Nice to see something a little more original. All the the copy & paste contracts have been getting annoying. Everything seems to be working as it should but its odd that etherscan.io isn't showing all the out going payments correctly, but on etherscan if you look at the hash for incoming transactions you can see the payments are being made.

I just noticed that the outgoing transactions aren't showing on etherscan, too. I don't know why, but I've already received payments and some people are going in hard and reinvesting, so it seems to be working well. I made sure to test the code plenty on my private net; only had a couple issues before the official release because of some last minute changes, but I discarded the broken contracts

Can anyone tell me why someone would want their smart contracts running on Counterparty instead of Ethereum? Is there any advantage besides the security of the Bitcoin blockchain vs the security of the Ethereum blockchain?
From a token/asset view point there are some differences. In Counterparty, the tokens are "Global" meaning that anyone can view the tokens transaction, balances, credits/debits easily as it is encoded on a protocol level. In Ethereum (at the moment), the tokens are part of a "smart contract", they are not "global" in sense. Token/Asset names in Counterparty are unique, where else duplicate token names can be used in Ethereum if they are part of a different contract.
I don't particularly think one is better than the other. Each has its own use cases
Are there possible make option to search all transactions between two address?
If you are referring to just 2 specific addresses, then no. At least not out of the box. Having said that though you could use the APIs and generate a list of transactions for each address, and then programmatically just extract those matching your search criteria.

What happened to xdp and xch on blockscan ?
For dogeparty you can use https://dogepartychain.io/ as a substitute. XCH support was discontinued a few months back due to a low visitor rate (from a Blockexplorer viewpoint)

So it seems the wallet thinks there are two blocks with the same number but a different hash on the network...
Thats quite a problem...
These are most likely due to "mini forks" and rollbacks, if you monitor the Ethereum network you will noticed that there are a lot of block reorganization going one due to the short block times.
The same is most likely happening on Shift, perhaps even more so if the "parameters" have been tweaked

Currently you need to allow 'access control expose headers' if you don't in your browser. The Etherchain API does not have the headers for this loaded in, so I couldn't get cross domain requests to work, they kept getting rejected for "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource" if anybody has any ideas. Anyways, if the calc doesn't load for you, you can install that CORS plugin and it will work. Hope to have that resolved soon.
These numbers will look similar if you use a pool, haven't tried solo mining against them yet, so please let me know. The estimations on this for my pool mining have been between max +- 1 ETH so far.

Does usage of Counterparty's smart token system burn any XCP?
I assume you are referring to smart contracts? Then yes. Xcp is used as gas for the contract execution

Not to belabor the point, but I wasn't talking about the business model - I was talking about functionality. Basically, whether Counterparty's exchange functionality is going to remain relevant and be integrated into what Symbiont is doing -- will Symbiont be powered by Counterparty's exchange functionality -- or is there going to be complete or partial overlap between Counterparty's exchange funcitonality and whatever functionality Symbiont is putting together.
The obvious concern for any XCP holder is whether Counterparty is on its way to being made irrelevant by whatever Symbiont is doing. Basically, is Symbiont going to be of long-term benefit to Counterparty beyond some payments to XCP developers?
I assume that question/uncertainty is one of the factors (certainly not the only factor) that's been dragging down the XCP price and has kept it from recovering.
I don't think I've yet gotten a straight answer to a highly relevant question for XCP holders, but if I'm missing something here feel free to point it out.
From what I understand, there WILL NOT be a technology overlap because Symbiont will be powered by Counterparty. I repeat, Symbiont will running on Counterparty.
Symbiont is a business entity that will be profit driven and as such the only area where there might be overlaps are areas where services which the underlying technology is powered by counterparty are offered. For instances its possible (this is a just a random example) if Symbiont started offering a crowdfunding service they would be in direct competition with the likes of say "Koinify", swarm, etc
On the other hand, this does not really give them a business advantage because Counterparty is a free open source platform and anyone is free to develop any services on the platform. The only limitation being your imagination, expertise and effort.
However, if the purpose of your question was to derive a reason/cause for the price decline then your guess is as good as mine :-)

What are the options for moving XCP from one BTC address to another? I know of importing the private key into Counterwallet and sending from there. Are there any other options? Is there an ETA on the desktop wallet?
The gui desktop wallet is already here (its simple send/receives only though at the moment)

This is all addresses where is XCP and where have been but balance 0 XCP? Can anywhere see stats how much there coming new address and where old coins moving? All to old big holders or coming there new users.
(Found 8298 unique addresses with a total balance of 2640824.82423992 XCP)
Over 0.00000001 XCP are in #3914 address.
Over 1.0 XCP are in #2961 <1 XCP 64%
Over 10.0 XCP are in #2237 1-10 XCP 9%
Over 100.0 XCP are in #1528 10-100 XCP 8.5%
Over 500.0 XCP are in #1113 100-500 XCP 5%
Over 1000.0 XCP are in #960 500-1000 XCP 1.8%
Over 1500.0 XCP are in #160 1000-1500 XCP 9.5%
Over 2500.0 XCP are in #101 >2500 XCP 1.2%

Over 64% of addresses are empty and with under 1 XCP balance.
Over 9% of addresses have still burning amount coins. (not check if that is orginal burns)
50% of coins are in top 101 address.
Long way before there are 10000 active address, now looks like all transaction coming from few address and few peoples own coins...
Its not every user on Counterparty that holds XCP. There a lot of others who hold assets other than XCP like FLDC, GEMZ, LTBCOIN etc. So if taking into calculation the entire ecosystem is large than what is show in the graph... So perhaps a better metric would be to show growth of addresses with Counterparty Assets and NOT specifically limit it to XCP only

My first memory of Counterparty was when the "burn" was taking place. I thought it was a crazy idea at the time. It's nice to see the project is moving forward a year+ later.
So, as I keep reading through the previous forum posts and researching cases XCP being utilized, I do have one question.
Should I keep XCP on counterwallet mid to long term? What recourse or precautions can I take if the site goes MIA?

As long as you have your 12 word mnemonic phrase you always have access to your coins, even if the site goes MIA :-)

The script runs client side only (in your browser using javascript). No keys, passphrases are transmitted server side. For additional security the script can also be run while in offline/disconnected mode
The tool can be accessed at https://blockscan.com/tool_generatekey. Because it is built purely with javascript and html, all of the code is viewable online.

The GINI index - very interesting. I hope you will introduce more metrics as well. Makes it fun to compare assets.
For GINI I wonder if an adjusted calculation would add some value. For example, some assets have one owner/distribution address which holds almost all tokens. Look at FLDC. It has GINI > 99%. It's because the owner holds token that are yet not distributed.
Another thing is addresses with dust amounts. GINI is meant for a population (a finite amount of people). Bitcoin is made of an infinite amount of addresses and over time there will be lots of addresses with dust, which makes GINI look too high.
Suggested adjustment: 1) Do not include the one address with the largest holding. 2) Sort addresses and include only those that accumulated own 95% of all assets.

I agree. I will probably produce a filter for choosing a minimum threshold of number of addresses.
