This might be a dumb question, but could anyone point me in the right direction for what we are currently mining and what algo? I have 5x 750ti's and I was on scrypt, now I'm on x11 just mining multipool since I'm so out of the loop lately on what to mine, how to mine, and with what miner to be running. I'm currently using CCMiner1.0 or 1.1. Also what driver is everyone using now and still on x11? Just wondering what Is most efficient for mining now. Thanks so much in advance!

My setup:
5x 750ti's
Windows 8.1 Pro
Driver Version 335.23

Anyone else mining to nicehash.com using the x11? I am not sure if it's working and I wanted to verify with someone else real fast. I'm not seeing any results but the miner appears to be working. Left it running for an hour and no results still.

So does anyone know why cudaminer isn't supported here. It's worked for me for a while and never seems to really fail but my numbers on the site don't appear to be counting all my power lately. I should be mining at around 2,200 Kh/z but it's only counting around 1,200 atm and seems to be this low all the time lately. My miners are mining just fine but the only thing that looks fishy is that my sgminer with my 7970 is always saying request work restart. Is that normal at all? Trying to figure out what's wrong here. So inconsistant!! It always ran at a constant rate when I was mining DOGE so does that mean it's not my miner?

So we should still be using cudaminer if we're mining scrypt it looks like (trying to catch up with all the updates). Should we even be mining scrypt anymore or has everyone moved on to the ccMiner algorithms?

cudaMiner Algorithms: scrypt, scrypt-jane, scrypt-N, keccak, blake (github version only
ccMiner Algorithms: HeavyCoin, MjollnirCoin, Fugue, Groestl, Myriad-Groestl, JackpotCoin, Quark, AnimeCoin, X11/DarkCoin (very soon...)

Anyone else getting major rejection rates? I'm mining with cudaminer on some 750ti's and SGMiner 4.1.271 with my 7970. My cudaminer was reporting like 50% accepted and rejected and my sgminer keeps saying things like requested worker restart and very few rejected but the Diff is constantly changing. I normally mine at 650KH/z WU with my 7970 in SGMiner but it's been fluctuating a lot lately and is kind of hanging around 550-600 for some reason.

A ccminer v0.6 source code release was made, adding myriad-groestl (the table based groestl implementation like in the SPH library) and a jackpotcoin implementation.

My jackpotcoin implementation computes only the keccak portion of the JHA hashing algorithm and throws away 7 out of 8 hashes. This is way faster than computing the remaining rounds for the hashes that I am throwing away Wink  jackpot is now a CUDA coin it seems, and it is fit for solo mining. Quick, the AMD miners are going to catch up soon.

Christian

Thanks. I am mainly doing this for educational purposes, so I am not very concerned about the AMD miners.
msvcr100.dll just download that ddl for your version of windows x64 or 32 also you need another dll .
Not following you...what other .dll do I need?
Yeah I am just now getting this error as well on the mining rig that I literally just finished installing Windows 8.1 on to start mining with 5 x 750ti's with. Any ideas how to fix this?http://i.imgur.com/wZJV98L.png

Hey so I know the basics of mining and how to mine. I have a 7970 I'm mining with in my main desktop and I am just now getting a separate rig with 5 x 750ti's (EVGA 02G-P4-3753-KR GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked 2GB) and I want to know how everyone would do this start to finish. I mine with cudaminer and lately I've heard about cudamanagers and stuff. I've tried over clocking my cards but they end up crashing shortly after starting. I don't know how to mine other than with how the cards come. Also what over clocking software do you guys use? I tried EVGA Precision X and that's kind of dificult becuause it only adds to the clock rather than setting the clock speeds. I am currently mining DOGE with Rapidhash. What is everyone mining and should I switch. I'm looking for some current information. All that I've seen is not up to date for what to do right now. Any help/updated information on mining would be great. I've tried reading previous pages but not sure I understand it all. Oh and what is the deal with all these new types of code Grostle, X11, Keccak? Should we be mining one of these now or what?

--gpu-platform #number  (you need to run sg/cg with a flag which will dump the mapping of the card... don't remember which param though
So do you mean --gpu-platform #0 based on this device manager pic or how do I figure this out? and what do you mean run it with a flag? I'm sorry I am apparently a complete noob with all this stuff and I thought I at least knew some things lol.

Great now I'm getting this error again on 2 cards instead of on just 1.
http://i.imgur.com/QKLXe7N.png

And now 10 minutes later it's happening on 3 cards! Is my computer killing these cards off slowly?

put core +106 mem +366
On the bottom of the utility you should see the core clock and mem clock.
Alright we're in business! Unfortunately they aren't as high as I was hoping for these cards and GPU 2 is still being a party pooper and crashing on me and then only mining at 33Kh/s and here's my bat file. D:\Software\Miners\cudaminer-2014-04-12\x86\cudaminer -H 2 -i 0 -l T5x24 --url stratum+tcp://stratum.rapidhash.net:3333 -u User.Worker -p Password

Would you say that one card is bad or something else wrong? I guess I could figure it out when I get home and I can play with the riser and the card and maybe switch it around to see if I can get it to perform correctly. Thanks so much for your help btw. I've poored too many hours trying different clock speeds and different profiles (is that what the T5x24 is? It's called a profile?).

