for the transaction. And how will it work when all the coins are mined? There's only one fee left per transaction, and that's it.

Re: Never say die to Bitcoin

Quit Bitcoin and sell at your BTC at cheap today and regret later. The news coming from the governments are planned with the aim of creating FUD in potential investors because the governments are afraid of the power of decentralization. However, this power of decentralization cannot be stopped because it has already gained roots on the market as more and more people become familiar with the concepts and benefits of Bitcoin and the entire crypto.
Trading volumes on bitcoin platforms are still too small to attract serious hedgers. And this resource will be included, most likely in the fall after the next pump, and then we will look at the continuation.

Thus, investors, having received dollars for their shares, will buy cue balls on them and on bitcoin platforms for these cue balls will buy shares back and forth, and can be repeated with the same success.

Re: If bitcoin prices remain the same until next year, will it be good for the crypt
by
minizi99
on 18/10/2018, 15:03:34 UTC
Bitcoin prices are still the same these days and it does not seem like it is moving up. At least not as high as everyone anticipates. If the price remains the same until next year and it stabilize at around $6000, do you think that it will be good for the crypto world or not? Say it does not go down below it, but it also still does not go higher than that, what do you think will be the repercussions to the market?
In General, with the current volumes, even at the price of 80 k, the market will be quite liquid, because there are many players who are interested in a certain amount, so they will not leave the market before.

The problems on the exchanges of the crypt calmed down a bit and cooled the market, plus it grew strongly for 2 months, so a little exhausted. The cue ball will go down soon, that's for sure.

As expected, bitcoin fell to 6K where he successfully repelled. However, I think it's not the end of the fall. I expect 5500-5800 where I will start buying parts. What you think? Will Ethereum be able to move forward due to this?

i see the future. ether will be 1k$ in 2018.  Cool

update: stoppp ittt. i didn't buy Sad
This is exactly what has happened to gold prices over the past 2 years. And no matter how much money the us Federal reserve printed, buyers did not want to pay more for gold, so sellers reduced their prices.

Re: How do you honestly feel about the recent bitcoin drop?
by

I am relatively new on this and was just invited by a friend to join. I sold mine months ago so I really don't have much. I was thinking that I would have been deathly afraid if I had any bitcoin and this happened. I know it isn't the first time so maybe it will be a good time to buy?
The price movement can be seen on the chart. Gold, if in the next three weeks will not show a miracle, and the price will not fly up, for the first time in a long time will close at the end of the year in the red.

And again they forgot one important thing. They forgot that people don't really have to buy someone's shares. The value of the shares reached levels where investors felt that they did not reflect their real value.

Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?
Yes, it's accordion week ago, just some Bob decided that he would be worth $ 10, it's just a personal opinion of some other person, supposedly an economist. Don't pay attention to this nonsense.

Re: Government trying to stop bitcoin, what I see
by

on 13/10/2018, 12:00:53 UTC
Here is what I see each time the government tries to stop or control bitcoin-

Bitcoin is designed to be censorship resistant, peer-to-peer payment system designed to remove the control by centralized institutions like banks . When bitcoin eventually achieve mass adoption, it will not really be much of an issue if some Governments place a ban on it within their countries.
I do not think that the concepts of classical trading with all these waves are applicable to bitcoin, and by the end of January it can be very far from 1000 because of all this Dzhigurda in China.

For the world to recover, it needs a single world currency. And prices, or rather their increase (inflation) should be about the same everywhere, and if all the same it will be much better.

I did not think that this year BTC was able to break the mark of $100, too quickly began to rise in price, even a couple of hacks did not put it, well, it can be a good feature.
