In my four years in crypto, this has easily been the most exciting and excellent encounter with a team that really knows how to build and maintain a community.
I can totally vouch for the project, I was one of the early posters in this thread and am currently mining in the alpha. It's a fantastic mining experience and works seamlessly on so many devices, I'm surprised how good the tech is working even in its early alpha stage. Join the project and let's help make this project a giant useful AI machine that spans the world!

What is the maximum number of coins there is going to be and can you use asics with this thru browser

Long answer: While not technically an ASIC, an Nvidia Volta most probably outperforms any commercially available processor for compatible deep learning computations.  If you want to try a Volta for Hadron alpha mining, please tell us how it does!  (And then send it to us!)

Are you saying Hadron can be mined using GPU? Via the browser? Or is it ASIC/GPU-resistant like Nimiq claims to be? (at least that's how I understand the information from Nimiq, I might be wrong)

Yes, HADRON coins can be mined using a GPU in your browser if you are running a modern browser like Chrome in a well supported OS like Windows 10.

Our code is GPU accelerated, but can also run without a GPU.

We are running useful AI computations in a browser, not repetitive cryptographic hash puzzles.  That gives our mining inherent value to miners and to society, in general.

Thanks for your excellent question!

Thanks for your excellent answer! That's great to know that GPUs are supported, I must say, I really love the way you're lining up the initial mining and the overall fairness of the mining process. Really excited about this project, and have my home computers lined up for Monday Smiley Hopefully I get to be one of the lucky alpha miners!

Hi! I've got my account set up and ready to mine but it says it's still in alpha in the dashboard?

My computers are:
PC: Intel i7 6-core 3.2 Ghz on Windows 10 and Geforce GTX 980
Mac 1: Macbook Pro 2017  w/ 2.8 Ghz Quad core i7 w/ Radeon Pro 555 with 2GB of GDDR5 memory
Mac 2: Macbook Pro 2017 w/ 2.9 Ghz Quad core i7 w/ Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory

Browser: Chrome mainly (but have Edge / IE / Brave too).

And an iPhone 6S Wink

Very excited about the project, hoping I was early enough to join in the alpha.

Wow this looks like a great project.

Took me a little time to find the dashboard sign-up, maybe add a create account button on the side-menu?

Also can't find you on Telegram, but I guess that's what the Dashboard Airdrop section is for... Smiley

as an investment, is it problematic for actual developers and users of the Boosteroid services that the token price goes too high?

are you expecting Apple and Google to allow your PlayMarket on their app stores?
Isn't the name in itself enough to prohibit it from being even listed?

seems like you could use quite a bit more work behind this coin before you launch it...
1 USD per token seems pretty high when you're this unprepared.

Very sorry for your loss, dev. Hope you get through it well, I've been through the same a few years ago, just stay strong.

The dev has handed over the project to the community. I have the credentials for the github and the forums. I have personally paid for the website to be under professional development, using the recommendations given by the community. Continue to mine, continue to stay strong. Once we have a good foundation, we can try to get on an exchange. Without a good foundation, going on an exchange will be a waste.

Let me know if you need the design elements, I have the logo, font and color schemes prepared.

Hi, I'm following IRD since a while now and have mined some.

I totally agree with "others" for having a strong preparation before entering market.

I do not want to make fun of the website as I truly appreciate the work and know how hard and time eater it is (I'm a multi-dev too) but I really really dislike the look, graphism and logo.

As I'm not graphic designer too, I ask if there are some in the audience to make propositions, may be rewarded for this and the webdev too, some coins make contest to do this.

As suggestion and because IRD is low supplied, why not make it look "precious", "rare", metal jewel, have a look at veritable iridium picture : it looks and is a rare metal... It is also used to stabilise the "standards" platinium meters and Kilogram : they both are Pt+Ir, so Iridium make elements "more" stable...
This are just some brainstormed ideas and I suggest everybody to post them as there are no stupid ideas.

I also notice there are only 2 pools left. Because I think we need more pools for stability, I'm almost ready to start another one, beta first and if everything is ok, as prod, with hardware evolution possibility. I'm already running a node and tests. I will start with my own server first to see loads, bandwidth and... bugs ! It will be located in France. As I do not want to concurrent others pools and also want to donate to the dev (very sorry for your lost) as discuted before so I will start with fee and dev donations and encourage the others to do it so.

Have a nice day and impatient to read your answers !

Very good input regarding the website! You make very good points. I really like the idea.
Let's see what the community thinks.
By show of vote, who would like to see the site changed to what stevebrush mentioned and who would like it to remain the same? (The site is not 100% completed. There will be more features added to it. We are talking about the style in general)

I absolutely agree with stevebrush, and i have been ranting about the same thing a couple of posts ago. We have a RARE and fair coin and we should reflect that. You got my vote to change the site to what stevebrush suggested

Who made the iri.cash site?
I was making the iridum.cc site before it went down, it had a design that reflected the rest of the design profile I made along with the logo.
This new .cash site looks awful, even the logo text is hacked.

Morning everyone, it seems our boy Mine77 has solved the issue, I will be uploading and compiling everything to the official Iridium github later today, (a few hours) and this should mean that the issue is fixed and everyone can keep the currently mined coins, I will notify you all when it's safe again to mine and thanks again for the constant support.

Great job in working this out to both Mine77 and dev!  Smiley

I also have seen no mention of why we even need this coin and what unique benefits it provides the community other than simply another coin to mine and speculate on. A whitepaper or at least some type of vision statement for the coin and its future would probably go a long way, as long as it is legitimate and not just some BS statement. The only difference I see now is that is offers a lower coin supply than other Cryptonote coins. Really? Is that the ultimate vision for this project?

I quite like the idea of a very rare coin, and it works with the name as Iridium is one of the rarest elements in the earth's crust.
This is more like gold or bitcoin, than it is a TenX style project imho.

I agree with your concern about no premining for bounties though, hopefully the dev has a good mining rig.

I'm already helping him with graphic design and the coin's profile design and website. Should help with how the coin is perceived.

Wow  Shocked

What happened to the difficulty?

The more miners, the more coin is mined, the higher the difficulty gets. I was making 1,000-2,000 per day two days ago, now, I'm not even getting above 600, with the same hashrate

Yep, I was making 10 000 per day and now only 4500/day

Bittrex is the best option in my opinion. I hope IRD will reach the half of the Monero price in 2019 Tongue than with my amount of IRD = lifetime vacations

Yeah, this is worrying me too. I made 200 coins pretty fast this weekend, but now I'm barely hitting 40-50 in a whole day of mining. Not that I have a very good mining rig, but I can't keep this up with a difficulty at this level already...

Been mining all weekend, having a blast Smiley

I'm a professional graphic designer and would love to design a logo for the project if the dev is interested.
I'll try to post some sketches if I have time this week.

I've tried other miners, but as usual, Tpuruvots miner seems to be the best. Let us know if you can get anymore power from your cuda 9 build.

Well, seems I'm getting a very slight improvement, but it's not a stable rate improvement. Getting between 447 and 450 H/S now.
