Hello,
Any ETA for cryptonightR update ?

saw some post on reddit yesterday or so, that they were expecting a version about today, lets see if that one is just as great as for the current CNv8!

I'm really surprised by the performance of your miner! It gives hashrate 440 h/s while XMRStack on the same overclocking gives only 370 h/s! Thanks a lot!
After some time I switched again to XMRStack because of its better stability. Your miner needs more sophisticated adjustments. It is suitable to have stable configurations for popular GPUs inside your software.

Huh atm  stak is definitly not the best / easiest one to configure, and with less tweaking u ll get alot more hash and hash/watt from TRM. TRM needs a bit other clockings than common, but 20% more hash (atleast reading above on same clockings) is worth it  Lips sealed

Hello everyone, can somebody help me with RX580 8gb Saphire NITRO+, I only get 930mh/s on XMR  my clock is 1200 gpu  950mV   and  2100 memmory 900mV autoconfig is L8+8

guess you have to play with your memory clockings, guess lower might help you here, as well as your GPU clock might be a little low. Maybe start with the default clocks and see what that gives. and Try without the L?

Cost wise it would save me 10 dollar/year, as my power is about 0.20 dollar / kWh.
if your power costs $0.2 then you're already losing money mining coins that buying them.

You are totally right! although it saves on heating my home. Guess atm you only earn a bit when you got 'free' power from somewhere.

For who is interested:

Running on a RX570 4GB ITX, CC 1075 MC 775 MC 1910 MV 787, getting 870 h/s reported, maybe 860 h/s at the pool, using 86.5 watt at the wall (minus mobo draw without card installed) (CNv8). (max hash is about 920 h/s or so for this card, but it uses about 112 watt (just without mem errors etc)

about 3 mem errors / hour (2.5 hour test run), non hw in the miner. Voltages are ridiculously low, especially for TRM. Determined these odd clocks and voltages using SRB to give the most hash/watt, (and no mem errors), and then tried them as well for TRM. SRB 1.7.0 gets 9.4 h/w, TRM 0.3.8 almost 10.0 h/w. Was surprised TRM did not crash on these low voltages, as at higher core clocks it needs the power.

Cost wise it would save me 10 dollar/year, as my power is about 0.20 dollar / kWh.

So TRM can be a decent competitor, when some more features will be introduced  Kiss, and the dev fee goes down just a tickle more  Grin

Hello
I do not have any memory errors in HWinfo, but I get SRBMiner Compute error, can someone help me?
Widows: 10 x64 (1803)
Driver: 18.5.1
VGA: Asus ROG Strix RX480 8G Samsung Memory Patched UBERMIX 3.1.1
Thanks

maybe some Core clock issues, drop it 25 Mhz or try raising power by 12mV

Just something I noticed:

Running a RX570 4GB in combo with 3 RX550 2GB results in ~10% less reported hash on the RX570
Default core voltages of 1150mV for at least the RX570 can be of an issue and give clearly lower hash rates (~20%, or no hash at all) compared to other settings with like 1000-950 mV

Is there a reference setup for RX574 ?

maybe something like (using 8+7):
1244   937   1900   900  (965 h/s, 113 W) (really stable power draw compared to the other settings which have +5 +10 W peaks)
or
1100 912    1900 900 (865 h/s, 101 W)

still figuring stuff out, but higher mem clocks dont show a gain, or cause a drop, and voltage is important, if the hash stops, increase it by 25 or 12 and try again.

As mentioned above a little higher voltage needed than for say SRB, which I was running at:
1175   812   1750   800 (833 h/s, 92 W)

Its a 'bad' card based on previous xmr-stak and SRB results, compared to the other cards I have.

Anyone have a good example of watchdog.bat? I have a gpu that drops occasionally and I'd like to stop the miner gracefully and restart it...or handle it like SRB does.

This is where it gets a little tricky, it depends on how your rig(s) behave on a dead gpu. When I push my Vega 64 on my workstation too hard to test clocks etc I get such a hard hang that I need to cycle the PCIe root hub just to get a prompt back in order to reboot, the gpu looks ok but it's dead. Never had such a hard hang on any other setup. For my Polaris cards on the same workstation, the driver handles the reset just fine by itself and I can just do a simple restart of the miner after setting clocks. So, if I were to handle this with 100% success on this specific workstation with a single script, I would need the hard reset+reboot version.

For the simple use case of a gpu drop that the driver recovers from, I would use two bat files, one that starts the miner with your normal args, then a watchdog restart script with a delay. When the watchdog script is fired, the miner will always shut down as well.

start.bat
Code:
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1

rem Set clocks for all GPUs here

teamredminer.exe -a cnv8 -o stratum+tcp://pool.supportxmr.com:7777 -u 479c6JsyawEVAMNZU8GMmXgVPTxd1vdejR6vVpsm7z8y2AvP7C5hz2g5gfrqyffpvLPLYb2eUmmWA5yhRw5ANYyePX7SvLE -p x --watchdog_script=watchdog.bat

watchdog.bat
Code:
@echo off
echo Watchdog restarting miner in 30 secs.
timeout /T 30
start_cnv8.bat

Remember: to test your watchdog script, add " --watchdog_test" to the command line args. In the case above, that would trigger an endless cycle of restart after ~20 secs of mining.

maybe you can add the above to the 1st or 2nd post in this topic too, thanks!

Just a little headsup for the ones with a rx570 4GB, I increased the hashrate with +/-50 h/s by using W8 instead of W16, v1.7.0, on various cards with various clockings. All the options in between gave me errors or reboots or crashes. Power consumption seemed to increase too by 10 watts or so, for both stable clocking sets for 800 mV and 875mV. (SRBPIMP straps).

Hi we have a new triton pool up at codpools.com come check us out 0% fees!

A guy from https://trit.codpool.com/ helped me out getting the stuff to work together with https://tradeogre.com/, so I dont have the wallet hasle. Project looks promising, and I like the idea with eSports and streaming behind it! Lets see if it can be some independent platform!
