You're talking about SHARPE right?

Looks like they went bust quite a while ago (April 5th (?))

Not entirely sure what happend though. See for yourself @ coinmarketcap, https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sharpe-platform-token/

It just completely died. Their site too, https://sharpe.capital If you had any money on it i'm pretty sure it's lost.
Unless they merged/moved with another shitcoin, can't find anything about it though.

Well everything you said I know about that i first did my research and then uploaded this post. I didnt invest anything in it but right now involved in a project where I have not spend a single peny but still wanted to save my time by ignoring that project.

The SHARPE project post which was uploaded on bitcointalk was in 2017 and till april it was active but since then they disappered also on there post there were 80 pages of comment so i wanted to ask those people who responded to the messages there that do they know anything about it or not.

Re: Warning about Lootbits.io

Warning: It is highly likely that Lootbits.io is utilizing its users' machines resources to mine cryptocurrencies without their consent or knowledge.

I reached that conclusion based on my experience, because every time I visit that shady website my laptop works at full speed and sometimes overheats. and when I close it everything goes back to normal.

It's not my laptop. I have a decent one. and that doesn't happen with other websites. Even if I open dozens of tabs it doesn't happen. only when I visit Lootbits.io

The mining process gets activated when you click on the popup messages they show you whenever you do anything on their website (for example: when you claim your free gems).

Don't break your machine.
STAY AWAY FROM THAT WEBSITE!

I don't think they are mining but the high load is because of too many ads as this happen with me whenever I use a site that have a high number of ads.

Update

beerformoney forum declares this site as scam...

Thanks for the updates folks. I think this confirms that the website is an outright scam, and they are just making money out of users instead by using them to watch so many ads in return for nothing.
I also second that OP should change the title to Lootbits.io is a SCAM

Whoever is thinking of joining should stay off.

That is a good suggestion and i have changed the subject

What is Blockchain and how it is a unique system
by
monstercool
on 18/05/2019, 13:34:56 UTC
We live in an era where everybody heard about either blockchain or cryptocurrency or maybe bitcoin as they are the trending and media’s favorite topics these days. Even the people who’ve never mined a cryptocurrency, or don't know how it works, are talking about it. So If you don't know what It is then you are in the right place. I will try to explain it but also keeping in mind to keep it as simple as possible so that even a non-tech person can understand me what I am talking about?
Quote
So the question that pops into our mind is Why we need the blockchain?
To explain the significance of blockchain we will picture a scene that will better explain how it works.

Let's suppose 2 friends Tom and Bob and Bob went on a vocation, which he planned for a long time, but during his vacation, he exceeded the budget. Now he needs more money so he calls his friend Tom and asks him to send him 500 Euro so he can enjoy his vacation.

Tom has the money so he responds to him "Sending right away".

Tom then call to his account manager at his bank and tell him, “Please transfer 500 Euro from my account to Bob’s account.”

Your account manager replies, “Yes, sir.”

He opens up the register, checks the account balance to see if Tom has enough balance to transfer 500 Euro to Bob. Because Tom is a rich man, he makes an entry in the register.

Note: We’re not talking about computers only to keep things simple.

Tom call Bob and tell him, “I’ve transferred the money. Next time, you’d go to your bank, you can withdraw the 500 Euro that I have just transferred.”

What just happened? Bob and Tom both trusted the bank to manage their money. There was no real movement of physical bills to transfer the money. All that was needed was an entry in the register. Or more precisely, an entry in the register that neither Tom nor Bob controls or owns.

And that is the problem of the current systems.
Quote
To establish trust between ourselves, we depend on individual third-parties.
For years, we’ve depended on these middlemen to trust each other. You might ask, “what is the problem depending on them?”

The problem is that they are singular in number. If a chaos has to be injected in the society, all it requires is one person/organization to go corrupt, intentionally or unintentionally.
  • What if that register in which the transaction was logged gets burnt in a fire?
  • What if, by mistake, your account manager had written 5000 Euro instead of 500 Euro?
  • What if he did that on purpose?
Quote
For years, we have been putting all our eggs in one basket and that too in someone else’s.
Could there be a system where we can still transfer money without needing the bank?

To answer this question, we’ll need to drill down further and ask ourselves a better question (after all, only better questions lead to better answers).

