Infinitecoin Core v0.14.8.0 released
https://github.com/infinitecoin-project/infinitecoin/releases

New consensus! Fixing the network magic number.

All Infinitecoin Core users - miners, services, relay operators and wallet users are required to upgrade

The original developer of Infinitecoin used the same network magic number as Litecoin, which caused node mixing cross-connection.

- Fixed the network magic number enforcement time to be 2025-07-07 12:00:00 UTC

- Everyone must close the old version wallet before the preset time!!!

- This version can only effectively connect to the node if it is run after the preset time! See github

- Qt: Disable milli and micro units, introduce kilo and mega units.

- Qt: Enable coin control features by default.

We will fix the issue of magic number conflicts between IFC and LTC networks in the near future
Please cooperate with all mining pools to shut down IFC mining on a certain day

Hi guys.. any idea why my synch is stucked? I just installed the new wallter version and wanted to synch.. but it says 0 active connection and i have to synch the last 2 years.. will this move forward?

Please use the latest version
https://github.com/infinitecoin-project/infinitecoin/releases
After January 14, 2024 (block height 9849600 activates the new consensus), you cannot use outdated versions, otherwise your block data will be damaged. You need to delete the damaged block data and synchronize the block data from 0.
Note: Do not delete the wallet.dat file!

I was originally just a person who was enthusiastic about helping everyone master blockchain knowledge using the core wallet. Later, I became a community leader. Later, I was forced to become a developer because idiot developers will be bought.

I can activate the new network magic number based on the timestamp, but I need to restart the core wallet to take effect.
How can I achieve the goal without restarting? Please help! Thanks

For example:

if (time(NULL) >= 1725868500) { // GMT: GMT: Monday, September 9, 2024, 7:55 AM
// new message header (New consensus network magic number)
pchMessageStart[0] = 0xfa;
pchMessageStart[1] = 0xbe;
pchMessageStart[2] = 0xc0;
pchMessageStart[3] = 0xde;
} else {
// old message header (IFC and LTC network magic number are the same, resulting in mixed node connections)
pchMessageStart[0] = 0xfb;
pchMessageStart[1] = 0xc0;
pchMessageStart[2] = 0xb6;
pchMessageStart[3] = 0xdb;
}

Help: How to modify the pchMessageStart parameter based on the timestamp, since the coin I'm developing uses the same network magic number as LTC.

As a developer, I don’t want any mining pool or miner to monopolize DOGM and IFC mining.

I have these, although they are a little expensive, their performance is very good.

Welcome to mine IFC
I am the current IFC developer and the founder and developer of DOGM.
I don't want any mining pool or miner to monopolize mining IFC and DOGM.
And you can find IFC+DOGM+DOGE combined mining in many mining pools.

Hello Admin
Request add Infinitecoin (IFC)
Scrypt  pow
Block Reward 20,000 IFC

Infinitecoin is an open source cryptocurrency founded on June 5, 2013 and publicly released on bitcointalk and github. It initially adopted the block reward rules of Bitcoin and Litecoin, with a fixed maximum total amount of 90.6 billion, algorithm Scrypt, and block time of 30 Second. However, premature loss of block rewards faces death threats. Starting from September 22, 2022, Infinitecoin tried to implement a reform plan with a fixed block reward of 1,000 IFC, but the results were minimal. On January 14, 2024, the final reform plan was implemented under the consensus of the majority of the community. The block reward was from 20,000 IFC to 10,000 IFC and then to 5,000 IFC. The block reward will be halved in 2 years. The final block reward is always fixed at 5,000 IFC. The first Infinitecoin is preparing to equal the total supply of Dogecoin in 4 years to ensure that the market has enough chips for transactions. The second is to ensure that the block reward will always be the same as Dogecoin, DOGE:1440X10000=IFC:2880X5000, but Infinitecoin is POW and Dogecoin is AUXPOW. This change in the block reward rules is inspired by the method used in Dogecoin.

As of now, the blockchain size of DOGM is only 54.8 GB, while the blockchain size of DOGE has reached 165 GB.

Dogecoin needs to solve the problem of being easily attacked by large-scale dust!

Dogecoin is very vulnerable to dust attacks. Although the mining pool with the largest computing power has raised the dust threshold, other small mining pools have not set it.
When a large-scale dust attack is launched, it will not only cause ordinary people to transfer money for a long time without confirmation, but the more serious problem is that the blockchain will be bloated too quickly!

Based on the current 1 DOGE price, less than 0.1 DOGE must be set to dust.
Minimum transfer out 0.1 Minimum change 0.1 Transfer fee 0.1
Reject coins below 0.1 DOGE written to wallet.dat
Reject coins below 0.1 DOGE from entering the mempool

As a fan who once held more than 500 million DOGE, I think Dogecoin has a chance to surpass Bitcoin in the future.

Good luck to Dogecoin!

According to research, if mining pools merged mining DOGM, the probability of DOGE, LTC or IFC grabbing blocks will be greatly increased! ! !

According to whose research?
Sources please.
You should be able to see the screenshot, this is a test done on my mining pool.
You can also use the miningpoolstats website to query.
