Bump... new links added today, including my buddy's new site that makes it really easy for newbies to buy their very first coin by just walking some cash down to a bank nearby.  Lots of good faucets.  I just added a link today to a peerbet faucet -- they transfer funds right into your peerbet account instead of transferring to a wallet, saving on fees and time!

Do you have to switch /mode to real money to get these payouts?  Or just be on the server playing/idling?

Hey guys, I just got my bitcoin info site up and running.  All sorts of links from faucet sites to wallets to exchanges to gambling/betting/game sites.  Good place to start for people new to the Bitcoin world.  Feel free to respond here if you have a link you want me to add.

All advertising proceeds will be used to fund the new faucet I'm creating at http://faucet.doctormojo.com/ which should hopefully be up and running this week, too  Smiley

I like it.  I blogged recently about a bias I noticed will small (i.e. 50) sets of (contiguous) hashes showing drastic skew, although with much larger sets (i.e. 1,000,000) this was eliminated entirely.  I will retry with this new algorithm and see if small sets show improved probability.  Thanks!

I've always liked silver coins, because of the ring they make when struck gently.  Musical.  I like how silver is photon sensitive in its nitrate form, makes me wonder if silver metal itself is watching me Wink

What happened to coinad.com yesterday?
by

I searched the forum a bit but didn't find this mentioned... First their SSL cert expired, now they're connection refused on https and only "..." on http...

Kind of ironic, yesterday was the first time I was able to get a single "Offer" completed on there, worth 418 "BitPoints"... I converted that to a whopping (for me!) 0.0206 BTC, and hit cash-out immediately.... I actually received it, promptly, before the website went down lol...

I was liking their new chat system, where you could win 0.00001 BTC for every chat message sent (35% chance) Smiley  I got all those prizes too, with my 0.0206 BTC cashout...

I'm thinking their wallets went to zero 'cause of the new chat!

Any rumors?

You bet, will do that now.  Just a thought -- crappy internet in alaska, goes out (and when it's on, 10%-20% packets are lost) -- does your app properly handle loss of network after login?

Will report back!

I installed the update apk today (the one you announced yesterday I believe) but now I get force-closes after login.  It draws the three menus at the bottom (Profile/Raffles/Chat I believe) but FC before any raffles are displayed.  I tried three times, and it happened each time... prior version didn't Smiley

I'm running android 2.2.2, it's an LG Thrive (LG-P506).

Thanks!

Love it!  It's a fun idea and the site is clean and slick, and the android app works great.  It's got a small installation footprint as well, perfect for my puny phone Smiley Thank you!

I just tried LTCMiner (CGDROID requires 4.0.3+) on my 600 MHz phone and got, on average, *5* hashes per second Cheesy

Ironically, my best performer is my Core 2 Duo L7500 @ 1.6GHz...  about 3.6 Mh/s... lol Smiley  I've got a Sun Fire rack mount server getting only 1.2 MH/s on one CPU, so it'd be about 2.4 MH/s if I ran on both cores...   funny that my little thinkpad is beating it.  On the thinkpad, and my other windows boxes, I'm running ufasoft's miner, and on the Ubuntu boxes I'm running jgarzik's cpuminer.  All CPU mining, no GPUs capable yet...