Think about it for a second, what does transferring money means? Just an entry in the register. The better question would then be
Quote
Is there a way to maintain the register among ourselves instead of someone else doing it for us?

Now, that is a question worth exploring. And the answer is what you might have already guessed. The blockchain is the answer to the profound question.

It is a method to maintain that register among ourselves instead of depending on someone else to do it for us.

Are you still with me? Good. Because now, when several questions have started popping in your mind, we will learn how this distributed register works.

It's very simple to understand if you know how technology works and especially if you knew how the platform works.

Some scammers just alter the names of admin for example: r1a2y3m4 and some scammers will alter 1 with !, a with @.

if you use telegram from a long time I think it is impossible to scam those people but if you just joined the app then there may be chances that you will be scammed as you don't know much about telegram at that time and if a scammer contacts you, he will give you a really good offer that you will somehow accept. Whenever any scammer contacted me they didn't leave the username blank but instead, they miss spell the admin name.
As an example if the admin name is "Wallo" so the scammer, first of all, use the same picture to try to convince you that you saw him in the group 2nd he will use the name like "Walo" or name other small changes they if you don't focus you will think they are real.

I do not know if a referral program is feasible here, in fact I'm not sure but I think that in the forum the threads that have to see to get referrals are not allowed.

Referral systems I think are totally prohibited, I think you should edit your proposal because if it is forbidden you will delete the topic, it is better than before you read the rules of the forum.

well in bitcoin talk I think it is not allowed to use the referral link and also on this form, there is nothing such written just said that we should not spam the chat. But plz let me know if it is against because what I read and saw is not violating the rule of the form.

If that telegram user is a scammer and you know it then you should report that user right away and I also created a thread to prevent random telegram users from adding you to random groups without your consent. It happens to me everytime before I find out that you can prevent it. Here's the thread link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5072351.

well, that is great I didn't know that we can prevent it thanks for the link it was helpful for me as well. This is the power of sharing knowledge.

If you are new to telegram then try to visit my blog and read about it as there are many scammers on telegram who will try to scam you, so better you should know what to do on telegram and where to look for help or how to contact the admin.

Blog about Telegram scammer
Edit: The purpose of this post is to spread awareness so I will copy the content from my blog if anyone doesn't want to visit it.

Be aware of Telegram scammers

In cryptocurrency, there are many scammers who take advantage of innocent people because scammer knows that they will easily be scammed and all the blame will be on that project where he or she was being scammed.

So the purpose of writing this blog is to inform everyone, who want to be part of the cryptocurrency. There are many good cryptocurrency projects out there where you can invest and take advantage but you have to be careful because it is not the projects that have a flaw but it is our unawareness that will lead us to people who are basically out there to scam new users, because cryptocurrency is the implementation of decentralized system replacing the old centralized system.

Telegram is the source that many cryptocurrency projects are taking as a way of communication and trying to help there members and also to build an active community. The purpose of the Telegram group is to help and respond to every question that a new or old client has and to inform about there upcoming projects. But in Telegram, I have noticed that people complain about being scammed and they always blame the project for it and never think about it that it is there mistake, as they don't know how telegram work, that leads them to scammers.

Using the app is not so hard but it is really easy to deceive a new Telegram user because anyone can change his name in Telegram and can contact the other and introduce himself as being the admin or responsible of that project. But we never pay attention to the Telegram app, because there are ways we can avoid being scammed. So how to get avoid being scammed by those people.

What we should do when we join a group.

  • Always check the pinned message that will help you with. As it has all the detail about the project and you can find most information in it.

    https://[Suspicious link removed]/p/SaWanc
  • The admin of the group will always have an "admin" tag with his name.
  • If an unknown person contacts you better not to respond or report him as spam.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w91_8ybhk2spKT_0sXjfSwRgUQ5oaWsi/view?usp=sharing
  • As in the pinned message, they have always written that the " admin will never contact you first" which mean that if a direct message you got from anyone in the Telegram and claim to be the admin, he is truly a scammer, so never respond to such messages and also report them as spam.
  • If you want to contact the admin the best way is to approach him or her by following these steps. 1. open the telegram app and tap into the group and find the admin with the tag "admin" 2.Click on there photo 3. Then click on "send message".
  • Always use the app or main site to send or receive money if anyone even the admin ask you, which they will never do, to send money to a specific wallet id never ever do it because once your transaction is confirmed no way to claim it back.

