Re: [WTB] Google+ Invite (0.1 BTC)

Google+ let me in. Never got an email about the invite so it could be unrelated, but I'll send payment anyway. Thanks!

Something like this happened to me. I found out that if the inviter adds the Gmail address, and the invitee is in before he even needs to check his email. The invitee just needs to update his profile.

Re: Bitcoin banner ad concepts

Here's a banner ad that is having pretty good success:

http://bitcoin.co.cc/r1/banner.jpg

If you click on it, it takes you to a purchase link via a re-direct link, to where you can pay and download the product. You can click on the CANCEL button which takes you to the web site.

Aren't these easily aquirable at banks?   Huh

Can't you just make bitcoins by running a program on your computer? Huh

Smiley Smiley Smiley

You question shows that you really don't understand that you can't do that.

Unless you are willing to make a major investment and build a mining rig, you will never mine a single block.

It seems that you can create as many wallets as you like.

Although making a a new thread for is fine, I thought it would be nice to have a place where media on Bitcoins could be consolidated.

If you have any videos you think others would be interested in seeing that doesn't necessarily warrant an entirely new thread, post away!

This Bitcoin show is pretty good: http://onlyonetv.com/

Re: Remote Computer Services
by
muc
on 26/06/2011, 01:55:36 UTC
On behalf of the company I work for, Tek Tek Computer Services, we'd like to offer remote computer and/or technical support services (via join.me, a LogMeIn web app) to the Bitcoin community. (Website link coming soon, having coworker add some updates to it first.)

http://i.imgur.com/xnxnf.jpg

We can help you out with (almost) anything, as long as it doesn't require plugging in cables or re-seating hardware! Let us know if you need help with something and we'll negotiate a price.

Some of our services include (but aren't limited to) the following:
Backup & Online Storage
Cable Managment
Computer Training
Computer Tune-up
Data Recovery
Email Setup
Hardware Installation
Hardware Repair
In-Home PC Hookup
Mobile Broadband
Network Security
Printer Setup
Printer Troubleshooting
Security & Performance
Software Install and Troubleshooting
Technology Consultation
Virus & Spyware Removal
Wired and Wireless Networking

Our flat rate is 4BTC an hour, however I don't imagine things ever taking that long (or to be measured in that type of increment since it is remote work) so, as I stated before, please just let us know what you need help with, and we will shoot you a manageable price. :]

Does LogMeIn require your client to sign an agreement with them?

Re: Advertising on my site
by
muc
on 26/06/2011, 01:48:34 UTC
I would like to sell advertising on my site. I'm currently getting between 200-400 hits a day and they are very interactive users. There in no minimum offer that I will not consider.

http://startbitcoin.com

Are we talking about a banner on all of your pages?

What is your expectation? That is, how much are you expecting per month?

I have a web site at http://www.bitcoin.co.cc/ that I would like to promote.

Revenues have been okay, but I figure advertising wouldn't hurt.

I can also offer reciprocal advertising back to your website for which I would reasonably expect a discount on what you would charge me.

Re: joke about Chinese and English
by
muc
on 26/06/2011, 01:28:00 UTC
Cheesy,,joke is a good food, you can get much happy form it,
i think every people need it.do you think so?O(∩_∩)O~
i will give a example:he friend ask a mental sluggishness of man: brokenhearted?
Man: no, I fell in love.
Friend: that you should be happy?
Man: in love too deep I can't swim, she pushed me up down, oneself ran!
chinese---(朋友问一精神萎靡的男人:失恋了?
男人:没有,我坠入爱河了。
朋友:那你应该高兴啊?
男人:爱河太深我不会游泳,她把我推下来,自己跑了)
do you like it,i waiting for you.
 bitcoin address:1QJ7oYvH7aMrtGPUjb7dhLx6QcQh6X3Sgb

A possible polished English version:

"Hearing a great joke is like being served a fine meal, at times, it can leave you feeling really satisfied. While dining out one night, a friend of mine told me that he had once encountered an unfortunate man of diminished mental capability, commonly referred to in the vernacular as a "bonehead," saying, "You, Sir, appear to be very sad. May I ask you what's the matter?" The man responded, "I'm not sad, just very much in love." My friend retorted, "Then shouldn't you be happy?" The man turned and said, "The problem I fear is that I'm in way too deep." My friend inquired, "So?" The man, appearing to be embarrassed, said, "I can't swim."

..and here's where the translation breaks down. I don't know what you mean by "she pushed me up down, oneself ran!" It doesn't make any sense in English. So I tried to spiff it up for you; even so, the joke is only slightly amusing in English without knowing the rest of the translation.
