Re: Did you hear about Virie?

Yes I've heard about Virie or shall I say, I've read a lot about it lately. It seems to be pretty promising. With its own blockchain, distributed exchange network and Escrow system, it looks a lot safer and fraud free. It also looks like a pretty good investment because while you buy the coins, you also continuously support the project of creating the virtual world. And here's more, their doing the crowdfunding because they don't want to sell the project to any big corporations to avoid falling under any avaricious organizations hence once you invest on it, automatically, you get to be a "shareholder" of the future virtual world. If you want to read more about it, here's an article I found earlier today: https://www.annerainwater.net/blog/virie-s-crowdfunding-campaign

I can't wait for the crowdfunding to be done so we can actually experience some of what they keep bragging about. Cheesy
Dyeing to see what's in it really!
Their promises are quite high and my hopes as well.

Can nanobots cure cancer?
by

on 28/11/2018, 14:02:13 UTC
Ok, so basically nanobots are some microscopic robots that are researched and developed more than we could think of. Nanobots are believed to be able to perform specific tasks at the molecular/atomic/cellular level.
There has been some experiments with successful results but we all are a bit skeptical about having tiny mechanism traveling in our body.. right?
I've seen this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNYb7urwrf4 that shows how this technology works for terminal cancer. It has only been tested on mouses for now but it had great results. Hopefully it can be available for humans too. I think it's awesome what the development of technology can do nowadays.. Don't you?

Trans-humanism leads to immortality?
by
much_word
on 28/11/2018, 13:37:55 UTC
We are all aware of the fact that no matter what we do to our bodies, they will eventually deteriorate. Diseases and illnesses are imminent. Until parts of our bodies will be made from circuits and microchips, we are not able to do much about it.
But what about VR? Virtual reality can give one the feeling he's physically real with no affected limbs or other organs. Right? There's no pain in VR but there is pain outside VR.. and you still feel it. Even though your mind is just playing a game.
I guess i'll just wait until body parts will be able to be replaced with bionic parts made to last. I think that's the way immortality will be like in the future. How do you see it?

Re: Should there be that many cryptocurrencies that exists?
by
much_word
on 26/11/2018, 13:27:20 UTC
As of August 2018, there are over 1600 cryptocurrencies that exist, according to Wikipedia. I know that Wikipedia isn't the most reliable of sources because anyone can edit it whenever they want, but the point is the number of cryptocurrencies being introduced. Some of the new cryptocurrencies I've heard were DeepBrainChain, ByteCoin, IOST, and Elastos. There's also a new coin called Virie, which is apparently a cryptocurrency used to crowdfund and jumpstart the Virternity Project, a project that aims to digitized our minds, economy and the society. I believe that not all new coins aim to scam people, but do we really need more cryptocurrencies? Do we need new cryptocurrencies for every project that exists? Why can't there be one or five cryptocurrencies that all projects can use?

I've heard of Virie as well.. and i think that they are actually doing quite good at the moment.
As of, on or max 5 cryptocurrencies.. i think that's easier for people to understand this mecca of online coins. I think that more and more people get lost in their online research and get unsure on which to invest and what to do with their investment, how trading works and how everything helps them. Also.. most of people don't really know what block chain means or is.. and also everybody thinks that all the online investments are some sort of scams by the end of the day.
So, in order to be able to have one unique currency, i think we should first educate the consumers and then unite as many currencies in order to have less on the market. Also, by putting together more currencies i can only guess that they will become more valuable and also governments will gain their trust and so we will have worldwide crypto payments made legal.
On the other hand, what the Virternity project aims is a really cool thing. I've been researching about it, read their book/project and i really hope there is a future for the idea.
An owners free world is what i've always dreamed of! Don't you?

Did you hear about Virie?

I saw some posts here & there about Virie..
As far as i understood is not only a new cryptocurrency but it also has a project behind it that aims to create a virtual future, a virtual marketplace that has no owners but rather is based on small investors (people) through crowdfunding.
What do you think about it? Should i research more and why not invest in it?

