We recently added the following coins:

• Pegnet (PEG)

• Magi (XMG)
• Sugarchain (SUGAR)

Monero has switched to RandomX and so has Hostero. The new mining algo is ASIC and GPU ressistant as well as impossible to run on botnets. If you have Monero miners, Hostero is going to make the update automatically for you.

You can deploy a WebDollar POS miner easily following this tutorial: https://www.hostero.eu/docs/webdollar-pos-mining. Mine POS without having to keep the browser or a computer open at all times.

Thank you for the suggestions. The docker images do not contain wallet software at the moment. Wallet management is done entirely by the user.

One of the milestones is to have integrated wallet management into Hostero, and possibly host own mining pool(s), so that users don't have to leave the app.

XNV and XLS are not yet mineable on the platform. Coins that can be mined on the platform at the moment, have a Start Mining button next to them - https://www.hostero.eu/cpu-mineable-coins. Hostero is essentially a wrapper, it runs the official miner of the coins, in a Docker container.

Banano is not mineable like the rest of the coins from the list (with a POW algo), however it uses a similar principle, renting CPU power for rewards.

We can gather more information about the coins, however, for the time being, it's restricted to information paramount to the mining process. In the near future more and more information is going to be shown for each coin.

There are people with farms with old HP servers churning away. In China, they buy them by the pound. I have talked with people that have Ryzen farms as well. There are some people that mine with cloud servers.

We compiled a directory with cryptocurrencies that can be mined with CPU. The coins on the directory are eventually all going to be available on the platform. Hostero is gradually adding new coins and always looking for coins that are launched recently.

If you mine with your laptop, consider using it a capacity lower than 100% (use fewer mining threads), and make sure it doesn't get too hot.

Speculative mining would be more suitable as you are going to mine very little anyways, so it makes sense to mine newer/less established coins, in the hope their values goes up in the future. I recommend http://webdollar.io.
