Hi,

I have a desktop wallet of colossus from 3 years ago and forgot about it.

How do I get my wallet going with the new colossus in my wallet?

Any help would be really appreciated

If it's Colossuscoin COL (Version1) you can't swap anymore. The COL blockchain was broken and
"The swap has finally ended on 26th of January , 2016."

Colossuscoin2 CV2 can be swapped here (until 27th Dec, 2017):

Why not the developer pays for this exchange?? Why should be the community??
LoL and why should the devs work hard and pay listing fees? its a community driven project,
the dev's can't do it alone. send requests to exchanges and donate a few bucks

Pro: Decentralized peer-to-peer network, many digital coins offered with easy to use interface. Fiat currencies supported and Margin trading offered.
Cons: Minimum deposit requirements for most currencies, which makes this exchange not that beginner friendly. Also, it seems that trading volumes on most pairs are quite low.

the order book is empty there. time to fill it  Smiley nova is still open until April 2018. Counting from now, this is a longer time than COLX even existed, so no reason for a panic now. There is plenty of time to get a new exchange going

Thanks, that is what I needed to know, Any idea what the effect on staking is if I split it to 20.000 or to like 2000 ?

It is recommended to make your blocks 15000-20000 COLX in size. The bigger your block is, the bigger weight it will gain. It is impossible to predict, but the more weight your block has (and the more your wallet stays open), the more chances that it will stake sooner. Chances are equal for every user, the only things that matter are the block weight and your ability to have the wallet open for an extended period of time.

I haven't got a stake in 36 hours now because all my coins are immature again so I have to wait another week. I need to split them into small chunks, is there a step by step manual how to do that?

Ensure you have done the wallet upgrade (Latest wallet version v1.0.1). Click on the send tab in the COLX wallet and click on coin control features - inputs to verify how your COLX tokens are distributed (single vs multiple address). If you have a single address, you can use the Split UTXO option to create multiple of 50 outputs using the UTXO splitter which is ideal to gain rewards rather than keeping 1,000,000 coins in one address. If you have coins under different address, please move it around by intra wallet transfers which are instantaneous and very cheap (~10 COLX/kB transaction fee) to ensure each address has atleast 20,000 COLX. This ensures good staking rewards.

I don't understand some people. Unfortunately most people want something for nothing.
They are asking why the development takes so long and when someone proposes various options on how those people can help the project, ranging from just donating little amounts of doge/ btc for adding it to exchange from actively involving themselves they bitch about it being a scam / dead coin.
I don't comment on here much because of these boys, but I will support this project by donating and do something.
Make up your mind people.

Pos 3.0 brings inducement for people to operate online (Master)nodes and be active in the staking process.
Before 3.0: The best strategy was then to keep your node offline and then only bring it online rarely to get a huge stake payout. People with not many coins got a small stakes while people with lots of coins got large stakes. After 3.0: You need to run your online node 24/7 if you want to get your best interest. If you have a lot of coins and stake all the time you will be granted your interest. If you have a lot of coins and do not stake you will be granted 0% interest. If you have not that many coins and stake all the time you will be granted more especially in situations when not all issued coins participate in the stake process.

Staking is not active.
Multisend: Not active.

What do these means? This is different from other wallets which says "staking..."

So unclear this stuff. Looked on how it is done on PIVX but this is some heavy stuff. (...) Def not trying to be disrespectful but really need some more info. ;-)

COLX Masternode installation guide (summary)

For security, you should create a hot/cold setup with TWO wallets:
   - One wallet for the masternode (24/7, so either a VPS or a server in your home). This will be the masternode. IT WILL CONTAIN NO FUNDS!
   - One wallet on your pc. THIS WILL CONTAIN THE FUNDS. You can use it to start the masternode server and then close this wallet.

First install the masternode wallet.
   - It must use the default port: 51572 (and ususally 51573 for RPC);
   - Write down the IP address, you'll need it later;
   - Open ports, NAT, firewall if you need to;
   - Start it. On linux: colxd --deamon
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
   - Stop it to make adjustments later. On linux: colx-cli stop
   - The masternode wallet will stay empty at all times!

Then install your PC wallet:
   - This is just a regular install of the wallet with a GUI
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
Transfer the funds to your PC wallet:
   - Create a new receiving account (File, Receiving Addresses, New), call it 'Masternode 01' or whatever you like.
   - Transfer exactly 10,000,000 to that account (must be one 10,000,000 payment, not mulitple small amounts).
Check your payment:
   - In the console (Tools Menu, Debug Console), use 'masternode outputs'.
   - For valid 10,000,000 payments, it will give you a transaction_id and a transaction_index (usually 0 or 1).
   - Copy/paste these values to textfile, you will need them later.
Create a unique number for your masternode:
   - In the console, use 'masternode genkey'
   - Save it to the textfile, you will need it later.
Enter your masternode details in your PC wallet:
   - Click Tools, Open Masternode Configuration File (or open masternodes.conf)
   - On one line, enter: some name without spaces like MN01 (space) masternode IP:port (space) generated_key (space) transaction_id (space) transaction_index
   - Save the file and restart (I think)

Configure your masternode wallet: edit ColossusCoinXT.conf:
   - Add masternode=1
   - Add masternodeprivkey={the key you generated}
   - (re)start it. On linux: colx-cli stop / colxd --deamon
   - The debug.log should say that the masternode is waiting to be started (from the PC wallet).

Activate the masternode from your PC wallet:
   - Go to page 'Masternodes'
   - Click 'update status' to see
   - Use any of the start buttons to register the masternode with the network.
   - IF IT COMPLAINS ABOUT TXID: Use the console instead: 'masternode start-alias MN01'

Check your masternode wallet:
   - The debug.log should say 'Enabled!'.
   - It will start Pinging the masternode system to keep its registration alive.

YOU CAN NOW CLOSE THE PC WALLET!
   - If you open it, your masternode payments will appear (after block 10.080).

Good Guide
Thanks a lot!

Latest update on OMC:

"I would like to ask everyone to create an account on Cryptopia.co.nz and send me their Bismuth address as well as the TX message"

"Would kindly ask everyone to have their addresses messaged to me (OMC balance and Bismuth info) before October 15, as that's when the first distribution start."

I have my OMC on Yobit.net
What should I do?

Hello,
please help. I have OMC Omicron on Yobit.
What should I do?Where can I swap to ETH based Token?

Thank you
Monaw

Edit:

Yes, I will definitely make a guide on how to do it. I need 1-2 weeks of planning before I proceed with anything. The planning process includes the release of a short-term roadmap, with the swap commencing shortly after that. Once all that is done, my sole objective would be a replenishment of the fund, to the point where A. Dividends can continue, even on a minimal basis, or B. A buy-back of Omicron. If we proceeded with a buy-back, it would be quite lower than the BTC value of the ICO price, but should be more or less similar to the USD value at the time, considering the fact I would be using whatever garnered funds remaining along with a bit of money from my pocket. But that is ahead of us at the moment, and the main focus to deploy on a proper system to get the ball rolling again. All decisions will be held by community vote as the investors are the voice of this project. More details to come soon.

Where I can find the short-term Roadmap?

Thank you
Monaw