Re: Just one currency
by
much_word
on 22/11/2018, 14:45:05 UTC
I only travel outside the country maybe 3 to 4 times a year but whenever I do I wish there is just one currency that I could use whether it is "real" money or virtual money. I just think it would be more efficient if there is one common currency since the world is getting smaller anyway and traveling the world has been in vogue for quite some time now. I can use my credit card, yes, but it often makes me wonder how much money would I be charged at the end of the billing period if say the currency exchange changes a lot from the time I swiped my credit card. And well, I just don't want the bank charges. Is there a possibility for a crypto to be able to provide this service?

I think that a unique currency could be a way to equalize markets. It will be quite beneficial for countries with low income or undeveloped ones because this way their governments will be forced to "play" and pay as others do and this will make less people move to other countries to work and leave children behind in grandparents care just to bring more money on the table.. Also, making a unique currency world-wide will be beneficial to the local producers. Instead of traveling to cheaper countries for groceries (like Danes that go to Germany or Romanians going to Bulgaria) will increase the local production and will give a bigger profit to the country market.

Let's go to Singapore! We can pay with Btc there.

I saw this article today: https://news.bitcoin.com/singapore-regulatory-framework-cryptocurrency-payment-services/ about paying with cryptocurrencies in Singapore.
The central bank has finalized the new regulatory framework for payment services and they have included cryptocurrencies.
I think this is the future of banking and something that all countries should start doing.
The plus of making this change in the financial system is that there will be less money laundering and terrorism financing risks in the crypto world which is good for normal people that have hope and invest in online coins but bad for the ones that use the online coins for the reasons mentioned before.

What do you think? Is it a good idea to introduce cryptocurrencies in the financial systems of the world's countries?

Depression.. the disease of our times?
by
much_word
on 19/11/2018, 20:30:43 UTC
I hear more and more young people around me that they feel depressed, alone and lonely.. I am not sure if they totally understand what depression is and how does that feel.
Sometimes I want to punch them in the face when i hear them like: "omg, he broke up with me after one month, i am sooo depressed!". Seriously now, it's been one month!
Anyway, i think young people nowadays really like to play the victim and look powerless in front of the society so they can victimize themselves and then people to emphasize with them and feel pity for them.
I am just sick of hearing people: I am so depressed. They have no idea how depression eats you alive from the inside..

Am I right? Do you see it my way?

More tech integration in our lives.
by
much_word
on 15/11/2018, 12:30:31 UTC
All the discussions and development about cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, AI, AR, VR, etc. is just done at an individual level right now.
The best part could be integrating more into one.. for example: creating a virtual reality where a cryptocurrency will be the unique coin and where we would live a virtual eternity in an AI will be controlling the servers and all the tech behind the software and back-ups operations.
Do you think that can be possible?
Imagine all the tech combined.. could lead to an eternal life for human consciousness.

I really thought immortal and invisible could be the success keys that can give you a fulfilled life.
Now, i still want them but that can be possible only if we all move into a virtual kind of world.

Hi guys

I am thinking that with all this facebook, instagram and other social media platforms, more and more people are influenced to do what others consider morally or society accepted.

How much does social media changes your opinion?
Can we do something about it?

Re: Entertainment options

My way of entertainment includes playing games on PS4 and going out with my gf.
Regards VR i can't afford yet all the equipment or other things you need.
I guess VR is the future and we should invest in it. More and more are just staying in the house and use it rather than go out and socialize.

Is VR a good place for people with dark thoughts?
by
much_word
on 08/11/2018, 22:23:58 UTC
First of all, there are lots of people who have dark thought, enjoy aggressive or violent entertainment..
Second, VR is a place of endless possibilities.. where you can fantasize about basically anything.
Will VR be a good option to satisfy the needs of some individuals without harming others?

VR can increase your income?
by
much_word
on 06/11/2018, 00:02:54 UTC
I know that 360 degrees advertising is already in use. But how about VR advertising? Could that be a thing?
A lot of companies could benefit from doing virtual ads due to the possibility of "being inside" a hotel room, or a car, or a restaurant.
I guess there is a lot of work to do until companies will do this but it will be worth waiting.
