In order to see stable growth in the price of BCH/LTC/BTC,(by stable I mean it doesn't drop 50% one month after it mooned 70%) there needs to be adoption. Crypto needs to become usable on a daily basis in order to stop being seen as a wild, speculative asset.

Look into Fastcoin. Still a cheap coin that's been on market for 4 years. And whitepaper forthcoming with other things they are in process of doing. But I also know everyone here will have their own they love as well. Just saying research what they are doing.

If you’re invested in non shitcoins, then stay confident in the technology and HODL on or even DCA if you can (I know most of us can’t anymore though). It may take 3 months, 6 months, a year or even multiple years, but I believe that some of these coins will flourish in due time.

That's why you invest after researching. Based on the whitepaper, the team, the developers, the sentiment of the community. Putting money into just hype, marketing and storytelling is the easiest way to lose!! Yet, so many people continue to do it.

But there are good projects also. Look at the Lockchain for example. Thats a product where you can book hotels 15 - 20 percent cheaper than on booking dot com and even when it is still alpha, you can use it right now and save money, no strings attached. Already 20.000 hotels implemented and another 80.000 this month. That is a real blockchain project.

Just a word of caution: Do not think that eventually the market cap will go higher and my coin will recover from the dip. Its not a general rule, and if market does recover, only the stronger coins rebound from that. This process of cleansing has been happening for years. So be careful in what you invest in and if you feel there is a coin that might not recover, then consolidate your portfolio.

There is no one single reason for why it is falling. It is always a combination of many different factors. The fud around consensus being shitty is only 1 reason. It can be as simple as a rich person just decided to dump for fun without any real reason, to a large % of ppl being scared about overall market volatility.
At the end of the day, it boils down to more sellers than buyers. Instead of caring why we are dropping now, try to focus on when people will want to start buying again.

The very name of the coin did not foreshadow the benefits. In the meantime, airdrops of more promising projects (but also rare ones) could bring me several hundred bucks, while spending 5 minutes to register.

It will take at least 12 months for real confidence to return, people will want to get to March 2019 and there not be another repeat of this Jan/Feb before they start to feel confident again. People seek patterns in everything, even when they aren't there.

There’s always a regret no matter what. Great decision on a coin? Should’ve bought more. Bad decision? What a dummy. I can never be happy. When a coin shoots up I just wish it was still low so I could buy more. Now I’m stuck waiting for another dip. But fomo and I want to just buy more now. When a coin falls I worry it’s crap and don’t want to buy more bags of poop.

Development is now quite slow on Etheriumb compared to newer projects. Proof of stake is taking a very long time to implement. Whereas NEO is already using this consensus mechanism.

Yes, I'm also still bullish on Etherium as I think it has a strong first mover advantage in the smart contract dapps space. But I do see a number of risks emerging which I'll be keeping an eye on, and potentially taking some profits off the table if ETH loses ground to some of these other projects in the near future.

I always find it rather amusing that people still think they can predict where the price will be in the future, just by looking at the patterns from the past. What they ALL fail to realize is the outside forces affecting people's emotions. I never see headlines being included in the reasons for past price fluctuations. They keep trying to use age-old stock market signals, when crypto is a completely different beast.

It’s worth noting that Ethereum is still by far the dominant Blockchain for smart contracts still. Having studied the proposed scaling solutions I think the next few years could be very positive for Ethereum. We will see not only a move to a proof-of-stake (PoS) model but the introduction of concepts such as sharding (on-chain chain division), payment channels such as Raiden (off-chain trusted payments) and Plasma (sidechain smart contract blockchain pegs). Let the battle commence!

One way to find interesting ICOs is to go on different slack/telegram channels. You might meet people who can suggest you good ICOs or who will add you to a channel in which new and interesting projects are posted regularly.
