Electrify.asia (ELEC) looks pretty interesting. Partnered with OmiseGO and won the Blockchain Asia newest company award. Have yet to do more research though...
Well tell us your price range and then can help you out. If you want under $1000 then SCUR is the one and if your budget is less than $3000 then there are plenty like Desire, Send, Phantom X etc. You can check out the masternodes.online for more information.
I'd say max $3k. Preferably a little lower... I'll check out SCUR. I've heard bad things about Phantom X and there being malware in some of the files.
What are some new/cheap masternodes that are coming out?
You can still get a NEM node for a relatively low investment. It has gone up a lot lately I rekon, but anything else is either gone (Dash) or highly risky. You may want to try leasing Waves and get fees from a pool.
How many coins are required for NEM?
I would prefer something a bit riskier. Such as a new coin coming out.

Nah, 0.05 btc isn't that much money. I would invest that into a low cap alt coin and hope for the best.

Excited for these upcoming announcements! Any ETA dev?
This is a really good project for anybody interested in learning how to set up their first masternode using amazon vps. Videos present everything clearly and walk you through all the steps. If you run into any problems telegram channel seems active as well. Nice job on the videos

Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin?

Honestly, I don't have to argue or push them to like bitcoin. The only reason why someone would not like bitcoin is because of pure ignorance. When bitcoin becomes more popular they will regret not buying early...
Cash is better than bitcoin because it is accepted by everyone while not all countries know what bitcoin is. Also, not all people know how to use it. The convenience of using your card rather than bitcoin is a big difference too.
