Re: PRIA - Inflation Arbitrage for Traders
by
mraug
on 28/10/2020, 09:09:06 UTC
PRIA is a fully automated and decentralized digital asset that implements and manages a perpetual ultra-deflationary monetary policy favourable to inflation arbitrage by market participants. In other words, this is a swing traders token that has been born right out of the elastic supply experiments of Ampleforth and RMPL. PRIA is an ERC20 token that is exploring beyond the concepts of hyper-deflation. As such, PRIA follows an unprecedented ultra-deflationary monetary policy that is fully automated. Macro contractions and expansions are fully dictated by the smart contract and trading volume. PRIA is based on a complex concept. It is a token based on game theory, with different turns (cycles) of burning/minting supply, with free perpetual airdrops and a few other twists, like the possibility of any holder to burn other holders wallets if they are inactive (25% after 35 days of inactivity or 100% after 60 days). Currently, PRIA is a small market cap token, just under 2 mil. $, so it has a lot of room to grow. You can find more details about PRIA on the main page of the official website.

Interesting project, so the inflation and deflation is automated and the rate is dictated by transaction volume? Pretty smart.

Isn't this susceptible to automated trading? Buy when supply high - sell when supply low as the price will be dictated mainly by the token supply mechanics.

Forgot to switch off updates on one of my Windows machines and it downloaded some MS crap and broke my mining config.

I run DDU and installed latest Radeon drivers + run atikmdagpatcher but after reboot I'm getting only 16-17 MH/s on rx470 4GB.

I used to get between 26 and 29 MH/s.

Whats wrong? Also afterburner is not working anymore.

Mind that I flashed all 6 cards so theoretically I shouldn't need any afterburner tweaking. It seems almost as if the DAG issue is back for me.

edit:

Just checked in Radeon Settings, all cards are running on their preconfigured settings (1900 memory, 1090 GPU). Why am I getting only 16 MH/s???

edit2: COMPUTE MODE!!!!! damn you AMD... all good now.

Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.3

I have a problem with the 19-1.3 beta update process.

I followed these instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1854250.msg22109824#msg22109824

Once the the machine reboots, my teamviewer stopped to work. So I used putty/ssh and checked the home folder. There was no "your_old_1bash" file and when I opened the 1bash to check version number it still says v19 (not 19-1.3, it's my old v19 bash file).

Now when I try to run the update again, it just downloads some pastebin files and claims "no change".

What to do besides burning new stick?

In your 1bash, do you have this:

   AUTO_UPDATE="BETA"         # STABLE  or  BETA

It needs be set to BETA not STABLE to get to 19.1-3 by running 4update.

Hope this helps.

I did that, I followed these instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1854250.msg22109824#msg22109824

Anyway, I managed to find a workaround, I run the 2unix bash manualy with

 bash '/home/m1/2unix'

This started the v0019-1.3 update process and after reboot it was running OK.

do you have Linux GUI wallet? The Github links seem to contain only Mac/Win versions, even thought the website says "GUI Wallets available for linux, mac, and windows"

Got a rig with 6x1080ti, mining ZEC

Was doing fine for about 2 weeks but now GPU4 stops:

http://i.imgur.com/iXJoYLH.jpg

Watchdog restarts the mining process but GPU4 doesn't recover.

http://i.imgur.com/oorGsXW.jpg

Team viewer and miner freezes when I try to access the Guake terminal, but the rig is still accessible via SSH and seems like the RSS process also still works because the rig is not rebooted.

I already replaced raiser, didn't help.
I dropped OC down to ZERO both on GPU and Memory, didn't help.
I raised POWER from 180 to 230, no effect on stability.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?
try lower power  say 160

or pull the bad card run it on a tester mobo  that runs troubled cards.

