If we reach a point where investors will finally give up chasing anon niche coins that just aren't going anywhere it could be a very good news for DRK DASH. For example there could be many disappointed investors and traders who had high hopes of the Monero pump, but now it just seems to cool off back to its everlasting slow decline. And not to mention other coins who have lost the steam of their first speculation/hype pump and have settled down to their real low market cap valuation. Question is, how long will people keep on playing those games?
You're digging yourself a hole here. If Darkcoin's "instantx" is as good as it is claimed to be, then Bitcoin will adopt it. If not then it's not as good as claimed to be. Bitcoin might not adopt anonymity schemes, but it sure as hell will adopt something that confirms transactions faster without compromising security. Also, Monero is both transparent and anonymous, so saying anon niche is a little bit too shallow(Since it fills two areas, not one).
Are you forgetting Darkcoin's pump to $15 and fall back down to $3? Or the atrocious, "instamined" beginning distribution? Or sub-par anonymity when compared to the other anon schemes(such as Ring Signatures: Monero, ZK-Snarks: Zerocoin/cash), and much more?.
Anyone who thinks that a coin can rise to the top by offering single niche feature (lol isn't it called "transparent anonymity" not transparent and anonymous?) cannot see past their paranoid nose
IX is an explicit feature of so called 2-tier system and that's what I am investing in...
Good luck with your uber anonymity as we chug along offering more features while you and your buddies cirklejerk into oblivion...
So you went from arguing for darkcoins "anonymity", to against it? Makes sense. Kind of shows that the majority of you care nothing of Darkcoin itself, just of the little pumps and dumps that earn you money. And no it's not called "transparent anonymity", those very words joined together makes no sense and is hypocritical. It's transparent and anonymous.
Good Luck.
Against? I don't think so...
Ok it's tranparent and anonymous
So long and please take the other trolls with you

Ok so here's another one:
D(c)ash... - 'c' is silent D{c}ash D[c]ash
Then there's a marketing campaign:
We have a bunch of people each representing a certain group in a society: teenagers, collage kids, young profesionals, working class, middle class, seniors etc... So everyone buys something that's not illegal but wouldn't want to parade about that and keep it on a hush hush.. And at the end of a short video clip we have each protagonist putting a finger to his mouth in a sshhhh. fashion
I prefer using Bitfinex. I trust the security much moreso than Cryptsy. You don't have problems with deposits and withdrawals either. I recommend all Darkcoin community members to migrate to Bitfinex.
Yes BFX is the great and very pro exchange. They have quick and quality support as well. +101 for them.
fast but unclear interface and deposits, and will add that when making orders I don't know how much available balance I've got left, so I have to guess or do it on a calculater!
I have had a Bitfinex account for months. Have gone into it 3 or 4 times only to just shake my head in exasperation at how ridiculously difficult it is to understand. Now maybe it's just me and I haven't developed the knowledge yet, but compared to every other exchange I've ever used I can barely make head or tail of it. I've gone into the "How it works" section too but that hasn't enlightened me much either. Is there a video intro or guide (or something....anything!!) that anyone can point to?
The dollars on BFX I'm presently using to trade BTCUSD with, so this wall is now an invisible one in that I will support the price still at $3 if needs be, but I don't think that an actual wall is needed there atm.
While I respect your support for your chosen coin the idea of having ~400btc on an exchange scares the living shite out of me. Particulary Craptsy. Fair enough and if your willing to take that risk Im sure you have many more coins but trusting 100k to some random guys, jheeze not for me.
Yes, you have a very good point, after nearly loosing 100 BTC worth of CYN on BTer recently & quite a bit on MintPal this has been much on my mind, I may well move towards just keeping a wall up on BFX and letting the markets arbitrage out any swings on other exchanges.
That is excellent idea.. IMHO Bitfinex is a solid exchange but doesn't get any significant volume.. Keeping a wall there will force speculators to sign up. Increased volume will force "other" exchanges (BTC-e *wink*) to consider adding DRK more seriously. I never understood why after MintPal fiasco volume migrated to crapsy instead of finex..

From what we can tell there's a uncommon condition on the network (seems to be about 1 in 10 clients), where some databases have became corrupt. Please check your logs for these messages:

If you find entries like that delete ~/.darkcoin/blocks and chainstate, then resync from the bootstrap:
