The new one uses a micro usb jack for power
...
I would tell them WTF did you shrink the power jack.

Huh They've always used microUSB for power. Maybe you're thinking of another SBC? The Pi model B form factor is pretty popular, so I could understand some confusion.

I have had power issues feeding some rasp pi.

That is a legitimate issue with the 3. Depending on how hard you're pushing it, it can be touchy with power supplies, and you should pay attention to wire gauge in your power cables. I recommend at least 24 gauge, especially when overclocking.

the Pi is drawing power from the Terminus

I can't express how much I like this. I've done similar things in my Pi-powered projects, and it really helps in tidying things up.

Hype!

I've enjoyed working with the 2Pac seconds that I got from you a couple weeks ago in my little side project. It's a low-tech diy housing intended to improve airflow over stickminers, incorporating a powered hub and Raspberry Pi 3 (with a few fun extras). Do you have a ballpark of what the approximate dimensions of the finished product might be? If I could make room for one of these babies inside the housing....

Re: [Batch 2 Pre-Order] FutureBit Moonlander 2 Official Pre-order Thread

Count me as another one wanting to buy with fiat only to miss out on the preorder. And there's no way I'm paying 2x on the 3rd party market just to play with one. Oh well, maybe some will pop up with distributors when they start shipping, like with the first batch.

On the one hand, it's nice to see such efficient hobbyist devices in high demand. On the other, it's frustrating that supply is so short that those of us wanting to enter the hobby are effectively excluded.

0.46 btc since september, most of it already invested back in the venture with pre-orders (just ordered a couple more 741s from cryptouniverse december batch).

Nice! It's always encouraging to see results from enthusiasts, rather than just the large corporate mining operations. Which pool are you on?

Free electricity Smiley

"Free" as in rent-subsidized, I assume?

Got the same issue. Its somehow due to the new firefox. I dont know the specifics but the simplest solution is to switch to another web browser. Try using Chromium. Works well for me.  Wink

Hardware acceleration. Apparently you can turn it off:

What do you guys think of this one?

https://www.amazon.com/Sipolar-Desktop-Charging-Station-Charger/dp/B01K4MZQJ8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1513537668&sr=1-1&keywords=sipolar+A-400

12V*10A, that is 120w right?  should easily run ~10 moonlander 2?  It says it can do up to 2.1A per port.  Seems like a good price for a hub that can handle 10.  Am I missing something(again)?

I've got my eye on that one, thinking of giving it a try for a small project that I have in mind. I don't have any Moonlanders (yet), so I won't be able to test with them initially.
