I thought the reward for mining a block was 3 gems?

I just mined one and got 0.296151.  ...

The default port doesn't work with solo mining for some reason...  I changed mine to 2XXX and it works fine.

FWIW The difficulty is 0.61 not 0.21 as coinchoose says.  That means it's barely above LTC for mining profitability at the moment.

Is anyone else having problems sending coins?

I've done all my mining on p2pool, and I can't create a transaction larger than 30 YAC.  (I have 294 YAC in my wallet currently).  ANything larger and is says failed to create transaction.  When I try to send 30 YAC, it says I need to pay a transaction fee of 41 YAC!!!!!

Any way to get this fixed?

Yup I sent 37.5 WDC there this morning, and the transaction doesn't show...  In fact under previous transactions it shows nothing...

I was using BTC to calculate the worst case scenario.  Of course I will mine whatever is most profitable.  I began mining BTC/altcoins with a 7950 on April 9th and have just reached b/e on my investment.  I don't expect the payoff to be nearly as quick next time...

Does it make much sense to build a dedicated GPU rig at this point in time?  I calculated a simple payoff of 5 months (which sounds good) for a rig that I'd build, but with BTC difficulty increasing at 10%/week it looks like it might never pay itself off.

Thoughts?

Also while I am posting, is a 650W gold PS enough to power a rig with 2 7950's?  (my current 7950 appears to draw ~200W).  I think the extra 200W should be enough to power the rest of the PC components...
