Re: It´s not about IF but WHEN - don't panic

Guys, how many times BTC faces a lot of problems, and there´s always people saying: BTC is scam, BTC will reach zero, BTC is over, BTC is dead?

And every single time BTC rise and stay relevant

So it´s just a question of time, if you have money, buy BTC and wait, just wait
If you have BTC enough, just hold

We have been through MANY situations like this.
Why would that be the last?
So it´s just a question of TIME, soon or later we'll see green candles everywhere

Bitcoin should comfortably fit into about 10-25% of any diverse portfolio alongside major tech stocks and emerging markets and if you're buying for the long term you aren't getting a bad deal at present just wait to see if it won't dip a little more before filling those bags up and you should be looking pretty Cool

Re: Stock market, bubbles, US economy, distribution of wealth...Americans=no savings

America calling themselves as supernation of this world which means all the people in that country living a better life compared to third world countries, or am I wrong?

So Americans have to change their money spending habit if they want more savings. Roll Eyes

Rich investor? Every investor knows that is good time to buy stocks which will give them huge profits in very quick time but only people have enough money will go for it but there are other options also available for them to invest now such as gold, real estate and especially cryptos.

Problem with the latter is most don't understand it and there simply isn't simple enough tools for your ordinary first time investor that are easy enough for them to get on board this starship

Combine that with the weary effects of a post 2017 market crash and the dark web stigma and we have little to no interest from the majority of mum and dad investors who are likely to consider putting there money elsewhere for a change, but some major companies are going to make hell of marketing this if post-halving we're still upright and slowly drifting upward

Even if the virus did vanish in a puff of smoke and everyone went "back to work", the behavior of billions of people and every country has been permanently changed.

Demand won't quickly come back, borders won't easily reopen, international relations won't be the same.

This is one hell of a lot worse than any previous scare if you take into account the sheer numbers its mind boggling to think what's going to be altered... entire economies, almost every lifestyles, the way we think has already changed and will continue if this persists for more than the short term we'll have irreparable but increasingly positive change to the way us as humans approach and value life, a greater concern about our solo and collective health and wellness, and a new point of reference to discuss and unite us as a global community so it won't be all bad just a little different

Communities are a source of collective strength in the real world not just in this forum and if everyone does whatever they can to minimize the impact of this then we'll get through it without too much loss whether it be economic or other

Re: Virus Bear Market?
by

on 14/04/2020, 16:28:56 UTC
Hello, late to all this doom & gloom news, had my head stuck in the sand for a while been busy. Just got out of it and hear this corona virus thing causing markets worldwide to crash even oil markets. Questions:

Covid-19 virus recently caused the crash of btc over a week ago?

Government saying this virus hype can last till next year, meaning Btc crash will be sustained to new lows this year similar to a virus bear market till next year when the virus fear hype is over?

Will Btc halving this May coming will get us out of this virus bear market?

Whats covid-19 virus got to do with Bitcoin? Its not a computer or blockchain virus that attacks btc so why Btc crash?

In global recessions/depressions/global economic meltdowns people turn to gold/silver and digital gold such as bitcoin so why bitcoin crash and gold market not crashing in times like these?

If you haven't already hedged half your portfolio in preparation you're simply not doing it right!

And that's all I can say Cheesy

Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses
by

on 14/04/2020, 16:27:05 UTC
We never thought this corona will be so viral and disastrous and even I have mentioned in my previous posts downplaying the seriousness of Corona but now it has collapsed economy of many businesses except pharmacy business which have seen a spike as most of the stocks are out of stock but the restaurant and other daily operational business like tours and travel agency, malls, other event-based business, and meat shops are closed and going through massive loss.

How long will it last? What's the antidote for Corona?

So far there is no widely available vaccine for this disease but a global efforts are underway around the clock to try to create one and you will have to be patient because this is only past the start to beginning of the middle part of the crisis so in no way is it fully passed over yet even in the location it originated so stay safe everyone, be vigilant and help your neighbors and support your local communities because they will need it in these testy times

Re: Will the government understand?
by

on 14/04/2020, 16:16:22 UTC
With the society collapsing , I fear for a common man , I fear for the families who were already living on the edge and now without any jobs , without any money , they are surviving on the brink .
Yes the government is distributing food for the poor , they are doing whatever they can , but it is not enough .
Just like , we are able to transfer our education system , all online in a matter of days , why are they not doing the same for most of the offices ?
Even at the time of the crisis , corruption still can be seen , when a country which is considered the most powerful , the US , when the people cannot trust the president itself , who can they trust at that time ?

