As for the league and what's going on this offseason, it's unfortunate to see Mateo Retegui leave for the Saudi Pro League after being the top goalscorer last season, though which Italian club can afford to pay nearly 2x the market value? In the end, it's good business for Atalanta, especially given how much money they paid Genoa for him.
Also, crazy to see Como being that busy in the transfer window, over €100m already spent on new players...i mean, they have the richest owners in the league, so i guess it's not that shocking. It will be interesting to see if they can build on that 10th place finish.

If you have Privacy Badger (the extension), you might want to turn it off, otherwise site won't load properly.
The UI appears to have been overhauled, and i can't say i like the change. The player selection box has been shifted to the left, but when you click on it, a pop-up appears on the right side, and then you have to go back to the left again. Did two transfers and got dizzy, absolute eye-seizure. I'm afraid to check the app now and what they have done to it...lol
Had a brief look at player prices, most look reasonably priced, Salah at £14.5 million.

On a first read, i don't mind the addition of defensive contribution points to the game...can't say the same about having two sets of chips to play with though, its just too much variance and luck added...anything for the casuals, i guess. At least the assistant manager chip is gone...that's a win.

Well we are getting close and I was just doing some research and stumbled upon this nugget.

If only their entire defense had not been injured for the majority of the season. It wouldn't matter if they scored 1000 points, they weren't stopping anyone. I also had them reach the Super Bowl before the season started...in fact, i think they deserved to be there over the 49ers the year before. Curious how much losing both coordinators and Frank Ragnow retiring will set them back, and whether or not their windows have closed...

As i had mentioned earlier, I was not able to open the participated tab just like you had an issue doing.For those having trouble opening "the participated tab" to check your scores, try re-opening the jackpots page and wait for a few mins...it may load slowly, but it will eventually show your past results, at least that's what i do...just be patient.
As for this past round, i had by far my lowest score of the competition, 6/20 overall and only 1/10 on PSG vs Real Madrid questions. Heh, one could argue i didn't have the game script.
Last chance to get that increased payout for getting all 20 answers correct!

It is interesting to see that gambling companies are still allowed to be main shirt sponsors in EFL Championship next season, unlike in Premier League.
We have Unibet, CopyBet, bet365 confirmed but maybe some new partnership deals will be revealed in weeks ahead of us.

Pretty positive the ban in Premier League comes from next season 26/27.
Kinda paradoxical when you think about it...they can still be sleeve sponsors, betting partners, or whatever other main sponsor with sideline signage and in-stadium advertising boards, just not front-of-shirt sponsors. It's like trying to deal with a problem, but not really. It's stupid.
It would be funny if one of those gambling companies had their EFL-sponsored team win a promotion next season, i'd imagine their front of the shirt contract would be automatically terminated due to the ban in the Premier League.

What's up with Zalgiris? Never have they been this low in the league table at the start of the Champions League early qualifying rounds. They're like in the bottom half of the standings with half of the season already played. Did they have key players leave or idk is it financial problems? Need to know from the source hehe...I considered taking them outright but decided on FCSB -3AH instead. I expect the Romanian champions to easily win the first leg, anywhere from four to six goals...maybe even more.

Alright, entry fee sorted out...really looking forward to the new season.
Is it me, or did we have a somewhat different point system for draws last season? We used to get three points for non-exact draws, for example, if a match ended 2-2, anyone with 1-1 or even 3-3 would get three points...now it's two. Not a biggie, i just noticed it.

13/20 over here, not great but not bad either...a bounce back for me from the 1/8-finals, which was the only round i didn't make it to the prize spots.
Really would have fared with low scoring outcomes on the Chelsea/Palmeiras and Fluminense/Al Hilal matches...rather fluky btts/o2.5 imo.

The second season of "Quarterback" premieres next week, it's Goff, Burrow, and Kirk Cousins. Lol Netflix can't get enough of Big Kirko, who featured in season one. They've got NOs from most QBs, guess nobody wants to be filmed/followed around and back by a crew throughout the entire season, so they got back to him. He's fine though, as is the show in general...decent recap of the season.
That said, training camps creeping around the corner, they kick off in about three weeks and it's always interesting to follow.
The Hall of Fame game (Lions/Chargers) is at the end of the month, yup, we've got football in July.
