This is another hardware wallet that is impossible to find....

   https://techcrunch.com/2015/05/04/case-is-an-insanely-secure-hardware-bitcoin-wallet/

Was lucky to nab one a few years back but have never seen again for sale

Very cool, don't remember that one. Is there a full master list of all BTC hw wallets anywhere? I've always collected hw wallets and given so many away as gifts. I've always used Trezor for my own funds.

I like https://www.keevowallet.com, have one of the Founder Edition models, not sure if they're still active.

i hope at some point a brand new type of buyer enters who see these 1.0 btc coins as bragging rights to their friends, hopefully celebrities and sports players. I still have great confidence that premiums on high denomination coins will come back, i mean sh!t if baseball cards can make a comeback decades later then these highend coins are still very special imo.  just me 2 cents

I think it's more to do with the premium being priced in BTC vs $. Cas Silver and Gilts regularly went for 2-3btc back when BTC was just a couple hundred $'s. Now you'll be lucky to even get 1.1BTC because .1BTC is worth a lot more than 1-2btc back in the active Cas trading days.

⭐ Merited by OgNasty (2)
I'd like to know how many people sent BTC, probably not that many.
Mike did a lot for btc and physicals back in the day so I wouldn't call him a piece of shit. Also you're making it personal referring to his wife, etc which seems weird.
I have no skin in the game but unlike losing money on Alitin, Titans, etc.. I've never had a Cas Coin compromised.

Wasn't the .1 Cas Silver the rarest produced, maybe version 1? I'm trying to remember if anyone else does.

I'd just redeem it and sell the physical after you've secured the BTC. The premium is so low and those of us that still have Cass coins have no idea if the private key is still legible under the Holo until we actually pull them. They are amazing collectibles but the higher the BTC $ price the lower the premium and eventually it's just not worth it with shipping, etc..

I'm looking for a discount on this of at least 7-11%

Oh, what a relief, you're just looking for a 11% discount, and here I was trembling in fear you might want to scam me, really shows how easy it is to mistake people's intentions, you for wanting to scam somebody and me for trolling you.
I'm having second thoughts now, maybe a buddy of mine in Midlands would be able to help, since you're fee to travel he lives around  B77 4LA , that's close to Scammerton in Tamworth.

Okay looking at spot price for them then

Why would anyone even sell to you at spot? USD can be frozen in any bank account in minutes by authorities. Bitcoin is where the rich will eventually put their money to avoid divorce settlement, estate tax, wealth tax, etc.. It's already happening.
Call someone at Gemini, or Coinbase and ask if you can buy OTC.

The Titanium Blocks by BTCC, 25btc, or 12.5btc block rewards in a titanium block. Or Kialara Thuglife $100bill, I think there's only like 7 of these made.

Did you end up selling the 25btc Cas? Kind of a cool method to sell via NFT. A hefty premium but interested to see if this went through.

As a holder of numerous BTC physicals I think the market for selling is all but dead. The value of BTC is too high to transact via traditional methods and there doesn't seem to be any demand for physicals or cold storage BTC. When I bought, I always intended to hold, and pass them on to my kids to peel. Physicals are a conundrum because they have a higher BTC premium the lower the fiat value, so you'll never recoup your BTC, and most have realized that. I spent 17btc for a Cas 10, and so on, so would have been better off just saving the BTC on paper wallet for my kids, but I"m damn glad to have the Cas 10 and there are no regrets.

Do most collectors here find Cas coins to have more value if they are slabbed (graded)? Also, on a side note, does anyone have recommendations for grading 1BTC and higher Cas coins? Would it be better to just do it in person at the grading company HQ? I would not feel comfortable sending a 10btc Cas anywhere at the current price. Thanks.

Graded is definitely helpful when selling, more so with a lesser known seller.   Besides giving an indication as to the condition of the coin when slabbed, It also shows that at least since the coin was slabbed it has most likely not been handled or exposed to contaminants.

For grading 1 btc and above I would just fly to St. Pete, Florida and have them graded by ICG in person.

Would you recommend ICG over ANACS?

Every peeled coin drives up the remaining value.  In 10/20/50 years they’ll all be worth 5x BTC price. Leave for the next generation.

If you disagree I’m not sure why you wouldn’t sell all your coins right now.

5x btc price or 5x $$ price?

I believe there will come a day in the fullness of time where it will cost 5 bitcoins/the equivalent value in whatever currency to acquire a funded Casascius 1-bitcoin graded 69, 70.

This seems laughable now but eventually they will come to be seen as royal treasures, Crown Jewels of private and museum collections.  It might be 50 years or 100, but these will be wonders to behold someday.  The supply will steadily dwindle until there are just a few hundred scattered across the earth

Could happen but I don't think premiums will ever be that high. If BTC drops to $100 in 50 years, then yes. If it's the reserve crypto currency, then no way someone will pay $500k (example) for a $100k worth coin.

UPS with brown tamper tape, don't even declare value, just send it and it'll get there, make an arrangement with buyer and escrow to split btc if it's lost, tracking will show if something happens. I've had 10btc Cas shipped to me no prob. High declarations/insurance draws the most attention. Otherwise Fedex overnight. Wait til spring/summer, snow can mess up deliveries. There's always a chance, but it's pretty rare.

It's a great coin but probably best just keeping or peeling. You'll never get a $100k premium. The more $ BTC is worth, the less BTC premium Cas coins demand.

I'd be interested in the 10btc, although not sure on the premium when thinking about it in terms of fiat. Will probably be hard (and not worth the risk) to sell even a 1btc Cas once BTC hits $100k+. On a side note, what is your recommended method to friends for sweeping the physical coins? Always like to hear about different methods. Thanks

Well don't worry by the time we get pics of any of these including the 10BTC, BTC might just be 100k. As for sweeping here you go bud...