I do know that people engaged in cryptocurrencies are way ahead of the time, so do you guys think there is a way by which jobs can be provided to the needy because we all know that a vaccine is 12-18 months away .

Things will take a lot of time to be normal , till then how will the economy survive?

This depends on where you are located geographically, in some cases things might be good in others not so favorable even downright scary but the IMF has a trillion dollar was chest it plans to put to good use to help stabilize third world economies, plus there's plenty of charity work that can help from more developed nations so don't despair there should be a concerted enough effort to look after as many citizens of earth as possible, and hopefully in future Bitcoin can play more of a role in these endeavours

If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.

Bitcoin is considered by most professional analysts to be a risk-on asset with a high degree of volatility, so when the global markets tank likely so will any new emerging assets no matter how uncorrelated they can be from other major traditional options like Gold, Diamonds, Oil etc. so multiply the risk factor by 10 and you'll have most institutions running for the hills, however, these times might just see new interest if this asset does stay afloat and may have more upside potential for it than downside so let the next couple of weeks ride out before taking shorts out all over the place Tongue

Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy?
by

Just when we thought that China had banished corona from it’s land suddenly new cases began to pop up at record pace, and now the health experts believe that it could be a second potential wave of Coronavirus in China. At this stage China will once again be forced to go into lockdown, and do you’ll think that it’s economy will be able to recover quickly from this second lockdown too?.

Source:

This is not good news but they're prepared better now so it shouldn't cause too much of an after shock in equity markets globally, but on another note the U.S. has a lot on its plate at the moment so there could be some volatility ahead for the stock markets which shouldn't impact BTC too much as it's pretty much been sold off to its low-grade value but watch whale alert and market sentiment indicators because another dip to the $3,000-$4,000 range is still possible before normalizing back toward the $5,000-$10,000 optimal range (halving price included)

We will have economy re-start.
Loans will be cheap and Everybody even with Bad poor credit history will Get the loans Again.

Inflation will hit to sky!

The effects of this virus will not be as bad as most fear... we'll be paying for it for a while two years tops then everything will be back to normal with a huge black hole of debt swirling around every piece of already printed money on the planet, that's if Libra doesn't swoop in and take control first and provide every newly digitally ID'd global citizen with the services they need most and share the generous donations from their hugely wealthy and resourceful partners (only real competition = Amazon)

Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us.
by

on 14/04/2020, 15:12:18 UTC
COVID-19 is still spreading around the world, there are so many lives that passed away because of the virus, but despite of danger that this virus can give to use, it teaches us something in our lives.

1. Our earth feel free because there are a lot of company that produces air pollution that is being closed.
2. There are so many people who clean our environment, there is general cleaning in our community.
3. People learned how to be careful and protect their health.
4. Because of this virus, the government decided the lockdown on our are and by that we get so much bonding on our family.
5. There are a lot of cancelled activities and gathering such as (night club, vices, etc.)
6. The virus makes us so conscious on our environment.
7. Our camaraderie increases.
8. Our faith on our God increases.

I know and I believe that we can overcome this problem, let us all help each other, stay at home to prevent the risk of spreading the virus.

There's a lot of common sense expressed here but is that all you were concerned about sharing or is there some magic takeaway for crypto people that can help us feel better when our entire holdings plummet to zero? Huh

Ps: Only joking about another crash but if one were to occur it would be have to realise global economic doom way worse than a recession and we aren't anywhere near that yet worldwide but re-structuring will take time

by

on 03/04/2020, 12:53:59 UTC
There is no better example of a scam in technology history than Ethereum

There is no subjectivity necessary to state the obvious, it's completely derived from the premine, from their idiocy in every single thing they do.

Ethereum group are literally made of only people who are unable to make a single rational choice in their lives, starting with always permissioned designs like PoS and premines and ICO's and ending with failures like countless subjective forks forced on everyone, money confiscations, censorship already demonstrated. They even failed at accidentally forking the chain a few times due to incompetent devs. But only incompetent developers cannot tell if 1 or 2 is bigger and cannot calculate how only 1 trusted party can have 70% of supply in the damn premined design.

Ethereum is a community of only illiterate idiots and scammers with literally no other options to explain a choice for a centralized platform cosplaying crypto.

If given a choice of platform to use despite its flaws I'd still choose Ethereum over Tron or EOS

Re: HODLers, spend your BTC
by

on 03/04/2020, 12:25:40 UTC

With all due respect, I beg to disagree. The economy is far from fine. It is about to crumble down. The current problem is not just about people having no money to spend. It has also become a problem where to spend them. Shops, restaurants, shopping centers, bars, and so on are closing.