Your tester mobo  needs to be able to run 2 or 3 cards  not six

and if you don't have a tester mobo buy a cheap one like this

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128980

Found the problem, it was related to the PSU connector board:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Desktop-ATX-24Pin-Dual-PSU-Power-Supply-Sync-Starter-Extender-Cable-Connector-/302285871050?epid=22006157212&hash=item4661a457ca:g:VxgAAOSwj25Y8cz6

All my rigs are dual PSU and all of them worked fine. Just this one started to act up after 2 weeks. I removed all cards from one of the PSUs and the rig crashed anyway, at that point it was clear to me it must have something to do with the PSU connector. I replaced it and it's been running now for 2-3 days.

Seems to me it's a common problem, looking at the recent posts of IAmNotAJeep.

I tried again a MSI Z270 gamining PLUS, only one gpu connected to the monitor, disabled avobe 4g memory, and it worked.
If I enable 4g, the screen gets like this http://imgur.com/a/w8sSc . Dont even reach grub.
I tried in UEFI and Legacy, and PCI gen 1 and 2.

Have you tried updating the bios on this motherboard?

Hi,

Got the same problem here.

I'm using MSI Z270-A PRO, when I enable above 4g memory in BIOS, I get that broken screen as in the link posted by Zucca. All my GPUs are Saphire RX 580.

Interesting enough, I used the same board with nvOC and 6x1080ti and did not have the problem. I'm using the latest BIOS.

Also another problem only in rxOC is that the Ubuntu doesn't recognize the network adapter on the mainboard. Worked fine on nvOC, only broken on rx0C. Any ideas?

I having second thoughts about this Vega lineup.....1070 and 1080ti are already king in ZEC and a whole bunch of ccminer algos.

Vega Gaming version even with fast HBM2 will be better?

Maybe a price tag of below $200 will change my mind...

Aren't you guys worried about the ZEC price because of speculation about the backdoor?

Are you holding all your ZEC or trading for something?

What backdoor is this?
I heard about jp morgan jumping onboard and buying up millions of tokens... but backdoor?

Rumors and speculations:

Does anyone have a problem with SRR?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but my rig keeps reseting every 2 minutes.

I see SRR option was added to the bash script, does it replace the script that I'm suppose to download from the Simple mining website?

Guys,

description on V0013 says:

"  dummy plug is no longer required "

Yet when I connect to my rig via team viewer I get a very tiny window (if no screen is connected to the GPU). Is there a workaround to this problem?

Just downloaded the nvOC zip from google drive and tried to verify it in Windows:

SHA1 hash of file nvOC_v0017.zip:
001903ab1892f76de2505baf759350be627386cd
CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.

Clearly this doesn't match the suggested hash of:
d11929368d186acf73651be1b9d90234cfe6ef8a097eff56668dee4cbbe69e8c

Was the file compromised or I'm doing something wrong?

U have to use SHA256

Right, all good.

CertUtil -hashfile nvOC_v0017.zip SHA256
SHA256 hash of file nvOC_v0017.zip:
d11929368d186acf73651be1b9d90234cfe6ef8a097eff56668dee4cbbe69e8c

Can I run some sort of update from withing the nvOS, or do I have to download a new version manually and make a new stick with it? Just thinking how would I go around managing updates for couple of rigs running nvOS...

I am working on the solution.  Wink

Hey guys

would "MSI z170a gaming pro carbon" + "Intel Celeron G3900" work with 6 x GTX 1080Ti ?

I noticed some people are putting quiet "beefy" CPUs into their rigs, can someone explain why? Does it have something to do with PCIE support?

Also @fullzero, thanks for all the work you put into this!

Re: 4U Rackmount Server Case
by
mraug
on 30/05/2017, 17:23:33 UTC
Thats basically the Unika 4U UK-4129 which can be had for ~70€

You do need to do some mods inside. Remove all the HDD trays, and make a new internal support for the cards (the default support you see in the pictures wont do).

Also, by removing the HDD trays, you lose support to screw the Frontal fans and you also lose support for the front I/O panel (usb, power and reset) so you need to put it somewhere else.

Well yes, there are plenty of "similar" cases on the market, but the magic of the RSV-L4000(4500) is that it seems to work without any major modifications.

Did you try modding the Unika case?

I've did one frankenmod of a CHIEFTEC UNC - 410F B-OP, but it took too much time and is not something you would do on a larger deployment.
