Well I bought 500 btc in at $15 around November last year  saw them shoot up to $220 within a few months where I sold. All I have to say it was the best investment I ever made, once in a lifetime but what a roller coaster it was but I got to say I am as happy as a pig in shit now thinking how lucky I have been

seems to me that the powers that be in the banking world are making life difficult to cash out, OKPAY is quitting bitcoin transaction and is going to stop doing business with all btc exchanges, GOX can not do sepa transfers fast enough so what ways are left to do business with bitcoin if one can not transfer US$ or EURO in and out of the exchanges, not to mention the Liberty Reserve fiasco

For the past 8 days the rate has been unusually steady hardly any fluctuations, I can see a pump and dump is due within the next couple of days> I expect the price to increase a moderate 5-10% more then we will see a sudden dump with a 30% fall then a steady increase as people get out their poop scoopers to collect the cheaper coins that others lost shitting their pants

Is my prediction coming true? BTC was $118 when I wrote this, now down to 110, heading below $100 I say

I have to agree with you. A sell order at the ready in the early 130s would be a safe bet.. We shall see!

Well if you look at the past red candle activity, every week or so there is someone dumping coins, maybe its a silk road trader, but its as regular as clockwork and who ever it is, is overdue for a dump to get their hand on fiat

Re: Wallet.is a service striving to succeed where instawallet has failed

Unless I'm the only person that has my private keys, and all signing is done on my computer, you are a fucking dumbass if you use this wallet because you will lose "your" coins.

You just admitted that nothing is 100% safe. Besides, do some reading.. the chrome extension for Blockchain.info is quite secure. Not bulletproof of course, but a hundred orders of magnitudes better than your current setup with is "send me coins".

Here is what WILL happen (guaranteed):

1. Operator goes AWOL, with no renewals server goes down
2. Operator disappears along with the coins in the wallet. Possibly a "hack" explanation.
3. Site actually gets hacked by someone else, you lose some or all of your coins

Don't store private keys on server.

If you don't have the private key, you don't own the bitcoins. Period.

Sorry if I'm a bit harsh, but this will end up with people losing their bitcoins to a hacker, to you, or to /dev/null.

Especially considering how the operator was registered a couple of days ago, he most likely saw how instawallet could have stole 10 million USD and wanted to scam others.

So right, I agree that if you do not control your own private keys you do not own the coins

Received a mail stating my € withdrawal was processed, too.
Still not showing up in my "pending transactions" on bank account, will update when it does.

And still no BTC either.

Could you tell when did you make your withdrawal request, I have one still pending from just before they closed down and is still pending

I did it as soon as the failover adress went public, on Apr. 26 2013 14:03 CEST

Thats interesting I have one still pending since 04/23/2013, and I have another one pending from the same time as you. does anyone else has any pending withdrawals still pending or confirmed and has anyone actually received their funds yet

Re: Recovery??

The only reason I think the sell off had slowed is because gox delayed crediting bitcoins being pulled out of cold storage. It took gox 10 hrs to credit my private wallet keys onto my gox a/c (just showing up now) which I redeemed via gox even that there was 6 cfms within 90 mins of each key being redeemed. By slowing the supply of coins coming onto the market through their exchange, they actually manipulated it. no loss to them as they stopped charging fees for 48 hrs anyway

I think that MTGOX is trying to prevent a bigger slump because I redeemed some private addresses about 4 hrs ago and only half of them have been credited so far. T think they are delaying me from dumping