And not just these kinds of businesses. Even factories and manufacturing centers, hotels and resorts, airlines, casinos, and many more are also closing down. People are not earning anymore.

BitCoin grew up in an ECONOMIC BUBBLE, where virtually all assets were going up.    BitCoins PRICE CRASH in its first economic crisis should worry everyone  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

The economic crisis will last for many years, yes worse than the GREAT DEPRESSION.  It is impossible to predict, BUT, if BitCoin continues to react this way to an economic crash, BitCoin is DONE, going down to almost zero.

Hard Facts

It is possible that the Bitcoin market simply won't be as attractive to buyers because of this crisis and it may even implode due to low prices and higher mining costs post halving, but there is plenty of long term investors and all that's needed is a little momentum and we should have a solid outcome

Re: Would Bitcoin remain number 1 if each country had it’s own crypto?
by
moonblocks
on 02/04/2020, 20:13:39 UTC
I’ve heard mixed thoughts on if each country eventually created their own cryptocurrency, would Bitcoin still be number 1 or would it fizzle out. Some say it would legitimize Bitcoin even more, others say it would make Bitcoin obsolete.

What are your thoughts?

It would certainly bring a lot of attention to cryptocurrencies if any major economies adopted central bank digital currencies and these won't likely render it obsolete because it has a unique value proposition and limited supply and is decentralized in nature which makes it an individual store of value that continues to redefine itself as it evolves so there's not likely to be much competition from such endeavors even a Facebook cryptocurrency won't likely detract that much from its growing niche and instead lead to a potentially wider and more conscientious market recovery as more and more adoption occurs with a focus on only the best quality innovations on offer

It's that time again, where bitcoin(and pretty much almost every other non-stablecoin cryptocurrencies) does a huge nosedive. This is just a reminder that whatever amount you've "lost" with the market  crash, in the end, it's just money. Money can be made back in the future through multiple various ways, whereas you have only one life to live. It's not the end.

Whether you're invested in bitcoin, whatever altcoin, or even the stock markets, if you've been having suicidal thoughts, please think twice and try talking to a professional.

For the suicide hotline for the country you're in, please refer to this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_suicide_crisis_lines

Times like today are so reminiscent of the last market crash whereas suicide-related posts and suicide hotlines are popping out on multiple crypto-related subreddits. But yea, this might be cheesy as hell, and while a lot of people here have been here since like forever(hence are probably immune to the effects of these crashes at this point), but if this saves one person it's well worth it.

Happy trading and investing!

In one simple phrase... "don't panic!"

Even if the market flashes red indicators all over if you aren't in a losing position by a reasonable percentage (in crypto that's up to 40-50% even for a well balanced portfolio) then don't panic sell just perhaps hedge the alts until Bitcoin recovers and when it does it should make a swift recovery

Like come on this sub $6,000 price dip is embarrassing so hopefully it stays above that in the next few weeks and leads into a halving led recovery

Re: We are having the difficult time, are you still a Bitcoin HODL?
by
moonblocks
on 02/04/2020, 19:53:41 UTC

Since I have heard so many news and opinions from critics, I began losing.

Just use common sense when you invest it's that simple

Buy low, sell high and by low e.g. wait for red candles and oversold flashing and high when a spurt of positive price appreciation and offload then if you like short to medium term trading

Or just accumuldate at a set price point and HODL for the long haul

You pretty much can't lose when its this cheap unless there's a particularly unexpected major further downturn on the tradition stock market indexes

Also try checking this metric for some over exaggerated fundamental indicator https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/

Hello guys, i have found this coin right now and i think it is a really interessting project. Can i find something more about the developement team behind Bitcoin Rhodium? I always think this is very important to know which people are working on a project, because this feels better for me and of course this is building trust for all the investors out there. Is there anywhere a roadmap, about the future developement plans or something like that? But for now i can say i will devnetly keep an eye on this project and hope it can grow in the future.

Hi! Thanks and welcome. We would love to share all the info, the team has nothing to hide and you are free to explore all the code... but because we're building a truly decentralized anonymous marketplace for the safety of all team members and the project in general the team will stay anonymous.

You can find roadmap here: https://www.bitcoinrh.org/En/RoadMap. Also here's roadmap for FreeMarketOne: https://www.freemarket.one/#roadmap

When do you plan to have upcoming features released this year? Is there any plans for real world partnerships beyond the creation of the platform itself?
