It is very common to fall in the hands of scammers when try to invest but you can also avoid been scam by going straight to cryptocurrency exchange that are using USD just convert your USD to bitcoin there. They are still allot of fake exchanges that intend to scam investor by clone other exchange with similar URL so always check before you login

Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?
at first i was blaming those that was issued airdrop coins and started dumping it not untill i now released that most of those airdrops are nothing but shit just imaging that i will registered for airdrop and you will be given 40000 coin and it won't worth upto 10$ and some won't even being in exchange at all so i don't see and reason to keep a coin that does not have any good future.

Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ??
by

on 01/10/2018, 19:27:51 UTC
I was a part of korona coin signature campaign from the bountyhive portal after working of 3-4 months i get to know that ICO did not reached the soft cap and i was not awarded any thing....that has caused me depression now....how the hell i choose a good bounty...after doing some research users suggested me bountyhive is good and i got this...what now...how to choose a good bounty that atleast pays somthing...some say good bounty managers but some of those campaign pays as well.....which ico rating sites are best for this please help....

Currently which is the best campaign to join can anyone suggest.... Huh
i don't see ico rating site as a best option to mean if ico is good and not because in most cases those bodies are rating for fund not because they know and trust those ico, I have for many icos rate by this same site and at the end turn up to be a scam. so it think the best way to see or know if ico is good or not is
1) the content of the website and whitepaper
2) doing some research about the team members
3) do some research about the bounty manager because most of those scam ico are manage by newbies or jr. member, once the manager has a good reputation them you trust the project.

Re: How well does Bitcoin function as a currency?
by

on 01/10/2018, 14:47:18 UTC
Successful currencies meet three criteria:

(1) they are in widespread use as medium of exchange
(2) they serve as unit of account
(3) they are a stable store of value.

Most sovereign currencies fully meet all three criteria.

What about Bitcoin?
Many people still refused to understand that bitcoin is a currency duo we all know that it not yet legalized just like other local currency to it still place great row in the aspect of online payment, many online trade can now use bitcoin to purchased or pay of service online using bitcoin so with this it already absolving the row of currency.

Re: GOOD NEWS!!! South Korea on BITCOIN
by

on 01/10/2018, 14:40:33 UTC
The South Korea taking their move on regulating Bitcoin.

The government’s stance and actions thus far indicate an interest in encouraging blockchain technology and the growth of cryptocurrencies, but not at the expense of safety and security. Stated one trade ministry official:

"Any major reversal in policies is unlikely, but the government seems to believe a gradual shift in attitude toward crypto-based assets is needed. What regulators should do is figure out how to regulate them properly and prudently as Korea needs to put more emphasis on blockchain technology after obtaining knowhow and understanding of the possible flipside of cryptocurrency trading."

Read the full report: https://bitcoinist.com/south-korea-moving-towards-cryptocurrency-acceptance/

It good news anyway if really are get the news from a right source because many people have been post or creating similar post just merit or signature sake, so I think it very important to get a news from a right source before spreading it to avoid misleading people with your post just .

Re: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors?

Hi, I'm a crypto developer doing dapps and blockchain-related software products.
I have found some interesting difference between bitcoin investors and altcoin investors.
It seems like bitcoin holders(like you guys) are more focus when discussing news and crypto-related issues.
Altcoin holders are more...how do I put this....more impatient and cannot focus on any subject for more than 3 days.
What do you think of this phenomenon?
I guess is not all about the coin ( bitcoin or Altcoin ) is all about individual difference which mean bitcoin investor are more committed to there investment more than Altcoin investor. Because they believe in what they have

To me i believe bitcoin is a currency which can be used to pay for goods and services duo it not yet legalized by government as a local currency but it functional online, secondly bitcoin can also be classified as an asset because today we can all see that may people now buy bitcoin not just for payment purpose but for future storing. so with this can say bitcoin be a currency or an asset

Re: Lost Bitcoin

back in 2010 I bought some bitcoin.
I wrote down on a piece of paper characters similiar to the one below.

