Hi Guys,

I am Camille the founder of Galerie Penelope, a French antique jewelry online shop.

I have just launched the possibility to pay there with crypto currencies BTC after a customer asked me about it for his proposal ring.

What do you think about this initiative? How do you think I could improve it? Would you be concerned?

Many thanks for your help, your feedback is much appreciated / sorry for my English: I am French and new in this forum, be kind  Wink .

Hello, this silver-made amazing pendant is available at 500$. We will definitely use an escrow service. The one I will send you doesn't have the gemstone becuase it's illegal to ship gemstones from my country. It can be the perfect gift for your loved ones.

I sell high-quality Persian saffron only available at 3$/grams. You can at least resell it in your country at 6-10$/grams.

Different payment options with escrow available. Forum escrow available.

PM me for further details if interested.

There is no such thing,,, and if someone tells you there is, it is not true.

Think about it. All these sites giving signals charge you money for it, or use you to advertise all sort of products and services. If the signals were really very accurate, why would they sell it or share it? If they can even make 0.5% a day profit guaranteed, even without compounding they can double the bankroll every 6 months.

I partially agree with you...

Hello

I am currently minting Litecoin and I need a website to read daily predictions for Litecoin price. There are many websites out there but can you suggest one with high rate of accuracy?

Do you make more money if you have a more expensive PC as a node rather than a simple Raspberry Pi? How does your system hardware affect your lighting node’s income?
I dont think the hardware will effect it. Its relevant, that user use the route over your node.
Important is that your node is online 24/7

It's only relevant when you have thousand active channels or you also run your server/payment processor on PI's as well where your PI's isn't powerful enough.

BTC Balance on your channel is also important, otherwise you might not have enough BTC to route a transaction.

How does your btc balance affect routing? I can’t understand. Do you need some btc to open channels?

What is the minimum amount of funds you should have?

It’s more difficult than what it seems and as other said not in the spirit of decentralization

For lightning, you use your own keys, on your own wallet, on your own node. You can't get more decentralised than that

It is not truly decentralized when there are so limitations!

Should one have funds in his node to relay transactions?

Having funds in the node's on-chain wallet is not enough. You have to open channels to other nodes and have someone open a channel to you.

Does the total number of your node’s channels depend on your funds?

No. It's up to you with who you will open a channel. Some nodes reject channels under a certain value specified in the config.

My conclusion is that using a voltage stabilizer is not a good solution as well as a UPS

Unfortunately odds are the PSU's feeding your miner may not like that long of a dropout. I know mine didn't.

At home I ended up using dual-conversion UPS's like the Tripplite SU6000RT4UHV—6kVA that are always online changing AC > DC > AC and have zero transfer time.

What happened to yours?

Can we use a UPS instead of an stabilizer?

What are altcoins backed by?

To explain more, for e.g., we hear that the USD was backed by the convertibility of this currency to precious metals until 1971. Now, what are altcoins backed by such as Ethereum or Litecoin? Are mathematical calculations performed by ASIC miners any useful in the real world?

Re: To overclock or not to overclock, that’s the problem

Overclocking's just fine so as long as you don't push voltages too far as nc50lc said. Some softwares like Blissz's firmware for the L3+s automatically calibrate to the lowest stable voltage for an overclock, and you can also manually calibrate voltages on software that doesn't do this for best performance. As long as you're running the miner in normal conditions and keeping up with maintenance like occasionally clearing out dust for optimal thermal performance as needed, nothing bad should happen.

Where can I find more info about periodical maintenance? That was interesting and Blissz software was also interesting.

dust and humidity are more damaging then voltage issues.

I meant to ask  are you running a lot of s15's or mostly m10's

We had the one report of some dead s15 psu's running in the 240-245 volt range

2 maybe 3 on this site.
I am mostly m10's myself no psu issues.

I know you run lots of gear I wondered if you have tested enough s15's to form an opinion on them.

I am not running many miner but planning to do so soon.

The suggestion is dont waste the money because it will do nothing for you.

The PSU IS the voltage regulator for the miner. That is why they have a variable input range but always output a stable voltage. Whether you feed a PSU 210v or 240v, the DC output will still be the same.

You should double and triple check what you hear, especially on the internet, because whoever told you that is pretty clueless.

What kills ASICs is poor environmental management 99 times out of 100

Any info on the fact that the psu regulates the voltage?

Hello. I am planning to start my own farms using ASICS. I am looking for any suggestions on using voltage stabilizers/regulators since I’ve heard that one of the main reasons in degrading ASICS is voltage transient. Any suggestions on it? Is it really worth it?

Are you sure that overclocking doesn’t degrade it? Any references for more info?
Sure: https://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/723980-Truth-about-CPU-degradation

Even not overclocked, it will degrade overtime; reducing the heat (whether overclocked or not) will just decrease the rate.

Take note: It's for a PC forum but most ASICs are basically made of boards with micro-processors used for making mobile phones or hybrid tablets.
Processors are processors whatever the architecture anyways.

I agree that it degrades overclocked or non-overclocked but the pace at which it degrades should not be the same. Agree?
