#ok transaction with the smallest amount created.

As one of the users with a tiny amount of shares I do wonder if making people with less than the magic number of 277 shares wait a year is sensible.  Look at the bitfunder list any a huge amount of people only have handfuls of shares and then a few have whopping amounts.

You may be right, but if they had at least taken some time to explain that themselves and stop dicking us around with changing IPO terms and introducing fucked up AML after the fact I am sure we would all feel a lot differently.

Given the events of the last year, it should be obvious that the original IPO terms are no longer viable.  The AML was the result of ID attempting to provide share liquidity while avoiding the fate of Bitfunder & Co.

I agree it is a conflict of interest for the asset issuer to also be the exchange operator.  Ciphermine did the same thing with Ciphertrade, with equally unsatisfactory results which pleased no one at all.

But compared to CipherKate's disappearance, Will and Terra has been very available and forthcoming.  If you need more hand-holding than has been provided, just ask on this thread and it will be provided.

If Will can get us a deal on some sweet Golden Nonce chips/wafers, there is still a chance to turn this thing around...

Just ping out a daily update, even if its "no progress today", and I for one will rest easy

So far flashed the firmware with no problem and removed all other load from the hub (block erupted and fan)
But sadly no different yet
CGMiner next

Sadly no Joy with the new cgminer either.

Trying to get registered on the Drillbit forums but admin approval seems to be taking days.

Which OS are you using?  can you try that Thumb on another PC?
After trying my Thumb with different miner s/w (the new bfgminer 3.10) on another PC, when I returned it to the original 'mining pc' it had a much lower hashing rate than previously (abt 2.7 vs. 3.02 GH/sec before).  This is at ext:270:1:950.  Resetting cgminer (S - setting, C - restart cgminer) brought it back to previous performance.  I suspect that there are some persistent parameter values that require more than 1 go to change.

Good luck

Yes I compiled it with the drillbit options.
I can certainly try a different machine.  Worth a try ;-)

Nope still no joy.

anyone here on the Drillbit forums able to poke an admin I am still waiting for approval.

Regards
 Marc

Rather strangely my up to now unstoppable Drillbit thumb now only gives Timing out unresponsive ASIC 0
I am at a loss of what to do to troubleshoot this?

Has it somehow bitten the dust?
Any suggestions welcomed.

Cheers

My Drillbit Thumb has been running for some days now.
I have to say in comparison to my Bluefury it runs cooler, faster and with less errors even with it overclocked just under 3Gh/s

I do hope you get the opportunity to produce more and indeed than you find a way to accept paypal again.

Good product Barntech

Hurah my Thumb just arrived.

Sadly however I cannot get ZAdig to see it and when I plug it in their is a slightly audible pop sound.

Any thoughts anyone?

Ok forget that a change of USB port resolved the issue.... OH well ;-)

Marc

Great. This means we have touchdown in the U.K.  Grin Everyone one else should be getting those thumbs really soon!

Did you have any import tax notices with the usb drives monsieurmarc ?

Nope no issues whatsoever

Change the resistor and put a decent heat sink on.

The one supplied with my two units are pathetic, and even with a fan rammed up against them, they're running at holyomgshithot temps at 2.4GH.  The ones on the RedFurys looks like they could cope, but the heat sink on my Blue Fury is more like something I'd put on a 7805.
Thanks we will take that into consideration for the next batch. It is my understanding that the heatsinks where sourced at a rush because we didn't want to delay shipping any further.

At the moment Win7 and have tried bfg 3.2 and all later versions and see no hw errors on 3.2 and a lot on 3.6
Tonight I will put it onto my Pi at home and see how it does.

Zero hw errors is a nice thing to see :-)
Please try 3.6 as it gives a better understanding of the error rate. 3.2 ignores the errors and doesn't display them.

Can you please define lots

Thanks

Ok thanks I will do that

Hi Beastly,

As mentioned earlier mine is pootling around at about 1.9ghash

I suspect the variation is all the outputs seen is the tolerance on your resistors.

The 223's I believe typically have a 5% tolerance
