China investors buying up california real estate...coorelation to btc?
by

http://www.nbcnews.com/business/chinese-buying-california-housing-2D11650640

To me, this practice, of draining practical wealth from the US is something that is calculated on the part of the chinese. Nobody in the US will pay for absorbent house prices nor is the US apt at the thought of $800 bitcoins, thus we sell, and chinese buy. As the article states, the chinese want to find a safe store of value for their wealth and they think housing in america is a good investment, and as we've seen btc as well. The chinese may play a bigger role in the eventual acceptance of bitcoin than we think. Similar to every time I walk into the grocery store everything is made in china, I have to accept that reality, because china cornered that market, and sooner or later, everyone will have to use bitcoins, because china cornered that market as well.

maybe the fbi will come busting down your door. who knows?

Well, the way the US is run these days, maybe it'll come busting down your door. Even odds.

such a small amount of money

Funny you should say that.

Good companies go through arbitration and have a settlement

Exactly. It's here.

not drag whole entire communities

You are very much confused as to what "whole communities" means. Hint: it's not you. It's not the other idiot and his coupla socks.
Good thing I'm not talking about you.

Belated $800 bump.

But don't you know that "bitcoins @  27-28 are way overpriced"? Interesting to see the OP still alive and well, but now he's in the betting subforums (check latest posts) - he decided that holding bitcoins is too dangerous - "If you continue to hold and lose your proverbial bum--blame no one but yourself" - but betting money on an outcome of events he has zero control of is a safe investment. Poor pal.
It looks like he has had to started all over, and take his small gains and invest them into ltc.

Page three stuff? This thread is becoming a sort of lulz Mecca is it.

I'm seriously only reading pages 1, 3, and 12 of this stuff
Are you not able to read? Most people here won't read through all 12 pages. And I did, and that's why I made the comment I did. Did you read that?

I find two good things coming from this thread, that proves in my mind bitbet is a smalltime scam operation.

This thread is 4th on google, and with numerous threads of similar accusations right underneath it.
The company will not refund such a small amount of money. Good companies go through arbitration and have a settlement, not drag whole entire communities through the mud and smear every person who doesn't bow down to your illegal practice.

So enjoy your $7000, maybe the fbi will come busting down your door. who knows?

I hope this is resolved, as it removes most of my interest in bitcoin as a means of transactions if the main aspect of bitcoin is the sense of community and personal responsibility, and the community has failed to justly take down such an obvious scam site and/or pressured the company into refunding the man his money for a service not rendered, then there is no honor among any of us.

As you can see from this emotionally charged post, I urged the OP to buy bitcoins as there needed to be a balance regarding the kinds of people who hold bitcoins, not receiving any response from the OP again, and only more retaliation from this nutjob who responded. I decided to buy... and if you look at the date of my posts july 8th, it seems that is what seems like the bottom is from the charts I'm looking at.

Anybody else have the insight to buy in at this moment?

$120 Was probably the worst moment in the last year to sell your Bitcoins ^^
i bought all mine at $115, pretty sure I called the low...

You have stupid friends. Find some smarter ones, or stick to talking about guns, girls, cars, and beer.

Who made the money? You!

Feel good😄

Dont worry so much about that what others say. When you get older you give a shit on what they say. Its good to spread the word.
they also started teasing me when I showed them my price chart app on my phone, they were like " do you sit there and watch it all day and cheer when it goes up"

We were talking about the twitter IPO, and one of the guys had invested in facebook when it launched, inside I laughed at him, but to maybe help them expand their horizons I brought up bitcoin, and told them about all of the money I have made, the ups and downs, its utility, how bitcoins are created etc etc... they started going online and looking up asics and shouting the names like they coulnd't take them seriously because of their names. I don't mine though, and I told them right now isn't the greatest time to invest in those. Then they started talking about buying a bunch of cheap computers off ebay, I'm pretty sure I explained the difficulty and the computing power needed. At least one of the guys was like, I'm gonna see this guy one day as a billionaire. The other guy not so much. I still can't tell if they were pulling my chain, maybe I'm too sensitive, but it sure felt like it... I guess I'll be the one laughing to the bank.

Re: What would happen to price if someone would buy Bitcoins with 1 Billion dollars?
by

on 24/10/2013, 18:36:37 UTC
It doesn't matter who is buying the bitcoin in determining the price. if oprah wants to buy a bitcoin she will pay market value, maybe a bit higher, but just because some buys a bitcoin with a billion dollars doesn't make a difference, only difference it would make is if they bought a billion dollars worth of bitcoins.

I bought a car on a 20k loan, with 2013 money. Now in 2014 it takes a 40k loan to buy that same car. Sucks to be that guy buying the car at 40k, I only have to gather up half as much money to meet my loan demands, but that money is easier to come by.

Re: The story behind my investment on letsdice.com

As soon as I saw the large colored font I knew it was this lying piece of shit talking shit.

He loves to jump to call out people with no evidenece of anything, just the words of one person.

Sad, sad little college age kid.  By the way, enjoy it up on Maryland on campus. Wink
1) You haven't even been on the forums long enough to know this story so you cannot judge whether it is true or not. Many agree with this statement and that Towtoad should have paid his 1300 BTC debt.
2) I am not "butthurt" over your comments with bitbook. What I am "butthurt" over is, when people who are obviously underage are asking questions about gambling. You should not be gambling in the first place.
3) I will PM the user who accused you of scamming. I will call greendot and find out who added the moneypak, they'll tell you if you're persistent enough.
4) Oh look you know I go to Maryland, would you happen to be Nickfor2, the degenerate who scams for hundred bucks? You sound very much like Xboxgames, who ran off with 5-15 BTC and wasn't too sharp on the specific types of betting himself. So yeah, everything about you screams a scammer, but sure I'll find out the info but if it turns out I'm right, I'll make sure to comment on every post you do til you leave and create a new account like you and all scammers eventually do.
well considering you are gambling on the internet and not in a real legal casino, I question your age as well.

For that matter, how can YOU question people's ages? Unless you track someone down individually there is no way to know, and simply asking a question about gambling does not make you not of age.

I guess I need to make a gambling site, considering the lack of logic people on this forum possess.