Has anyone seen a 15 character key/phrase of the likes of:

JPGZE4MATACPN8L

Could this be part of blockchain dot com wallet or the bitcoin core wallet ?

Any help is appreciated
it really get frustrated when you misplace your private key because all your investment will be lost, i think this is not private key rather it like phase password from either authentificator or any other means to recover password. just calm down and think well you will be able to fix the right password or phase out.

Re: Hodl or sell right now ?
by
muhammedb
on 28/09/2018, 23:37:29 UTC
Will you hold bitcoin for bull market or you will sell it now ? Bitocoin as well as other altcoins are in green at the moment and this week is proving out to be a better week for crypto world so are you gonna sell all your bitcoins before there is any further market drop or you will hold it for bull market if it happens this year ? Or else you would like to sell Joe and reinvest when price dips again ?
dumping bitcoin was never a good options but mean people fine it difficult to believe bitcoin will raise again after a hug price down, but never the less dumping or selling now will never makes you achieve your aim of buying so i guest the best i to do now is to hold for green world to happen again in cryptocurrency.

Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ??
by
muhammedb
on 24/09/2018, 23:06:58 UTC
It is said now China is a "cashless society". Use of debit cards and credit cards on online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

USA and UK/England are into use of credit cards and debit cards in a big way for online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

Will Bitcoin survive in "cashless society" where money becomes digital/numbers ??

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries"
i think bitcoin is among this cashless currency because is digital currency it can also play a great roll in the cashless society hoping to see bitcoin as number on currency in my country.

Re: LIKE IT OR NOT, BITCOIN IS AN INVESTMENT
by
muhammedb
on 24/09/2018, 21:38:01 UTC
                             In an economic sense,
An INVESTMENT is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth.
                                         In finance
An INVESTMENT is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will later be sold at a higher price for a profit.

I really don't want to turn these into an economics class but the both definition of what investments are clearly should settle the argument of whether BTC is truly an investment or not.

to my own opinion and point of view, bitcoin is both asset and currency even when people do buy and storing BTC some other still used it to pay for goods and service so to does who used it for business purpose it a currency to them why does who buy and store is an investment to those categories so don't be so confused with it complicated used.

Re: Hackers on the rampage again, 59M $ Stolen
by
muhammedb
on 23/09/2018, 17:01:32 UTC
I saw this going through my Reddit early news. I don't think this will have any negative impact on the market.
I have always wonder the security level of Cryptocurrency exchanges. Although am not a Cyber-security expert, but have once heard of something called "multiple signature" been required for withdrawal.  Such fear of exchanges been hacked is a course for concern for someone wanting to invest big in the market. My take is that: for now, use well trusted exchanges that have zero tolerance for security breaches, and try not to leave too much fund in an exchange. I hope customers get compensated since it's a management lapses.
yes, most people take exchange as personal wallet were they can store coin. Like i always say it 100% risk to leave fund on any exchange because u don't the full control of it. many exchange owner are weak in the part of security. just pray the customers get compensate too because is every frustrating when you get hacked.

Re: Does bitcoin control the market?
by
muhammedb
on 23/09/2018, 16:42:46 UTC
Most people believe that the price of altcoins' is determined by the price of bitcoin and that they tend to follow it's market movements.

I partially disagree with this. I have studied prices of coins and tokens on CMC and the fluctuations of each currency seems to be unique and independent of any other digital currency. Some show strong pumps when BTC goes down and some heavy dumps when BTC is rising.

Undoubtedly, there are market forces and factors which affects most currencies, this is not influenced by bitcoins price, it rather controls bitcoins' price as well as others.
So when trading or investing, make sure you treat each currency differently as they have different utilities.
In my own suggestion i think i will say this people are right when they say the price of cryptocurrency is been control by bitcoin, because i have really come to understand something about altcoin price that when ever ethereum is going down other coin join him too and what is the may reason the ethereum price is down mainly because bitcoin price is down so with this little view of mine i think i agree with the body that say bitcoin regulate crypt market.
