Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin?

I think if one is going to sell it's prudent to do so when the price is at a peak, not like it is now - at a bottom.

[2018-01-29] Coincheck execs don’t admit security flaws
by

The executives of the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck, which became the latest victim of a security breach and theft of cryptocurrencies worth $530 million, refused to admit security flaws.

Over the weekend it was revealed that CoinCheck’s hot wallet was hacked and client funds in XEM coins, native to the NEM blockchain, worth $530 million were stolen, making it the largest heist in cryptocurrency history so far. Initially it was reported that Ripples were also stolen.

At a news conference  the CEO of CoinCheck and several other executives told reporters that the exchange is planning to refund its clients and resume trading, without revealing further details. In fact, it seems, at this point there are no specific plans and nobody at Coincheck knows how exactly the funds were stolen.

Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins

Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

By now, i'm on the lose side but still holding. I don't convert my bitcoin yet because i'm waiting for its rise again.
I also convert some extra cash to bitcoin to get more income. Patience is the key to earn in crypto.

I would not advice putting even more money in to Bitcoins right now. The exchange rates doesn't have stabilized as of yet. So we don't know whether they will go up or go down in the immediate future. It will be better to wait for a few more months before making any big move with your coins/money.

I concur. For all we know there could be another sharp drop in the near future.

Bitcoin has fallen significantly and now is the time to make use of that fall and buy from a lower level.

[2018-1-23] South Korea to forbid anonymous cryptocurrency trading
by
mlawson71
on 23/01/2018, 15:38:58 UTC
It looks like the South Korean government has abandoned its plans to impose a blanket ban on cryptocurrency trading in the country, but will nevertheless impose certain restrictions.

According to reports the authorities will enforce a ban on anonymous transactions and trading through virtual anonymous bank accounts, starting from January 30. Instead, six South Korean banks will be issuing new trading accounts, in compliance with KYC requirements. This means that the name on the traders’ account at the exchange and in the bank must match.

According to Financial Services Commission (FSC) vice-chairman Kim Yong-beom, on the day the banks roll out those new accounts, anonymous trading will be banned.

A good effect is that robots can, have and will replace many dangerous human jobs, which in turn will save lives. A bad effect is that those people will end up out of a job.

The first thing that comes to my mind is, I admit, anime. I grew up with various anime series and they hold a special place in my heart even if I don't really watch anymore.

Some countries try to ban cryptocurrencies, others embrace them wholeheartedly. Hopefully as more time passes the former will decrease and the latter will increase.

Re: If we can educate our kids at home why do we need to send them at school?

How many parents are proficient in all the subjects a growing child needs to be educated in? Mathematics, literature, language apart from the literature, biology, chemistry, art, music, civics, philosophy, etc.etc. A parent needs to understand and be able to explain all those subjects to their child in an understandable, approachable manner. Teachers are professional pedagogues, they are taught how to present information to children of different ages with different needs. How many parents are proficient in that? Some probably are, but I highly doubt the majority of them are.

Re: What will Bitcoin's main challenges be for January?

The main challenge will be, I think, not crashing further because of various banning and regulatory news. Whether it will overcome that challenge remains to be seen.

It may sound silly, but I want to find a proper vanilla extract in the stores. I can't find one anywhere. Or even better, I'd like to find whole vanilla beans.

I don't know how good of an investment it is at the moment, it just fell below $10,000 and I think the drop won't end there.

Re: how to preditct coin price?
by

I do not know the reason for this fluctuation, and sometimes I am afraid that this price is bubble and fall

I am often afraid of the same thing, to be honest, always expecting and waiting for the bubble to burst.