And lastly, I'd like to get my 7970 back to mining now but it says something about there being a bunch of cards on the computer and I think it would mine if in the bat file I pointed it directly at the card to mine with but I don't know how to do that in my SGMiner. Any ideas? Here's what I have in my bat file for the 7970.
http://i.imgur.com/izcUFcE.png--gpu-engine 1035 --gpu-memclock 1725 --gpu-fan 60 --intensity 13 --gpu-powertune 20 -g 2 --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192
How much do I add on top of the card's clock speeds do you know? I'm using EVGA so it's either plus or minus clock speeds and not set clock speed to x amount.

I have been using the card reviews at TechPowerUp.com for getting a good baseline on what the card can be OC'd up to.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_750_Ti/28.html (just find the card you have)

I am not exactly sure how they come to their settings, but they have put me right in the ballpark for both of the cards I have right now.

Their reviews are extensive, and the overclock info page has the GPU-Z screenshot of their overclock settings.

I have found that everyone using the +100/+500 terms varies so much based on the card you are using and if it comes out of the box with any OC settings is kind of useless unless you have that exact same model of card.

My MSI 750ti OC 2GB running at their recommended 1145 MHz GPU/1675 MHz Mem and for 3 of my 4 cards that works flawlessly (~295 khash/s). Card 3 seems to not be able to handle that, but I scaled it back a bit until it was stable and figure it is just not a perfect card, but haven't had time to delve any further into that.

I also have two MSI 750ti TF 2GB running at 1210 MHz GPU/1675 MHz Mem. These are hashing out faster than the OC model, and run a good 14 c cooler even at the higher speeds (~325 khash/s).

Unless you have the exact same model the other people's settings will drive you nuts not being able to match... it took me a good two weeks to understand why I couldn't match the settings others were using, but it was because my card was pre-oc'd and only needed another +31MHz on the GPU to get the same settings.

Hope that helps.
That is some pretty good information! I appreciate that. Thanks.

Put on all T5x24 , run the 4-12 version  , overclock them to 1250mhz core and 3100mhz ram and you will have about 300 for all. And run x86 version the most important.
I have 6x750ti overclocked and set to T5x24 and that is the optium , If you try all different cards with different setting you will end up crazy.

wow that worked and they were all mining around 270 base clock and then within a couple minutes it started failing so I think I'd maybe need to change the clock speeds like you recommended. How much do I add on top of the card's clock speeds do you know? I'm using EVGA so it's either plus or minus clock speeds and not set clock speed to x amount.

Alright so I need some help. I am getting soo irritated trying to get these configured. This is what I'm getting. I have an 850w PSU and 5 x 750ti's and running the 2-28 and the new 4-12 version of Cudaminer. Please help. I have got GPU 3 to work the hardest so far out of all of them getting right around 300Kh/s but now it is not doing well. I am running 335.23 and USB powered risers. It also runs like this without overclocking at all. I have seen my total around 1400-1475 for a brief period of time but then it dwindled down to what we're seeing now. I don't get it. I have a 7970 in there that I'd like to get going too once I figure out the 750ti's but it's not doing anything as of yet just an fyi.

Here you go: http://cryptomining-blog.com/1998-download-the-latest-build-from-source-of-cudaminer-for-windows/

And it solved the problems for me. I did have to run the version 2014-2-28 for 670 though. For some reason this hew version makes it run slower. But my 750ti's are humming along like they were before.

That's what I did as well.  I run the 2-28 version for my 650 Ti BOOST and the newer version for my 750 Ti.  Did see a slight (less than 1%) bump in khs on Scrypt with the new version using the same clock settings.  I'm still closing in on the 300khs speed, up to 297khs running stable at 65C now.
So what settings are you using for your 750ti? I am running the EVGA 02G-P4-3753-KR. My miner seems to crash all the time and I have just now figured out a more stable situation...and as I typed that it crashed after about 9 hours of running. my miner does this for not sure how long (image below) and continues to mine with the remaining cards that didn't crash until the PC completely crashed and I powercycle it manually.
http://i.imgur.com/kFHaBIm.png
I am running 335.23 Drivers and the 2014-2-28 miner and my settings look like this. Will paste them in when I get home and turn my computer back on. And now that I see the new CudaMiner is available (Why is it not on the 1st post in this forum) I will download and check what results I am getting and see if they keep crashing.

So what is this Grosel stuff people are talking about? I'm still here mining DOGE and not up on the latest with what to be mining. What are we mining now? Great work on the CudaMiner btw  Wink

that's Gröstl.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Tiroler_Gr%C3%B6stl_Herrsching.jpg/220px-Tiroler_Gr%C3%B6stl_Herrsching.jpg

it's also a finalist of the NIST SHA-3 hash function competition. Gröstl is an Austrian dish, but because the hash function has Danish co authors, they replaced the ö with an ø like in Smørrebrød

the hash function is important because it is part of Quark and X11 - and it appears that in particular X11 will play a major role in the future (when ASICs have ruined scrypt for GPU miners)

Christian

So how is Gröstl different from Scrypt -N since that's ASICS resistant as well? This might all be old news so any way you could maybe just point me to a previous post that explains all this so I don't keep asking dumb questions? I also have no idea what Quark and X11 is so I will have to read up on that as well. I feel so behind lol. Also I am running Windows, is this stuff linux only or windows as well?
