Re: Tilting Towards the Physical

Not natively using BTC, but through a crypto debit card. Unfortunately, that's the only easy way to purchase almost anything today without needing to spend time and persuade the seller to accept your preferred asset.

The time will come, though. It's just a matter of 'when'.

Re: [NEWS] Locally licensed crypto exchanges flooded with 1 star reviews

What can you say about it? Did you also vote one star to them?

Personally never used a local exchange since 2016-2017? Lol.

One thing's for sure — they do deserve the 1-star reviews.

Re: Anyone else fell off the airdrop radar ?
by

I heard users earned rewards by engaging with the platform through activities like daily events and content interaction. Did anyone participated in this because it seem interesting and i might wear my airdrop cape again and start farming them again.

Those kinds of things are 99% a total waste of time, as they'll be heavily overfarmed. People tend to always farm the easy ones, whereas the more 'difficult' ones are the ones that are worth farming. See: Hyperliquid in 2024-2025.

Farm the right projects, and you won't have that problem.

Idk why anyone farms airdrops that require "social interaction" a.k.a. spam.

Re: Airdrop Discussion Generally
by
mk4

I strongly disagree here, airdrops do not build communities anymore. There are too many people who consider farming airdrops as a job, but that is very bad. You can look at any project that has a good airdrop to confirm my statement. As soon as the airdrop farming is over and distribution has been done, the activity in their telegram and discord drops dramatically. This means that in most cases airdrops are not effective at building a community, instead they only attract farmers who are stealing money and moving away.

In the first place, the airdrops that require you to spam Twitter/Telegram/Discord are bad by default anyway. Not a single decent project founder would ask their community to spam for token share.

Re: What Do You Think About the Circle IPO? A Turning Point for Stablecoins?
by
mk4
on 08/06/2025, 02:45:31 UTC
Will Circle’s IPO be a net positive for crypto adoption and legitimacy?

Or is this just another centralized actor trying to capitalize on crypto’s rails while playing Wall Street’s game?

Who says it has to be one or the other? It can be both.

The Circle IPO signals that crypto in the US will be pretty lax in terms of regulation over the next few years. At the same time, Circle is a typical business trying to make money (which is obviously not a bad thing).

Simply take a look at BTC's long-term price chart. I'm sure that'll answer your question.

Re: Your thoughts on World Coin (WLD)?
by

on 07/06/2025, 03:45:36 UTC
I'm from a 3rd world country myself. I can't see any good reason in doing that procedure to get WLD and this is while I spent a lot of time on Hamster Kombat! I personally prefer TON ecosystem's way of "easy" money making.

Knowing that poverty rates are really high, especially in 3rd world countries, I can't blame the people who will claim the WLD for the extra money.

It's really just going to depend on how harsh the consequences will be when caught, and how deep the authorities are actually digging into catching the illegal crypto users.

What if all of the world's countries turn against crypto (which is very unlikely atm)? Will market prices go all the way to $0?
You don't underestimate the cypherpunk movement lol.

Bullish on World App, bearish on WorldCoin.

WLD simply has a lot of supply overhang that's yet to be claimed by people, so I expect it to still have a good amount of sell pressure in the near to mid-term future, especially from our 3rd-world-country folks.

Sometimes a project gets a random dead cat bounce here and there — no narrative, no catalyst, it just happens. Not every pump needs a “valid” reason.

If I were to guess, a short squeeze.

The chain's pretty dead right now. Unless they get a trending dapp in the near future, I expect this chain to just slowly die out — just like most L1s.

Re: Can Hyperliquid Really Challenge Ethereum & Solana?
by
mk4
on 01/06/2025, 04:12:31 UTC
If we're talking about Hyperliquid's HyperEVM L1, then it's currently not challenging Ethereum and Solana — they're going to need to get the special use-cases into play for it to even slightly challenge ETH/SOL.

But if we're talking about the Hyperliquid DEX, then it has blown every DEX out of the water. 70% market share is no joke.
