Re: ⚒ Syscoin -Blockchain Scalability, Trustless Interoperability for ERC20 projects

Doesn't look like the team posts/maintains this but there will be fireworks for syscoin soon imo. Testnet with proof of data availability is live, optimistic rollups are expected to be on testnet in a month, ZKrollups coming soon after that, new marketplace and dex just launched on sys. The team has been pretty quiet but if you follow all of the developments on their discord/interviews, you can see the pieces coming together for this to catapult into a top 10-15 project. The infrastructure is being set right now, I'm expecting big things as soon as rollups happen.

From 4k to 100k in 4 months, I'll see you guys in May 2018 (6 month experiment)
by

Started with 4k in August and thanks to a very awesome community and learning from some people much smarter than I am, I've been able to make some awesome profits. Due to a new job and very little time, I took 60% out of the market for rainy day funds and will keep the remaining in. I considered taking everything out but as a new years experiment I'm going to leave these positions until May. Right now I have about 40k remaining invested and plan on holding.

There are plenty of good, promising projects but I have narrowed it down to a few that I really like moving forward. My 2018 portfolio and my entry positions (entered all in December). This thread is mainly to keep myself honest and stop trying to trade the swings.

1) STRAT:
651.22499644 @ Ƀ0.0004760  ($4.26)

2) SYS:
11703.88567273 @ Ƀ0.00004345  ($0.1724)

3) GBYTE:
9.72811072 @ Ƀ0.04228  ($562.90)

4) NXS:
1791.34191615 @ Ƀ0.0002009  ($0.2433)

5) BNT:
997.30053989 @ Ƀ 0.0002507  ($4.50)

6) FLO:
15668.7492505 @ Ƀ0.00000910  ($0.03921)

Portfolio Value 12/31/17: $38.72 K, Ƀ2.77

See y'all in May 2018.

Looking good with this call, seems like theres a lot happening for this coin.

Any news on the masternodes return yet? I've got enough for one, considering getting another if the returns are good.

Nexus and Syscoin. They're my two biggest holdings but I'm excited about both of them. Not sure how these don't show up more regularly on these forums. Not much of trading coins as they are buy and hold short/medium term but would love to hear your thoughts.

Awesome to see!   Maybe $2 after white paper.

who knows, alts tend to bounce up and down especially around news. I'm honestly personally hoping a lot of the weak hands sell into strong hands. I wouldn't sell nexus under $5 bucks though, at least. Whitepaper is just one of many thing coming. It's an exciting project for sure.

Really good video, helped explain some things and definitely a good intro into colin/nexus. I think the bigger overview is so important - not just a pump and dump scheme but actually building something worthwhile. I'm definitely excited for the whitepaper.

To me the chart looks like it's neutral, maybe slightly bearish. I dont see anything happening for the next 1-2 weeks price wise but I also dont see it going down much at all.

Nexus by a long shot, not even close. Whitepaper has been promised soon; I've seen excerpts and there is more info on the quantum resistance and ways to achieve it.

One of the most underrated coins out there. When it moons, people will be saying 'told you so'. it's a hugely promising project. A little quiet right now but a lot of things in the pipeline (whitepaper, new wallet, etc) which will get people excited.

take a look here, still not too late for Nexus and UIS, probably wouldn't get FTC though.:

I'd also look at strat, waves, etc, monero/dash.

Send PM if you want to talk more details Smiley

Nexus: Very original project, the quantum resistance is hugeeeely important (not sure why more people aren't concerned about this), right now there are loose but very clear ties between nexus and vector space, they aren't a pump and dump coin and the hype is kept to a minimum. If you do some reading, a lot of very respected members on these forums are holding. They're still relatively unknown and have been experiencing organic growth. The community/slack is also one of the best I've been a part of. This is my largest bag and just added more recently. They have a lot of things in the pipeline. The marketcap isn't huge because a lot of the things coming are still being worked on/developed (new wallet coming, whitepaper almost finished, etc), but once the ship sails it'll be impossible to buy back at these levels.

zcoin: Recent pump as of a few days but still hugely undervalued in my opinion. Better tech than zcash/monero, a lot of things in the pipeline (MTP is pending release, could be any day now, expect news soon). It has potential, especially when a whale or two picks it up. The other day it had a 300btc buy wall and china markets are starting to notice. I think this is the most exciting anon tech out there. Uses zerocoin tech, easy to integrate with bitcoin tech, and also total supply is visible which is part of why I dont invest in zcash (which trades at a much higher price). I ultimately see it replacing zcash.

Stratis: Huge project, huge potential. I am betting on an ETH crash and this seems most likely to replace it to be honest. Breeze wallet coming soon.

Waves: When I was doing research for stratis, waves kept popping up over and over. Another huge project with good potential.

ETC: The original chain. enough has been said about this but as I said earlier, I don't believe in ETH (even though it may be profitable for now)

sorry, kinda ran out of steam towards the end, haha.

Thanks molarbear. Couldn ´t find the thread, could you post a link ?

Here is the ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1638450.4360

But this is the post I was referring to by J_A_Bankster:

"The way I see it Zcoin is the only coin that offers true anonymity as it is the only coin where the transaction link is being broken en therefor not re-traceable when doing a blockchain analysis... Monero has nearly as much anonymity but still organisations like CIA and NSA can figure out the transactions because the link between transaction still exist on the blockchain... Also Monero transactions are heavyweight and slow and there is still no normal functioning wallets available for mass adoption.. In addition the people behind Monero dont care much about community and have taken the piss out of investors before which is very amateur and childish...

Dash is foremost a company... The anonymity is children's play compared to Zcoin, and as a company the have the sole right to blacklist certain dash tokens and offer CIA/NSA type organisations the opportunity for analysis of previous transactions... They might even have no say when summoned to give it all up... Nonethless DASH has a large community and is commercially active..

Zcoin seems to be the single one digital currency that has defeated the anonymity problem and therefor seems not to be able to be taken down by powerful governmental forces... As we all see the governments are already ganging up on the crypto community as we speak...

From Zcoin's roadmap it is clear that the end goals are desktop and mobile wallets, integration with ethereum for swaps between zcoin and ether and foremost a decentralised anonymous market place... It sounds like Silk Road 2.0 and I guess that is exactly what it is, but with the security to not be shut down by any powerful organisation...

If Zcoin can live up to all this and if the Zcoins are truly untraceable and completely anonymous...as well as the market place that will be the main infra structure to integrate Zcoin with regular economics... I'd say this coin might even be the last one standing soon... and the eventual evolutionary product of what Satoshi envisioned...

In this case the value will be priceless... On the shorter term think simple.. Zcoin has better tech than Zcash and Zcash costs $300 per coin.... Zcoin costs $12 per coin.. This disparity is in Zcoins favor"

They have news coming with MTP which is pretty substantial, active devs are working hard it seems. I think the coin is seriously undervalued so this recent pump was just market reacting to potential news. A few days ago there was a 300btc buy wall for support, who knows. It's a long hold for me though. If you check out the ANN thread someone posted a very cool long term idea of where the coin might go. I think it has huge potential, but like anything, it'll either go boom or bust.

Supposedly, quantum proof crypto makes this coin safer but according the Shelley it's less safe. Can someone who has a good technical understanding reply to this?

Here are some screenshots from the slack discussing this, I'm sure the white paper will cover it much more in depth but a few people asked about quantum resistance. I'm a noobie but I'd appreciate it if someone could embed these for others to read. This is from the dev discussing the topic. He's busy but relatively responsive in the slack if you have any more technical questions (or post here and I can ask for you):