I am a big fan of cryptocurrency and just here to support it.

the purpose of asking about it scam was to get a good view about the site but some comment which was very good and clearly explain it that it is a scam, which I was already expected as on faucet sites you hardly get 50 sat and here when you are at lvl 1 you open a box and get 9k sat is really something surprising for me. It is really a shame, because of these scam sites many people still don't trust to invest in cryptocurrency.
Everyone wants the BTC prize to go up but with such scams, it is really hard as investor hardly get there hand in it or even if they do they back off after some time.

Blog about Telegram scammer

I will re-edit my blog with the bitcoin link to this page so it will be great that they can read the story that you guys just shared.

Are you sure you're a newbie? This is a great blog anyway and its helpful for all of us who used telegram everyday. There's so many troll, scammers and hackers on telegram and I believe they can just easily create account to troll the specific group, don't believe them any way. Telegram is just a place to be informed by the group of every developer but never to have some decent chat to anyone because they are just trying to get sympathy and scam you later on.
I created my account in bitcointalk long time ago but i hardly used it, since I am taking part in many ICO and looking for some good project to follow and invest in it i realized that when I started telegram It was really hard to know the feature and if you don't know about Telegram then better be save else you will maybe get across a scammer and you will easily give him ur coins. Also I am not new to blockchain so it is not easy for a scammer to scam me but if someone who is new to blockchain and also don't know how to use Telegram then he will end up losing his money and his trust on cryptocurrency will be gone and I am one of a true believer in crypto, So most of my blog will be about crypto from now onward.

Blog about Telegram scammer

Nice Blog, worth reading especially for newbies. To add, never entertain PMs made from unknown person asking help or such. I encountered this a lot since I had used telegram. Some would ask you a favor to withdraw their crypto from an unknown platform in exchange they will pay you money. Where, you will be creating an account (Careful phishing) since you will be attracted to their offer usually telli g you they will give you a huge amount of crypto for helping them.

since i am in few ico project and now using telegram for a long time but when you are a new to telegram you can be scammed and i have seen people in the chat that are being scammed and just tried to wrote about it so they can avoid being scammed and lose there coins. I hope it will help them but they have to read it understand and if they are smart enough they dont need any blog or form

The idea of this site was great but it turned out to be a scam site as the developer of the site stop responding in the form and since Easter, he didn't show up. Just before easter vacation, he talked on discord someone who informed us that he is on vacation but I doubt it that someone with such a running site will stop for 15 days without visiting for a few mins in a day and the withdrawal was manual so I am sure it also stops. As I didn't spend any money so I don't regret it but really feel bad for those who spend their time as well as money on that scam site.
So if you are using the site it is better to stop using it.

don't waste time on this  Cool

i just got this payout proof - but i think its a build up to attract users

http://paymentproof.club/

And one video payment proof one user - how far its real i don't know

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c94l57Fash4

Well, I think it is a scam because they are having a high payout which means that it is likely they will give in the start as most scam sites do and once they have enough traffic they will stop paying and starting to earn them. Also there is a form where people were talking that they reached till 75% payout but after that it is hard to find any box with btc but mostly empty or if they find btc it is around 100-300 sat whereas in start they send you 9k sat so they drop the sat amount as you will reach to payout which lead us to one conclusion and that they maybe scammer.

I am using this site but not sure it is a scam or not as from my experience it looks like a scam because the withdrawal amount is really high it is 0.049 so it will take a long time to make it. so I decided to ask here so can save my time instead of clicking after every few hours in a day
Edit: With the input of many users I think it is clear that it is a scam because most ppl confermed it that higher you will go the lower the btc reward will be and also most boxes will be empty. And if they are paying sites why don't they lower the withdrawal amount to 0.001 as anyone with lvl1 can achieve it with opening just a few boxes.
THE SITE IS A SCAM AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON SUCH SITE THAT YOU WILL REGRET IT IN LATER ON

The best strategy is when you start losing it is better to stop playing otherwise you will end up 0
so take a break and i always wait for the next day to come and it always work also when you are not playing dont think about it.
and also you should always have 4 -5 strategy to cover up if one doesnt work try others.
